Chapter 311 - 311: I’ve found it!
Hearing Alex's words, Zeka suddenly felt like he was facing some kind of pervert.
He pouted, his face tinged with a trace of fear. "Damn it! I… I don't like men."
Alex: "…"
"You…" Alex gritted his teeth, so furious that his face turned bright red. "Are you messing with me? I don't like men either."
"What the hell are you thinking? What I meant was… I'm going to torture you for information."
"And besides, you escaped last time, which pissed me off. I want to vent my anger on you."
"Ah!" Zeka let out a long sigh of relief. "That's good, I thought you wanted to do that to me."
Alex: "Damn it! You… Fine, do you want me to drag you back, or will you come willingly?"
"Neither." Zeka sneered. "Earlier, I was afraid of you because I hadn't recovered my stamina yet. Now that I've recovered, you're not my match."
"Hahaha…" Alex scoffed. "You think you're the only one who's grown stronger?"
Whoosh!
Alex didn't waste any more words. His body turned into a gust of wind, hurtling straight toward Zeka.
"Damn it!" Zeka was startled by Alex's speed.
That speed… it was insane, too fast—so fast his eyes couldn't keep up.
All he could see was the snow beneath Alex's feet exploding upward under some immense force.
BAM!
"Huk!" Zeka felt like his stomach had just been smashed by a wooden stake, his insides on the verge of rupturing.
He flew backward, crashed into the cliff wall, then tumbled down into the snow.
The snow on the mountainside fell and buried him.
Alex suddenly frowned and immediately lunged toward the spot where Zeka had fallen.
"Damn it!" Alex shouted when he saw there was nothing there, only a pile of snow.
"You bastard! You think you can escape me?" Alex roared, his voice echoing through the air. "I'll find you!"
In the distance, Zeka burst out from under the snow, feeling a bit pleased with himself.
"Hahahaha… Lucky I set up a secret escape tunnel here when I first arrived. Otherwise, I'd be in big trouble."
"Shit! But why the hell is that bastard so strong?"
"Is he really a Lord?"
Zeka shook his head, not wanting to dwell on it any longer, and hurriedly ran off into the distance.
…
Caleb, seeing Austin sitting on the ground, let out a sigh. "I actually thought you were going to win, you know."
Austin gave a sheepish grin. "How was I supposed to know that bastard would be so weird?"
"The arm of that bastard, along with that Orc King, was just too strong. There's no way I could take on both of them at the same time."
Caleb shrugged. "Well, then maybe you shouldn't have been so arrogant."
"If you ever feel you can't handle it, you could always ask me for help."
"In the end, you had to make the Master come and save you. Don't you feel any shame?"
Austin let out a long sigh. "Damn it! Of course I'm ashamed, but it's all because that bastard's arm was just too freaky."
"All right!" Caleb sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Let's head to the battle zone. If the Evil God has already escaped, we should secure a good position—otherwise…"
Suddenly, a System notification appeared, cutting off Caleb's words.
🔔 [Event: Resource Contention will begin in 16 hours. Please proceed to the battle zone if you wish to participate in this event.]
"Ah! The event's about to start?" Caleb frowned as he read the System notification.
"Heh?! You got a System notification? Why didn't I get one?" Austin asked, puzzled.
Hearing this, Caleb looked at Austin and said, "Maybe… ever since you accepted the Master's power, you're no longer a Lord."
"Is that so?" Austin didn't look too disappointed, just a bit surprised before nodding lightly.
"You're not upset?" Caleb asked, frowning.
Austin shrugged with indifference. "Why should I be?"
"If I were still a Lord, would I be this strong now?"
Caleb nodded lightly. "You're right. Sometimes, I really am jealous of you."
"Hahahaha… Don't worry, I think the Master will surely grant you even more new power soon enough," Austin said, trying to reassure him.
"All right, let's head over to the event area." Caleb sighed.
…
"Is this… a corpse?"
Back to Noan.
He was now in a different part of the canyon.
Before him lay a strange area. All around were statues that looked like people, but had been turned to stone, frozen in all kinds of postures.
But all of them wore the same expression—fear, and the instinct to run.
Of course, they could not escape. All of them had become stone statues. Some statues were now covered in moss, wrapped with vines and all kinds of fungi.
Noan didn't dare go near, nor did he dare use his magic energy to sense what was there.
He was afraid there might be a truly terrifying existence among them. If he woke it up, he'd be in grave danger.
After all, that Mutated Assassin Bee from earlier had already been a lesson for him.
Noan frowned, glancing around, then retreated backward.
When he felt he was far enough away, he created a fireball and threw it toward the cluster of stone statues.
Whoosh!
The blue-green fireball zipped through the air, lighting up everywhere it passed.
BAM!
A loud explosion rang out as one of the statues was blasted apart. But the fire didn't spread—it concentrated solely on that statue.

Noan: "…"
"What the…?" Noan didn't even know what to say as three System notifications popped up one after another in front of him.
Even though the quest notification made him excited, this kind of message was the last thing he wanted to see.
What the hell is this?
What are Rage Points supposed to be?
And… do I really have to collect 1,000 Rage Points?
Noan held his forehead, sighing. The Mutated Assassin Bee was already too strong for him to handle, and now there would be a Bee Queen and a Lord of Petrifying Mushrooms.
What on earth is going on here?
Just from the names, it was obvious how powerful those two entities would be. If he had to fight them, his chances of winning were close to zero.
Noan frowned and asked, "System, why didn't you notify me about the quest sooner?"
The System did not answer; all Noan could do was sigh.
Noan looked at the statue that had just been incinerated by his flames and noticed a giant bee larva, about the size of a newborn baby.
It writhed in Noan's fire for quite a while before finally dying, and from its mouth spurted a yellow liquid that gave off an incredibly fragrant aroma.
Noan didn't act rashly; he simply sat still, waiting to see if anything would happen.
Five minutes…
Ten minutes…
Fifteen minutes…
Fifteen minutes had passed and nothing had happened. Noan finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He glanced at the yellow liquid the larva had spat out, pondering for a moment.
Then, with a wave of his hand, he activated his spatial manipulation ability.
The yellow liquid floated up into the air, then compressed itself into a perfect sphere.
Without pausing, Noan immediately flew back toward the cave.
Seeing Khorvath still sitting there, taking notes on something, he walked over to her.
"Khorvath, do you know what this is?"
Khorvath was a bit surprised to hear Noan's voice, but when she saw the yellow sphere he brought, she was even more astonished.
"That medicinal scent is really strong, Master. Where did you get this?" Khorvath asked.
"Ah! Assassin Bee Larva Extract!" Suddenly, Elgar rushed out of the stone cave, taking a deep breath as if trying to soak up the fragrance from the substance Noan had brought.
He hurried over to Noan, eyes shining as he stared at the orb: "Larva extract from the Bee, that's definitely it! Hahahaha… at last, I've found it!"
