Chapter 600: Chapter 244 Spear Fight Technique

Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique is the most ancient of firearm martial studies.

"Kalashnikov" refers to Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov. This person was a firearm designer from Red Russia, and his most famous work is the renowned AK series.

"Lightweight" and "rugged" are adjectives tailored for the AK series. The structure of these firearms is very simple, and their performance is incredibly stable, requiring very low maintenance.

After officially being put into service, the AK series quickly armed a large number of former Red Alliance troops. And due to the political situation of the last century, this kind of firearm also flowed into many countries as some sort of "support".

The Federation had once fought a local war with Nanyue during that era. The firearms used by the Federation back then were also a classic model, with various performances on par with the AK47. However, the harsh climate of Nanyue’s rainforests caused no end of trouble for the Federation troops. Their firearms could easily jam in such a damp and hot environment. In contrast, Nanyue’s guerrilla teams were able to hide their AKs in places that the Federation soldiers could hardly imagine.

There were even rumors that some Federation soldiers saw a farmer near the field, carrying a broken farming tool, and didn’t take notice. But when the "farmer" opened fire, they were astonished to find that what he held in his hand wasn’t a broken farm tool, but an AK with a wooden stock that had rotted away.

Even among the Federation soldiers, there was an inside joke, "Question: What is the standard procedure when your assault rifle jams on the battlefield? Answer: Pick up an AK dropped by the enemy."

Back then, the Martial Ancestor also hoped that this kind of martial studies of firearms could, just like the AK series, conquer various environments and deal with all sorts of issues in the simplest and most stable way possible.

"Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique" is a brand new form of martial arts. Natural Person’s combat fighting skills did not include "firearms", and even soldiers did not need to consider "using guns for close-range combat fighting". The human body is very fragile, and bullets are very cheap, so even some... what today’s Martial Artists see as rather "basic" spear fighting skills were enough to kill an enemy.

The only Old Era fighting skills that could serve as a reference for spear fighting were a small part of police combat techniques about "protecting firearms from being snatched by criminals during close-range conflicts". Everything else needed to be redesigned.

The initial expected scenario for the Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique was "to unexpectedly encounter a small enemy force while quickly moving around and to annihilate this force while maintaining mobility".

Heroes needed to carry out assassinations on targets as solitary fighters. And during retreat, they would often face encirclement by numerous forces.

A Hero’s solitary strength was indeed much greater than that of an army, but this is a world where physics is very "rigid", and all martial arts fear "numbers".

Heroes must ensure extremely high mobility and continue to eliminate enemies while on the move.

If they were even slightly impeded by defenses, Heroes could be in mortal danger.

But even the most powerful Heroes could not avoid occasionally running into a small group of enemies on the battlefield.

Under such circumstances, the distance between the parties would often be reduced to several tens of meters.

For Heroes, the only solution was to move while using firearms to eliminate all these small enemy groups.

This was the original application scenario for the spear fighting technique.

The original spear fighting technique also had very little of "standing fixed in one place and attacking moving enemies". In Xiang Shan’s view, such an application scenario was more likely to be "Strong Bully Weak" rather than "Weak Strike Strong".

Xiang Shan, although reluctant to use firearms martial arts for the reason that they "easily injure bystanders," would resort to them when absolutely necessary.

And as the earliest form of firearm martial arts, the Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique had naturally been used by the Martial Ancestor for an extensive period.

The version Xiang Shan had was downloaded from the link given to him by Zero—from that hundred-year-old martial studies blockchain. He even downloaded different branches from various streams within.

The Black Hand Master didn’t have much to say about this martial arts technique. The Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique had been developed over many years, and its various weaknesses had been filled in by successive Martial Artists.

Besides, the Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique indeed had the least restrictions of all firearm martial arts.

Although the intended weapon for its use was the "assault rifle," it could also accommodate the "light machine gun," "automatic rifle," "submachine gun," and even "grenade rifle" and "pistol," only requiring variations in movements, some changes in strategy sets, but the core strategies remained constant.

As generations evolved, firearms with lower recoil like the "electromagnetic rifle" were also incorporated into this martial arts.

The only thing that had changed was the strategy set regarding "dodging."

In the Old Era, the power of firearms was still quite limited, and things like vegetation and concrete could serve as cover, somewhat protecting oneself. But now, the power of firearms had surpassed the resistance of common materials, so what once could act as "shields" can now only serve to "block the line of sight."

This is a point worth noting.

If one must say, this Spear Fight Technique lacks content about "ultra-long-distance sniping" and "buckshot."

"Of course, buckshot is merely a ’finishing touch.’ Its application range is too narrow, confined to ’destroying the Prosthetic Eye,’ ’breaking the stance,’ and ’intercepting Micro Missiles,’" said the Black Hand Master seriously. "This is not a crucial category. Owing to the low mass of individual pellets, the momentum they carry is too weak, so buckshot cannot penetrate the Gang Qi defense. This, too, is a significant shortcoming. But having a shot in the elbow or wrist for use only in a pinch can be the icing on the cake."

"As for the technique of sniping, I do have one..."

The Black Hand Master copied a version of his Martial Arts "Dark Gun Technique," along with some of his Experience Accumulation, and handed it to Xiang Shan.

Xiang Shan didn’t refuse it.

With that, excluding the Kalashnikov-style Spear Fight Technique, he had three well-known firearms martial arts techniques in hand.

The first was from Gleayard’s Tiger’s Astonishing Spear Technique. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, and in fact, it had been completed only with the help of the Drone Formation from the Eighth Martial God that had been left behind; there weren’t many highlights to it.

The other was recently acquired from Heaven Hero of the Green Forest. Xiang Shan had only seized this technique a few days ago, spending most of those days on the retreat and hadn’t had time to carefully study it. However, given that Heaven Hero Star had reached the rank of Tiger List Heavenly Gang, this technique was not to be underestimated.

And the "Dark Gun Technique" given by the Black Hand Master, although not comprehensive, was specifically to make up for Xiang Shan’s shortcomings and was of great help to him.

With the assistance of Cain and the Black Hand Master, Xiang Shan slightly modified the upgrade plan for his Prosthetic Body.
