As Zar slowly turned his head toward her, Xue Qing obtained a way better understanding of his flawlessness. It was to the point where she felt that she’d do anything for him were he to ask her.

Zar’s eyebrows furrowed, making the girl nervous. "What are you?" he asked with narrowed eyes, already activating his Lifespan Barrier. "And why are you hiding in the body of this girl?"

Before Xue Qing could properly reply to his weird question, her consciousness blanked. Zar had done this using his Spiritual Energy.

Zar revealed a small smile that fired an arrow into her heart.

"What I want from you is simple," Zar began. "I want you to return to your previous strength and become one of my backers. And to get you there, I’ll do whatever I can to assist."

Xue Qing found herself at a loss for words.
