Let Me Explain, Fairy
Chapter 1019 - 634: Master and Disciple’s Dao Domain

Chapter 1019: Chapter 634: Master and Disciple’s Dao Domain

If facing the Wolf Demon was a despairing inevitability of death, then the arrival of the black-skirted girl actually gave Chao Hanbiao a faint glimmer of hope.

Although the opponent was ruthless and decisive, her actions were logical.

If she killed simply because of a glance, then everyone present—over a hundred people—would likely have already perished in an instant.

As for the dozen guards who were blown into blood mist?

In Chao Hanbiao’s view, they utterly deserved their fate. In a desolate wilderness, with death looming near, they dared to let their lecherous gazes travel toward such an enchanting Fairy—from top to bottom no less? Spoiled by their cultivation all this time, they acted recklessly; when confronted with a tough opponent, who else should die if not them?

It’s not a comforting feeling to have one’s life firmly grasped in another’s hand. However, based on Chao Hanbiao’s experience, when facing such a prominent and volatile figure, maintaining obedience could increase one’s chance of survival.

But this hope shattered the moment he heard that nightingale-like voice echo in the air.

"Master....."

"Energy Mechanism Lock....."

Upon hearing these words, Chao Hanbiao instinctively tightened his grasp on the waist knife in his hand—only able to gain a false sense of security this way.

Too afraid to look up, he didn’t know what was happening around him but could roughly guess what might come next.

Because,

The opponent didn’t use Inner Strength to transmit these words discretely...

Despite having prepared himself mentally countless times, when truly facing the specter of death, he was still engulfed in a suffocating abyss-like dread.

Unconsciously, Chao Hanbiao lifted his head, intending to say something, hoping to offer everything he had in exchange for his life. Yet as he raised his gaze, what he saw stunned him instantly.

The desert night was silent—so quiet that it seemed as if time itself had been paused.

Threads of cracks appeared in the air, like shattered glass. The surrounding desert scenery peeled away in fragmented shards. The starry river entered a dream; the heavens turned upside down. Amidst a cosmos as black as ink, golden specks of light emerged one by one, glittering like stars.

Chao Hanbiao’s thoughts halted. Before everything plunged into darkness, he glimpsed the figure of the white-clothed Fairy standing in the skies, and heard her cold, emotionless, and refined voice.

"Which generation of Pavilion Master are you?"

In the instant the Dao Domain unfolded, the hundred or so mortal Martial Apprentices on the ground lost their lives under the terrifying pressure.

Looking at the golden stars circling the surroundings, Tian Ye’s water-like golden eyes flickered with a trace of contemplation.

The current Jiantian Pavilion Master directly started by deploying her Dao Domain. However, in doing so, the decision could be considered a wise move.

Both of them practiced the Yantian Art. With their cultivation levels evenly matched, engaging in direct Spellcraft conflict would lead neither side to triumph.

While thinking this, Tian Ye’s expression carried a trace of grievance, and she softly murmured:

"Master, I don’t quite understand what you’re saying....."

"......"

Standing in the void, Tian Yuan’s expression was indifferent, her gaze fixated quietly on the familiar yet unfamiliar girl below, her tone still emotionless:

"Tianyan would not kill indiscriminately, nor would she use a conversational tone like yours. Moreover, the Celestial Fates Divine Soul cannot be possessed. The only explanation is that the Pavilion Master, sharing the same cultivation of the Yantian Art, has taken over her body."

Upon hearing this, Tian Ye’s lips curled with a trace of disinterest. She let out a small snort and replied:

"I thought you’d be sad for your disciple at least once. The State of Divine Nothingness is truly a dull Secret Technique; every generation of Pavilion Masters is the same—like lifeless walking corpses."

Tian Yuan remained utterly unmoved by this provocation.

Amongst the flowing golden stars within the Dao Domain, she raised a slender hand and grasped one of them in her palm:

"Should I understand your words to mean that you’re not the Pavilion Master, but one of the fortunate surviving Saintesses from a prior generation?"

Tian Ye slowly ascended, her tailored black skirt fluttering in the wind as she smiled and spoke:

"The State of Divine Nothingness isn’t entirely without use—it sharpens your reactions quite well."

