King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 540 - 540 536 The Frustrating Battle

Chapter 540: Chapter 536: The Frustrating Battle Chapter 540: Chapter 536: The Frustrating Battle “It is indeed their fault, and I apologize for them. Thank you for your kindness in letting them live.” Muria’s words left the Divine Snow Leopard without a retort, forcing it to apologize with a frigid tone that bore no sincerity.

“However, you cannot advance any further.” As a descendant of a deity, it understood the tremendous influence the Titans held over the giants. Once this fellow before it arrived at the Frost Giant Tribe, its father’s painstakingly cultivated foundation of faith amongst the Frost Giants built over tens of thousands of years would crumble.

“Oh.” Muria nodded, then naturally countered, “What if I insist on moving forward? Are you then poised to battle me? If that’s the case, don’t hesitate, let’s begin.”

A blazing fire of battle intent ignited in Muria’s eyes. Since departing the Titan Islands, it had been a long while since he had encountered a worthy foe. The endless battles on the Senapus Subcontinent were nothing more than shameless adversaries exploiting their advantage in power level to oppress him. This situation only worsened when the gods descended in their avatars.

“Titan, since you insist on battling, let’s do it!” The Divine Snow Leopard, seeing Muria’s challenge, didn’t hesitate for long before accepting it. As a divine descendant, it held its own pride; it wasn’t afraid to confront the legendary Titan. After all, there was negligible difference between it, a first-generation Divine Descendant, and the Titan. Some deities, who were willing to make big sacrifices, did not even beget descendants. Instead, they directly spawned gods.

“It’s not that I’m particularly keen on battling, but rather, you’re blocking my path.” Muria, looking at the leopard before him which seemed even larger in size, revealed a delighted grin. Its eyes were a pale gold, indicating the presence of divinity in its body. It had indeed inherited a portion of its father’s power.

Divine descendants also come in varying tiers. The highest-ranking ones need not be mentioned; they were born as deities, presiding over all creatures. The next tier was similar to the being he currently faced, possessing a fragment of a deity’s divinity and a fraction of its power. Among mortals, their chances of becoming a deity were the highest.

The worst tier of divine descendants resulted from a deity descending and possessing the body of a mortal, either to satisfy certain desires or merely for amusement. They were born to ordinary members of the opposite sex and these could hardly be considered divine descendants. They didn’t receive any divine powers; their inherent potential was simply superior compared to their counterparts, due to the influence of divine power. However, they couldn’t be compared with divine descendants possessing true divinity.

With a roar, the falling snow abruptly came to a standstill, as though time had frozen. The snowflakes began to crystallize into shards of ice that rapidly expanded and fused together, forming numerous ice cones. These were all launched mercilessly towards Muria.

“As expected of the descendent of the Deity of Ice and Snow, impressive control over ice. However, do you think these attacks are effective?” Muria’s body ignited with the Golden Dragon Flame, radiating a blistering heat. In an instant, snowflakes and icicles nearing Muria began to melt. The ice cones that touched the Dragon Flames didn’t even get the chance to thaw; they instantly vaporized.

But no sooner had Muria’s words left his mouth than he sensed an anomaly. The blizzard here had intensified, and the ice cones assaulting him grew bigger. By the end, it was as if mini ice-mountains were crashing towards him, empowered by a unique force, rendering them as tough as high-grade steel.

“Environmental suppression, huh.” Muria’s body erupted with Golden Thunder, and a hurricane howled forth, preemptively shattering those mini ice-mountains. He sensed suppression from the external environment, as though the world had grown unfriendly towards him.

This was a world of ice and snow; Muria was ill-suited for it. His power didn’t gain any augmentation, but suffered some level of suppression. Now, under the control of this Divine Snow Leopard before him, this suppression had intensified tenfold.

“A boring contest of power!” A look of disdain crossed Muria’s face, and his body sprung into motion. His massive frame didn’t slow him down. On the contrary, the larger his body, the stronger and quicker he became. He wasn’t constrained or hindered by the atmosphere.

With a few strides, Muria arrived before the Divine Snow Leopard. His hand folded into a fist, around which formed a violent storm. The epicenter of this storm was Muria–or more precisely, his fist. Dense Golden Thunder coiled around his fist, resulting in a dazzling and blinding radiance.

Boom! Without much windup, Muria threw a punch at the Divine Snow Leopard before him. Silence flooded the space between heaven and earth when his fist struck. It seemed as if all sound faded away, all colors vanished, leaving only black and white, and the glistening golden fist imbued with Thunder that Muria had thrown.

