Chapter 539 - 539 535 Divine Descendant
Chapter 539: Chapter 535: Divine Descendant Chapter 539: Chapter 535: Divine Descendant “You mean this Beast God had a child with a female Frost Giant!” Muria licked her lips, picturing a colossal Snow Leopard and a hulking female Frost Giant, not much different from a man… What a beautiful image, Muria shook her head, deciding not to dwell on it further.
“This should be considered a Divine Descendant.”
“Yes, it seems Sinbad spent a great deal of energy to bring this offspring into the world. During that time, I never saw him or his Avatar leave the Divine Kingdom.”
“A Divine Descendant, he really spared no efforts!” Muria rubbed her chin. As beings comparable to Epics, deities under normal circumstances cannot produce offspring. Their life ranks are already the highest ones, eternal life is their standard as deities, and they can live indefinitely without any external interference.
But nothing is absolute, deities and Epics, if they are willing, there’s almost nothing they cannot achieve in this world, including the issue of offspring that troubles the Legends.
Epics and deities, as long as they are willing to pay the price of a permanent loss of some of their strength, they can procreate once again. However, the vast majority of deities and Epics would not do so, as their strength is hard-won and, having achieved eternal life, offspring seem to lose their significance.
However, there are exceptions, sometimes, for a variety of reasons, deities would mate with each other. After all, even deities have emotions and desires.
But because of their life ranks and their tremendous power, they have given birth to a group of monstrosities that should not exist in the world – God’s Aberrations. Of course, this has nothing to do with Muria under normal circumstances. She would not encounter these beings that even deities are wary and disgusted with.
The true nature of deities is an intangible existence. Their form and shape depend on their personal perception. The reason why human deities look human is that they were originally humans. If they wish, they can take the form of wild beasts or even plants; everything depends on their self-perception.
Therefore, a deity can have various forms. Most images are compromises made for the sake of faith, appearing as the form most desired by their believers.
This is why offspring, born from the union of two deities due to coincidence, can take any form. For instance, the union of two human deities could produce a tri-headed, six-armed monstrosity.
Regardless of what the offspring look like, as long as they can inherit a part of the power from their parents and have clear divine will, they can claim the title of Divine Descendant. Of course, the physical appearance of normal Divine Descendants is usually similar to the original form of their parents before they became deities or their most commonly used forms and doesn’t seem particularly strange.
“This is news I heard three hundred years ago, but up until now, I still don’t dare fully confirm the existence of this Divine Descendant because I’ve never seen him.”
“After so long, you still can’t confirm whether a Divine Descendant exists?” Muria looked at the Cold Crow God with a contemptuous gaze. It took three hundred years, and such important intelligence was not confirmed. A Divine Descendant’s existence could significantly impact powers below the level of an empire.
“You can’t blame me. It seems that Isriel has no intention of raising this unknown existence as a leader. Instead, he views him as a…um, weapon. Only when the Frost Giant Tribe, who worships him, encounters an unsolvable problem, the Divine Descendant is awakened to solve it.”
“So, all the creatures that have seen this Divine Descendant are dead, therefore you can’t confirm his existence?” Muria looked at the large white crow before her, with no intentions of petting it. Its feathers were like cold iron, looking cold and tough, the polar opposite of the Wolf God’s fur.
“Exactly!”
“What’s the source of your information?”
“I made the inference after collecting some information.”
“So, you’re saying this is your guess.”
“It’s an inference made based on facts, not reckless speculation.” The Cold Crow God Isriel corrected, “Of course, there’s no conclusive evidence to my guess. You can choose to ignore it.”
“This is very helpful, at least it will keep me on high alert.” Muria smiled, a glimmer of anticipation in her eyes, hoping that the Beast God had indeed put forth considerable effort to bring a Divine Descendant into the world. This could be the only half-god group in Erathia world that might be evenly matched with a Titan before ascending to Epic status.
…
“Titan, stop right there. You cannot continue to move forward.”
Alone she pushed onward. Even knowing that a Divine Descendant, who might have been born hundreds of years ago, was likely waiting for her, Muria had no fear. This was her confidence in her own power.
However, even before she neared the splinter tribe of the Snow Leopard Tribe, Muria encountered something unexpected. A pack of white-furred, muscular snow leopards with seemingly enormous strength blocked her path.
“Beat it!”
Without intending to stop, Muria uttered a quick command. Visible sonic waves spread from her mouth. The short, nearby ice mountains collapsed instantly, turning into fragments of ice on the ground. As for the road-blocking snow leopards, the strongest among them merely Gold Rank, collapsed halfway, blood pouring from their mouths, staining the glacier red.
“Is this how all of you Titans behave? Attacking without a word, careless of right or wrong.” Space rippled, a massive snow leopard, accompanied by four of its same kind with unexpected Soul Intent level strength, appeared, blocking Muria’s path.
“A group of Gold Ranked creatures, commanding a Titan of legend to cease her steps – such senseless actions. You should be praising my mercy for them being alive, instead of accusing me.” Muria stopped walking, staring at the monstrous snow leopard before her, which was larger than any reason would allow. Normal Snow Leopards, once matured, have a size not exceeding ten meters at most. But how big is this snow leopard in front of her? Excluding its tail, and just by Muria’s initial visual estimation, this leopard’s size was no less than a hundred meters.
The standard Snow Leopard could not possibly have this size, even by breaking free from their bloodline shackles and becoming a legend. Only interference from a power above legends could create such a contradiction to the laws of nature.
“This Crow, you must’ve known all along, yet you chose to be so vague.” Muria, looking at the giant snow leopard in front of her, muttered to herself.
