Chapter 764: Chapter 479 Assistance from an Older Brother_4
"The text discussed the drawbacks of cultivating cultivators through the Dual Cultivation Path from various angles."
"From a top-level perspective, the Dual Cultivation Technique offers more short-term benefits than detriments, but when the time frame extends beyond fifteen years, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits."
"Indeed, the cultivation speed during the early stages of dual cultivation is very fast, but it comes at the cost of overextending the cultivator’s potential."
"After all, the essence of dual cultivation lies in using the technique to resonate and exchange qi between the two practitioners, while the human body’s meridians, Sea of Consciousness, and Dantian all possess a strong resistance to foreign qi."
"Once or twice won’t affect one’s talent, but over time, the accumulated Origin Qi of others inside one’s body will cause a repelling reaction, significantly slowing down the cultivation speed to a crawl, and making it very easy to succumb to cultivation deviation."
"Even those with an Innate Taoist Body cannot afford such wastefulness."
"Still, the Dual Cultivation Path involves the basic nature of human desires, which easily attracts a large number of talented and exceptional individuals."
"Over time, the number of top combatants would diminish."
"As for promoting it among the ordinary soldiers at the bottom..."
"Indulgence in rampant pleasure, an army eroded by passion, is neither easy to manage nor likely to form an effective force."
"Additionally,"
"that confidential report also offered up a devastating scheme."
"Placing spies within Sects, spreading the Dual Cultivation Technique among the lower-ranking disciples, and even within the martial arts schools operated by the Sects, in order to cut off their martial prowess."
"With tens of thousands of words, almost every future plot was thoroughly laid out."
"At the end of this report, it was his father who had personally written a single word,"
"’Agree.’
"This vicious plot was carried out, but the result was a failure."
"There were capable individuals among the Sects in the world, and they saw through the schemes of The Imperial Court and began to sternly forbid their disciples from practicing the Dual Cultivation Technique."
"As it evolved to the present day, the practice of the Dual Cultivation Technique has thoroughly declined..."
"Since you do not deny it, then I will calculate it for you at two hundred thousand silver per copy of the Dual Cultivation Technique," said Hua Hong as he collected the techniques on the desk into the Sumeru Ring, speaking softly, "That makes a total of seven million nine hundred thousand, I’ve noted it down. You are now feigning death, inconvenient to appear in public, but if there’s anything you need, feel free just to contact me directly..."
"Old man Hua, you misunderstand," Xu Yuan said with a smile, interrupting Hua Hong, "This money isn’t for me; just note it down under Xinyao’s name."
Hua Hong’s eyebrows raised slightly, his voice filled with surprise:
"Xinyao? Why give her such a large sum of money?"
"Hmm..."
Xu Yuan looked up at the Inscription Lamp on the ceiling, pausing thoughtfully, and the corners of his lips curled into a smile:
"Consider that money a small token of support from this brother for the path the girl has always been following.
"Even if, she is bound to fail."

Happy New Year.
Thank you to the readers who are still casting monthly votes and reading the book this month.
The updates this month have been a bit... oh no, particularly lackluster, for which I apologize here.
or2
I’ve spent the month as a shrinking turtle, with sturdy shell and all-round defense ()
Cough, after being holed up for so long, it’s time to poke my head out and make excuses.
I, the salted fish, am an author that heavily relies on inspiration. Unlike those accustomed to using outlines and detailed plans, without inspiration, even if I’ve figured the outline, writing can be extremely painful for me.
Of course, there’s also laziness.
Old readers probably know that when I write up to a certain word count, I start to sag—a very mystical feeling—unable to find the previous enthusiasm for writing, nor the desire to express myself. My writing skills and the ability to craft the plot are in decline, dissatisfied with everything I write.
This situation emerged around the "Northern Frontier" Chapter. I didn’t manage to convey the feeling I wanted in this Chapter— the Barbarian King’s character design, the Barbarian King’s manner of death, Li Qingyan, and the interaction between Li Qingyan and the protagonist did not bring out the effect I desired. As a result, this Chapter ended up being long and tedious, like an old lady’s footbinding cloth.
This may be a downside of serial novels and a limit of my own capabilities as well.
I spent the month trying to find the reason and realized it was probably because I hadn’t "recharged" myself for a long time.
Ever since I started writing "Fairy," I had hardly done any reading; books, movies, anime, manga—I almost stopped watching them all.
These past two months, I’ve been reading a lot of books and watching anime, series, and playing games.
Now I feel like this bottleneck should have almost been broken through.
It should be broken through.
Regular updates will resume next month, and thanks to all the readers who have made it this far~