Rumble! Under the might of this punch, the sky and earth quaked. In the direction where Muria threw his punch, fierce winds tore apart the dark clouds in the sky, leaving behind an air trail formed by his punch. Similarly, the frosted earth revealed a seemingly infinite trench that extended towards the horizon. Wherever his punch passed, glaciers and mountains alike shattered. Nothing seemed capable of withstanding his punch.

Even Muria’s target, the Divine Snow Leopard, turned into shards of ice under his punch. Yet, there was no trace of victory’s joy on Muria’s face after the fight. Instead, he wore a stern expression, growing more solemn.

“I underestimated you.” Muria surveyed his surroundings. He had not even touched the Snow Leopard; his spiritual sense had been deceived. His attack had simply hit an ordinary ice avatar.

Therefore, the force of his punch had caused such terrifying destruction around him. This punch was supposed to land on a divine descendant, but Muria missed, causing the dark clouds in half of the sky to shatter simultaneously, resulting in a bizarre phenomenon where one side of the sky was clear while the other was filled with frost and snow.

“You are much stronger than I expected. You are indeed a Titan, having such power just after ascending to the legendary rank.” A voice filled with astonishment came from all around, making it impossible for Muria to determine its origin.

“Are you afraid to fight me up close?” Muria taunted.

“That’s what you Titans excel at, my relative weakness. I am better at using frost and snow for attacks, so I won’t engage in close combat with you.”

With the Snow Leopard’s words, the dark clouds that had been dispersed by Muria’s punch began to gather again. The blizzard once again covered the land, and everything was full of weapons formed from frost, crashing towards Muria, even attacks sprouted from the ground beneath his feet.

“Coward!” Scorching dragon flames spread from Muria, driving away the dark clouds and melting thousands of meters around him, turning frost and ice glaciers into water, even the frozen ground beneath his feet had signs of thawing.

“No use, even if your foundation is strong, how long can you hold? Is it three days or ten, or even a month? This is my home ground, I can use a small part of my energy to suppress you by manipulating the environment. If you compete with me in terms of stamina, you are doomed to fail. Titan, back off, as long as you avoid this direction, no matter what you want to do, I will not stop you, nor will I hold you accountable for what you’ve done.”

“I hate this kind of fighting.” Muria retracted the peaceful domain created by the dragon flames not long after, as the consumption was too great. This cowardly leopard was controlling the glaciers to hit him, which was simply outrageous.

“Do not continue forward, Titan.” Seeing Muria continue towards the Frost Giant Tribe, which worships its father, against its attacks, the Snow Leopard felt a toothache. The defense of this Titan was too strong; its attacks couldn’t hurt him, he could only consume his energy. Thinking about defeating him at this moment was like a pipe dream.

“Then you come out and fight me fairly. As long as you defeat me, I will leave without a word.” Muria continued to stride forward persistently. Not only was the Snow Leopard, which had turned into a snowstorm, annoyed, Muria felt equally upset.

He initially thought he could have a good fight with a divine descendant, but instead, the Snow Leopard refused to fight him and used its environmental advantage to suppress him, trying to force him to retreat. But would Muria give in to his wish just like this?

“How stubborn!” A blizzard carrying frost and snow converged in front of Muria, forming a well-shaped Frost Giant. This Frost Giant was nearly as tall as Muria, standing at around 120 meters.

“The God of the Snow Leopard, Sinbad, and the child of the Frost Giant! Is this your Frost Giant form?” Muria looked at the rare opponent in front of him with fighting spirit, “Finally willing to come out, why don’t you continue to hide?”

“Titan, don’t be too arrogant, I just wanted to solve you with the least cost. Defeating you is not something difficult for me, it’s just a matter of how much energy I consume.”

“Ha! Solve me? With your measly inferior divine power, how much power could your father have given you?” A cold smile appeared on Muria’s face. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, so the divine descendant on the other side could clearly see his expression, “Everyone can talk big, prove it with your fists! Otherwise, all you’ll get is my ridicule.”

“As you wish, arrogant Titan.” The contempt for his father in Muria’s words enraged the Divine Descendant. Armor and a battle axe forged from ice and frost appeared on him, then he instantly appeared in front of Muria, raised his frost battle axe, and slashed at Muria.

“Don’t you even have a decent weapon? Is that how your father treats you?” To the disbelief of the Leopard Descendant, Muria’s left hand, wrapped in Saintly Imperial Abyss and entwined with Star Cloud Chains, grabbed his frost battle axe, and a force of inhibition made his body freeze for a moment.

And in this moment, Muria’s right hand, holding a war lance inscribed with mysterious ancient runes, pierced his body…
