Chapter 64: You confess first

Hearing this voice, Yan Yunci quickly closed the tablet, turned around and shouted, "Chen Yuhan, don’t peek at my tablet!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Chen Yuhan bent his index finger and tapped her forehead, "How many times do I have to tell you to call me brother?"

Yan Yunci felt the pain, covered her forehead and said, "Why did you come so early? Grandpa is still doing Tai Chi."

Chen Yuhan pulled up the chair next to her, sat down, and said casually, "This is my home too. Can’t I come back after I move to my own place?"

Hearing his voice, the nanny came out of the kitchen and said with a smile, "Young Master, you are back. Do you want to have breakfast?"

"Just a cup of black coffee. Thank you, Aunt Ma."

"Have you eaten yet?" Yan Yunci asked.

"I have no appetite in the morning," Chen Yuhan said casually.

Hearing his words, Yan Yunci frowned and said, "How can you drink black coffee on an empty stomach? You will destroy your stomach if you keep skipping breakfast."

Then, she looked towards the kitchen and shouted, "Aunt Ma, help cook a bowl of chicken porridge for him too."

"Okay, miss." Aunt Ma said from the kitchen.

Seeing that she was worried about him, Chen Yuhan raised the corners of his lips slightly, and his eyes softened when he looked at her. He loved seeing her worry about him.

Seeing the strawberry jam on her lips, he wiped it with a napkin and said, "Look at you. You are already this big, but you still eat like a child. I don’t know who is so unlucky to be your husband in the future."

Yan Yunci let him wipe her lips and said, "Don’t worry. I’m married."

Hearing this, Chen Yuhan’s hands froze. He looked at her, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Is it Feng Zhexuan?"

Yan Yunci moved her index finger in front of him and said, "It’s not him."

"So, who is it?" he asked with a frown.

She thought for a while and said, "Someone called Lin Hao."

Realizing that she couldn’t even remember her husband’s name, Chen Yuhan asked doubtfully, "You said you were married, but you don’t even know who your husband is?"

"Well, to make a long story short, I was going to marry Feng Zhexuan. But because of some things, I accidentally married this man."

"So, do you plan to continue this marriage?" he asked again.

There was a hint of anxiety and concern in his voice.

Yan Yunci looked at him and said, "Of course not. I don’t even know him, how can this marriage continue? What’s more, this mistake is because this man and Feng Zhexuan did not come in person, but sent their lawyer and assistant to register the marriage on their behalf."

"Then what are your plans? Are you..."

Before Chen Yuhan finished speaking, Yan Yunci added, "Grandpa has already met President Lin and canceled the marriage. So, I am single again now."

Chen Yuhan raised his eyebrows and asked, "Did they agree?"

Thinking of Lin Xiao’s behavior that day, Yan Yunci nodded and said, "Well, Lin Xiao seems to be quite easy to talk to. When grandpa asked him to terminate the engagement, he readily agreed."

"Didn’t he ask for anything?" he asked again.

Yan Yunci thought for a while then said, "It seems that he said something about work then Grandpa agreed to his request. I wasn’t paying attention to their conversation."

Chen Yuhan felt relieved when he heard this. As long as the man asks for something then that’s fine. If he agreed to break off the marriage without asking for anything, that would be troublesome because he must have a hidden intention.

While he was in deep thoughts, Aunt Ma placed a bowl of chicken porridge and a cup of black coffee on the table and said, "Young Master, this is your breakfast."

"Thank you, Aunt Ma."

After Aunt Ma returned to the kitchen, she gave them a meaningful look. It seems that the young master is not as indifferent as the Master said. But if he hesitates too long, the young miss might be snatched away by another man.

After finishing breakfast, Yan Yunci wiped her mouth and said, "I have finished breakfast. Yuhan, eat slowly. I’m going back to the room first."

Seeing her leaving, Chen Yuhan suddenly asked, "Yunci, do you have any plans for New Year’s Eve?"

When she realized that today was already December 30th, Yan Yunci’s eyes lit up and she said, "I don’t have a plan, but now I want to make a plan with someone. Why do you ask so suddenly?"

"Oh, I was just asking," Chen Yuhan suddenly lost her appetite.

"Is it a man or a woman?" he asked.

Yan Yunci looked at him and felt that he really liked to control her like an elder brother. Since he was the only family she had besides her grandfather, she decided to tell him.

"It’s a woman. Her name is Yan Yuling"

"Is she the reason you changed your name?"

Yan Yunci nodded and said, "Well, I didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable coming to our house. Besides, this name didn’t suit me very well, so I changed my name. Don’t you think my name sounds better now?"

"Mhmm, I heard from Grandpa. This name suits you very well," he said with a smile.

Hearing this, she rolled her eyes at him and said, "Since you already know, why are you asking? Anyway, you continue to have breakfast. I want to change clothes and go out."

Before he could ask her where she was going, Yan Yunci had already run to her room on the second floor. Looking at her back, he sighed.

He frowned and said to himself, "Should I ask Grandpa for permission first, or should I confess first?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Grandpa Yan said, "You should confess first. After Yunci came of age, you already got my permission."
