Chapter 599 - 599 595 Differences Between Civilizations
Chapter 599: Chapter 595: Differences Between Civilizations Chapter 599: Chapter 595: Differences Between Civilizations The total number of creatures under Muria’s command participating in this void conquest was estimated to be approximately eight hundred thousand, a seemingly staggering number. However, in terms of extraplanar colonization, this number was rather meager. Nonetheless, Muria was unbothered. He was taking the path of elites, unlike the Dragon Princess.
As a princess of the Human Empire (at least nominally), Felicia was expected to have an astonishingly large Void Legion under her command, numbering in the millions, even tens of millions. However, most of them would likely be cannon fodder, no more than bronze or silver troops.
“I would like to know, how long will it take to construct the fleet I require?” Muria asked, his eagerness for the upcoming war evident, “I need to determine the start of this war.”
“The order has been placed, and the seventh to fifteenth void shipyards of the empire have already begun constructing the warships you require. It is expected to be completed within one year.”
“A year, that’s not too long.” Muria slightly frowned, then relaxed. Some things couldn’t be rushed, he had to wait for this time. Besides, for him as an eternal life being, a year really wasn’t much.
“I will head back first, to gather my storm giant legion in preparation.” Muria stood up, intending to return to Xena Pus. His mission to retrieve the Giant Dragon had been accomplished, but now he had a duel to prepare for.
“Hm!” Gladys stood, her gaze followed Muria’s departure. His existence would become widely known among the noble aristocrats of the Empire due to this upcoming duel with the Dragon Princess, and she could no longer conceal it.
The nine void shipyards were operating at full capacity, a spectacle that could not be concealed. Her siblings and the great nobles of the Empire were not blind or deaf; they would eventually become aware of Muria’s existence.
However, as the first princess to have contact with Muria, she naturally had the advantage. Having the better access to him was of benefit. However, she would inevitably have to compete with her siblings in the future, this was unavoidable.
…
“Lin, what does my third eldest brother say?” The Dragon Princess was surveying the massive semi-plane she had named the ‘Dragon Realm’. She was observing the numerous dragon lineages who had signed contracts with her. She was planning to awaken all the sleeping dragons to go full throttle in the upcoming war.
“The third prince is willing to transfer his Third Dragon Man Army to you, but he required that you do not lend your support to any other royal other than him.”
“The Third Dragon Man Army?” Felicia wrinkled her nose, her face showing clear dissatisfaction, “I remember it is a ragtag force of mixed breeds, is he trying to fob me off with this kind of force? Furthermore, he has such an absurd condition; at the very least he should offer his elite First Dragon Man Army.”
“Your Highness, the First Dragon Man Army is the fundamental force of the third prince. If he lets it go, it would be equivalent to giving up everything.”
“Alright! I understand, we will go with the third, it’s barely adequate. What about my older sister? What did she give me? I am her beloved little sister, I am now being bullied so horribly by a scoundrel, doesn’t she have anything to say?” When Felicia got to this point, her expression was calm until she mentioned Muria, only then did anger appear on her face. This was the greatest humiliation she had suffered in her life.
Being repeatedly hit on the head and then rolling painfully in his palm, even her acclaimed strongest defense, the blue diamond dragon scale, was completely ineffective. Furthermore, she was threatened with Lin and was coerced into submission. He was an absolute ruffian.
She didn’t have any malicious intentions, merely wanted to sign a mutual alliance, which would be beneficial for both parties. But he refused, his reason being that he didn’t like her.
As the most distinguished princess of the Orlando Empire, she was looked down upon. Whether it was her physical appearance, disposition, temperament, ability, influence, wealth… In which aspect was she not top-tier?
Therefore, after being incessantly humiliated by Muria, the Dragon Princess chose to turn to her brothers and sisters for comfort upon returning to her own empire. She requested legions, equipment; she had to win this duel.
“An intact Dragonhawk Knight Regiment! This is what your eldest sister gave you.”
“My eldest sister is definitely more generous, unlike my petty third brother.”
…
“Prince Muria!” Seeing Muria suddenly appear on the throne, the kneeling Storm Giant Leader, Terence, who had been facing the throne, opened his eyes. Upon seeing Muria, joy surfaced in his eyes. He genuflected, lowered his head, and laid his heavy sword in front of him.
“Hmm, ” Muria nodded, lightly tapping the armrest of the crystal throne. The magic array on it signalled his return to Xena Pus. Consequently, dozens of rainbows shot up from various cloud islands, flying towards the Central Cloud Island.
“I have an announcement to make!” When Muria saw Dragonborn Maids Mia, Ancient Green Dragon Fiona, and the ruler of Xena Pus, the Great Demon Mels among others had arrived, he cut straight to the chase, revealing all the details about his duel with the Dragon Princess…
“Invading a civilization! Conducting colonial plunder.” Hearing Muria’s words, the Abyss Refining Demon Mels’ face lit up with excitement. Invading worlds was his favorite thing, especially when it involved colonial plunder with his legion.
“Lord Muria, is it really proper to destroy an entire world’s civilization like this?” Mia voiced, her face showing signs of reluctance. For resources, were they going to destroy a civilization they had never interfaced with before? Was this really acceptable?
“I didn’t clarify, Mia.” Muria tapped his forehead, “The Locust Civilization is a colonial plunder-based civilization. Such a civilization don’t deserve our goodwill. The purpose of this war is to eradicate their resistance, not to destroy their societal structure or annihilate their race.”
The Ten Great Empires, or all the powers of Erathia World that had the ability to conduct Void Colonization, would assess the native force of a valuable world they discovered. If the civilization living there was similar to an Elf culture, which valued peace, then they would approach amicably, exchange knowledge, and excavate resources on a win-win basis.
However, if the civilization was categorically invasive, or a purely racial civilization with extreme xenophobia, or a peaceful civilization that destroys anything it sees, once determined that peaceful collaboration was impossible, a Void Colonial Legion would be sent to intervene.
If they could obtain otherworld resources through peaceful means, they should try to avoid violent conquest. This was a basic principle. Even in cases of conflicts, the colonial legions always tried to limit the impacts of destruction and killings.
