King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 571 - 571 567 The Wind Rises
Chapter 571: Chapter 567: The Wind Rises! Chapter 571: Chapter 567: The Wind Rises! “Ling, do you feel something is off?”
“I have sensed something. Princess Gladys seems a bit odd. By my calculations, she should be warmer towards you. It would serve her well to gain your support in her bid for the throne.”
“That’s not what I’m referring to.” Felicia pouted, she didn’t care about the princess’s attitude towards her. “What I meant is, when we walked in earlier did you sense an aura similar to ours?”
“I’m sorry, Princess. I didn’t feel anything,” replied the Sapphire Dragon beneath her feet, a hint of apology in its voice.
“What about you all? Did any of you sense that?” Felicia looked at the Giant Dragons surrounding her and asked with slight anticipation.
“No!” All dragons shook their heads. However, the two Golden Dragons hesitated, exchanging glances before they finally spoke:
“Princess Felicia, we feel something that suggests the presence of a creature of our kind. This feeling, however, is fleeting so that we can’t locate its exact position.”
“You felt it? Of our own kind?” This response made Princess Felicia furrow her brows. She wasn’t pleased. Her mother had told her she would meet a unique dragon. Yet, what exclusivity could be attributed to a Golden Dragon?
“It’s an ambiguous feeling. We cannot ascertain if it truly is one of our kind.”
“Really?” Upon hearing the words of her two treasured Golden Dragons, who came at a great cost, Princess Felicia of Dragons sank into deep thought. According to her mother’s words, she should naturally encounter this special dragon just by being here.
“Princess Felicia, please hold!” A voice thundered across the skies. A war chariot pulled by eight snow-white celestial horses, approached towards Felicia’s location. The chariot wheels spun, casting a soft golden thunder, radiating with an intimidating aura. A hundred Apocalypse Knights followed closely behind her.
“Gladys, aren’t you going to go after the Insect Lord?” Felicia asked with confusion. “Why are you looking for me?”
“There’s no rush. We have plenty of time for the hunt.” Gladys, controlling her chariot, approached Princess Felicia and smiled, “I have a matter to discuss with Her Highness.”
“What matter?” The Sapphire Dragon, carrying the Dragon Princess, asked in a light tone. “Why does Princess Gladys bring so many Apocalypse Knights to discuss?”
“They’re just for precaution,” Gladys explained, noticing the cautious look from the Sapphire Dragon. “I am not strong enough yet. I need these Apocalypse Knights to cope with the Insect Lord, whose whereabouts are unknown to me.”
“Tell me what negotiations you want to have with me. Let’s hear it,” the Dragon Princess curiously asked. The dragons around her felt the tension in the atmosphere and glared angrily at Gladys.
“I heard that earlier, the princess captured six Five Colored Dragons that are proficient in magic?”
“That’s correct.”
“Aren’t you curious why these six dragons are different from the rest? Why they can master magic?”
“I am not.”
“The six dragons were raised by a friend of mine. He was the one who taught them their magic skills.”
“So that’s why you invited me to this hunt?”
“Indeed.” It was pointless to lie at this time, considering they were both royalty who were almost a hundred years old. Who would be fooled by who?
“Hmph!” A look of disdain crossed Felicia’s face. “For the Seventh Princess of the Uranos Empire, is it necessary to tell such lies? I don’t know why you’re after my dragons, but I won’t hand them over.”
“The six dragons you forcibly captured were raised by my friend since they hatched. He was the one who taught them magic. It’s utterly inappropriate of you to snatch them away!”
“Nonsense. You think I didn’t investigate before capturing them? These six dragons have lived on that continent for nearly fifty years. When they were repeatedly hunted, no so-called master appeared.”
“So, you don’t believe what I’m saying?”
“Of course not. Am I close to you?” TheDragon Princess, who looked seemingly weak, spoke dominantly, “Even if what you said is true, these six dragons have been abandoned by that guy for so long. Now that I have captured them, they should belong to me. I will take better care of them.”
“Are you unwilling to let go, Your Highness? I am willing to pay the price.”
“No exchange. Since my birth, I have never abandoned any one of the Giant Dragons.” A look of pride flashed in Felicia’s face. “The person you mentioned, what gives him the right to ask me for the dragons?”
“Those dragons were raised by him, they just ended up on the subcontinent due to some accident.” Gladys lowered her eyes. It was the first time she had ever encountered such arrogance in her face.
“Then let him come and ask for them. Hmph! Why does he have you mediate? Doesn’t he have the courage to face me?”
“It seems that I was wrong. I shouldn’t have stopped him.” Gladys shook her head. “Please wait a moment, Princess. I will have the real owner come and talk to you.”
…
“You may go! Felicia wants to speak with you.”
Lying on the Scorpion Lion and lazily looking at the sky, Muria suddenly sat up straight. On the Jade Plate next to him, the ethereal image of Gladys reappeared.
“Location.” Golden thunder sparkled in Muria’s eyes. After Princess Gladys’ unsuccessful negotiation, it was his turn. If the princess who matured in a once-gilded cage was unsuccessful in negotiating, it meant this gentle approach wasn’t working.
…
“How much longer do I have to wait, Seventh Princess?” Dragon Princess asked with an indifferent look at Gladys. As her emotions fluctuated, the dragons around her roared, creating an impressive display.
“He’ll be here soon.” Gladys gripped her long spear, seething with anger. Weren’t they both princesses? Who gave her the audacity to act with such arrogance on her territory?
As Gladys finished speaking, a wind began to howl. Down below, the forest rustled, countless leaves were swept into the sky, and fearful growls echoed from the beasts.
The wind is picking up!
“Your Highness, be careful!” Underneath Felicia, the legendary Sapphire Dragon warned with concern in its eyes. It had sensed pressure from all directions.
“It’s fine.” The Dragon Princess, who also noticed the abnormalities, revealed an excited expression. She had a hunch that the dragon her mother talked about was coming. Her heart started pounding faster, her cheeks flushed, and her breaths shortened.
Suddenly, in front of her, a black-haired young man silently appeared.
