Chapter 33: Young Madam

"Good evening, Chairman Feng. My name is Yan Yuling. I’m sorry to disturb you. I have something to discuss with you, can you spare some time for me?"

After listening to her introduction, Grandpa Feng was pleasantly surprised. He is thinking about finding his granddaughter-in-law. But before he could get her information, she called him.

After knowing her identity, Grandpa Feng’s voice softened when he asked, "It turns out to be Miss Yan. Where did you get my phone number?"

Hearing this friendly tone, Yan Yuling silently breathed a sigh of relief. She was worried that Chairman Feng was a harsh old man who looked down on her. Unexpectedly, he sounded like an amiable grandpa.

"I’m sorry, Chairman Feng, I can’t tell you. I called you today to talk about my unexpected marriage to your grandson."

On the other end of the phone, Grandpa Feng’s eyes lit up when he heard her words. He nodded and said, "This matter cannot be discussed over the phone. How about you come to my house and we can discuss it in person?"

Yan Yuling looked at the time and hesitated, "This.."

Hearing her hesitation, Grandpa Feng added, "Send me your location and I will ask my assistant to pick you up."

After considering the pros and cons, Yan Yuling agreed, "Okay. Thank you, Chairman Feng."

By the time she walked back to the emergency room, Gu Jianci had already woken up. He leaned on the pillow and said, "Yuling, did I scare you? I’m sorry for making you worry."

Yan Yuling sat on the edge of the bed, touched Gu Jianci’s forehead and asked, "Jianci, how do you feel? Is there any discomfort?"

Gu Jianci shook his head and said, "I feel much better after sleeping."

"Jianci, I still have things to deal with. Do you want to stay here or go back to the dormitory?" Yan Yuling asked.

After hearing her words, the light in Gu Jianci’s eyes dimmed. The next second, he looked at her with a smile and said, "I will stay here. When I finished the IV, I could go back to the office and sleep. There is surgery tomorrow."

Yan Yuling looked at her friend distressedly. Although the income is good, being a doctor is a very hard and tiring job. She held his hand and said, "Okay. If you need anything, call me. I will come to see you again tomorrow."

"Don’t worry about me, you can go about your business. Be careful on the road," Gu Jianci nodded.

After leaving the hospital, Yan Yuling waited at the roadside near the hospital’s entrance. Thirty minutes later, a black Bentley pulled over and Li Haosen stepped out of the driver’s seat.

He walked up to her and said, "Miss Yan, I’m sorry to keep you waiting."

"It’s fine. I also just arrived," Yan Yuling smiled at him.

Li Haosen opened the back seat door for him and motioned for her to get in the car. Although she was not favored by her father, she was used to this kind of treatment since she was a child. So, she just nodded to Li Haosen and got into the car gracefully and calmly.

After driving for nearly an hour, they arrived at the Feng family’s house. Unlike luxury villas located in the city outskirts, this house is located in a prime location, surrounded by mountains and lakes. Every inch of land is more valuable than gold.

After entering the gate, they still need to drive for more than five minutes to reach the main entrance. Looking at the magnificent house and garden, Yan Yuling decided to cancel the marriage.

It is impossible for her to marry into a wealthy family. Not only was her background far inferior to that of the Feng family, but it was also because she didn’t want to be dragged into the mess of a wealthy family.

When she got out of the car, the housekeeper was already waiting for her at the door. As soon as the housekeeper saw her, he bowed to her and said, "Young madam, welcome home."

Hearing this, Yan Yuling quickly shook her head and said, "Uncle, I am not your young madam. Please call me Yan Yuling."

Hearing this, the housekeeper smiled, motioned for her to follow, and said, "Young madam, Master is already waiting for you. Please come with me."

Yan Yuling sighed as her words were ignored by the housekeeper, and followed him in silence.

’It doesn’t matter, this is the only time I come to this place. After the marriage was dissolved, I was no longer their young madam.’ she thought.

The housekeeper placed a pair of brand new pink slippers on the ground and said, "Young madam, this slipper is prepared by the Master for you. Please change your shoes."

Looking at the cute little kitten-shaped slippers, Yan Yuling smiled and changed her shoes. Stepping on the soft and fluffy slippers, she couldn’t help but curl her toes to feel the softness.

When they walked to the living room, she saw an old man in a dark blue Tang suit drinking tea and watching the news.

The living room is very spacious and can accommodate thirty or more people without any problem. In the huge house, the old man sat alone on the sofa, looking so lonely.

The housekeeper stood in front of Grandpa Feng and said, "Master, the young madam is here."

Grandpa Feng raised his head and looked at Yan Yuling from head to toe for a moment, with a smile on his face. After he looked at her carefully, he was even more satisfied. Although his grandson’s wife is beautiful and enchanting, her clothes are simple and she has the aura of a scholar.

He waved his hand to her and said, "Child, come, sit next to Grandpa."

Yan Yuling felt flattered by Grandpa Feng’s warm welcome and walked over in a daze.

When she sat next to him, Grandpa Feng nodded repeatedly and said happily, "Good, good, good. You look better in person."

"Child, can Grandpa call you Xiao Yuling?" Grandpa Feng asked.