Upon hearing this, Tian Yuan’s distant and golden gaze carried a flicker of thought as she tightened her grip on the golden star in her hand and said, with a calm tone:

"If you survived as a Saintess, it means you once deciphered the surveillance of the Spiritual Heavenly Instrument. Yet, to be discovered by me now suggests Tianyan still lives and that you’re merely temporarily occupying her body."

Staring at the other’s movements, Tian Ye didn’t deny this. She chuckled and said:

"You’re quite correct. As expected of the Jiantian Pavilion Master. So, what’s your next move? Are you going to rip me out of her body?"

"Crack—"

The golden star in Tian Yuan’s hand shattered, replaced by an intangible sword blade. She leveled it before her eyes, her gaze swept across the sharp blade toward Tian Ye, her voice tranquil like falling snow:

"The Great Calamity is near. Tianyan was born to face this calamity, so she cannot be influenced by a traitor like you, nor can I tolerate you aiding anyone connected with the calamity."

"Is that so?"

Upon hearing this, Tian Ye’s aura began to soar: "But your beloved disciple seems to have her own interests in aiding calamity-linked individuals~ Even if you return her to safety, she might not be much help."

Tian Yuan remained entirely unaffected, drawing the sword blade piece by piece from its sheath as the erupting Sword Qi split the desert oasis below in two:

"Since you were once a Saintess, you should be aware of Jiantian Pavilion’s capabilities."

Hearing this, Tian Ye paused slightly, her voice suddenly tinged with a faint excitement:

"You intend to forcibly push Tianyan into the fourth phase of the State of Divine Nothingness? Now that you mention it, I find myself not wanting to fight you after all."

However, halfway through her sentence, Tian Ye changed her tone with a sigh, saying softly:

"Unfortunately, I made a promise to someone to bring the Qilin Wolf back, so I cannot yet return Tianyan to you, Pavilion Master~"

As her words fell,

The two figures floating in mid-air reached their peak momentum simultaneously. At this critical crescendo, Tian Ye also unleashed her Dao Domain.

Heaven and earth froze instantly. Within the boundless starry Dao Domain, those golden stars that rippled in intricate patterns suddenly ceased their rotation!

Upon witnessing this scene, Tian Yuan, who had been preparing to act, immediately halted her movements. A glimmer of consideration flickered in her eyes like green waves lined with gold.

Tian Ye smiled faintly and gazed at the current Jiantian Pavilion Master, whispering:

"Have you decided not to act after seeing my Dao Charm? Truthfully speaking, if you used the Sword Saint’s Dao Domain, I might genuinely find it troublesome to handle."

Tian Yuan looked around at the Dao Domain space, now frozen in time, her expression cold as snow but ceasing all action.

As Jiantian Pavilion’s towering sect-defining technique, the Yantian Art was indisputably powerful. However, despite this strength, the types of Dao Charm available for cultivation by Saint Heirs and Saintesses were notably restricted.

Currently reflecting on her thoughts, Tian Yuan spoke quietly:

"Are you... also Tianyan?"

"Does it matter?"

Tian Ye blinked playfully at her opponent and laughed lightly, saying: "At this point, I’m no longer part of Jiantian Pavilion. Does being Tianyan truly matter?"

"....."

Tian Yuan didn’t respond, her golden eyes gazing deeply at Tian Ye, as if coming to a definitive decision. Suddenly, she formed a spell seal with her hands.

Tian Ye narrowed her gaze and simultaneously tried to form her own seals to prevent her, but was hindered by Tianyan’s body and couldn’t match her speed.

In an instant.

The limitless starry Dao Domain dissipated. The desert oasis reemerged, and Tian Yuan’s flowing white-clothed figure vanished entirely, leaving behind only a transmitted voice ringing in Tian Ye’s ears:

"I have a rough understanding of your identity. For now, I’ll entrust Tianyan’s body to you. If you wish to aid Xu Changtian, you may attempt it."

"......"

Gazing at the vast sea of stars, Tian Ye stood in mid-air for a long while after withdrawing her Dao Domain, exhaling softly:

"Tian Qing was like this, Tianrui was like this, regardless of strength, every generation of Jiantian Pavilion Master is annoyingly clever to the point of disgust..."
