King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 529 - 529 525 Exhausting the Last Drop of Blood
Chapter 529: Chapter 525: Exhausting the Last Drop of Blood Chapter 529: Chapter 525: Exhausting the Last Drop of Blood It was a towering figure surrounded by Golden Thunder and a translucent hurricane. Although they had never seen it before, the ancient memories within their bloodline compelled them to instinctively identify this being’s race.
“Titan!”
The resounding cries echoed across the open mine. The Frost Giants, enslaved by Clodia as miners, turned toward Muria, kneeling more devoutly than they would before a deity, captivated by the throbbing call of their blood. Every giant had heard the legend of the Titans.
“This is within MY best assumptions, and the most likely scenario,” a gentle voice whispered in Muria’s ear. It was from the Legendary White Dragon, commenting on the shocking scene before them.
She was not surprised; she’d seen many such scenes on the Titan Islands. The only difference was that instead of her, the Frost Giants were now bowing to Muria.
“In coincidence, this situation also falls under my expectations.” Muria took a deep breath, “I think I’ve guessed what you want me to do?”
“Hmm!” White Dragon Clodia let out an ambiguous grunt, “Tell me.”
“As far as I know, on this subcontinent, the Frost Giants and the White Dragons are natural enemies.” Muria calmly overlooked the thousands of Frost Giants who were now bowing to him, his heart was calm. He was accustomed to such a scene.
“Since you arrived on this continent, you must have had your fair share of conflicts with the Frost Giants! Now, I’m guessing you want me to conquer these Frost Giant tribes as a Titan for you, the ones who are your enemies?”
“Exactly. Subduing a few large Frost Giant tribes should be of considerable help to your ultimate goal of becoming the Epic Titan.”
“In that case, release these Frost Giants!”
“This is my private property, what’s in it for me if I give them to you?” An already prepared Clodia inquired.
“I’m helping you solve your troubles, and you’re really asking me this?”
“Without these Frost Giants mining for me, who will? Without their mined resources, there will be problems in the weapon supply chain of my army.”
“After having conquered four major duchies, you should stop complaining about lack of manpower.”
“Humans are too frail, and compared to Frost Giants, their work efficiency is too low. Besides, would you really want me to use humans as miners? You are a compassionate Golden Dragon.”
“The Gold Dragon Clan isn’t guardian of the human race. Help from the golden dragon depends on the character of the person, not every tom, dick, and harry deserves it. Golden Dragons are not saints.” Muria rolled his eyes,” Release these Frost Giants and I will give you a batch of engineering golems specifically designed for mining.”
“Engineering Golems?”
“It’s a product of one of the industries I own, specially supplied to the Colonial Legions of the Uranos Empire.”
“One of the products? You possess the technology to manufacture golems in bulk?” White Dragon Clodia keenly caught onto the key point, “Give me this technology and I will give you all of my 15,000 Frost Giant slaves.”
“Not enough, add more.” Muria responded without hesitation.
“I am your minion, I fight and bleed for you on the Depluson Subcontinent, and still you refuse to provide me with technical support?”
“Minion? Who’s minion asks for compensation from their master?” Muria sneered.
“We are the Dragon Race, naturally different from other creatures.” Clodia confidently retorted, “Muria, give me the assembly line technology for the golems.”
“I can’t stand you.” To Muria, the usually aloof White Dragon suddenly acting coy took him by surprise.
“Give it to me!”
“Alright, alright, settle down. I’ll give it to you.” A smile played at the corners of Muria’s lips, his mood becoming very cheerful. Despite Clodia appearing to be acting coy, she was, in fact, expressing her stance and attitude toward him.
“Excellent, I will take the White Dragon with me now, come find me in Frost City after you’ve set these Frost Giants free.” Without drawing any attention from the Frost Giants, Clodia restored her cold demeanor and left with the White Dragon who was in charge of supervision.
The conversation between Muria and White Dragon Clodia only took a few breaths. The Frost Giants below realized nothing unusual, their heads were rigidly buried in the frozen soil.
After Clodia left, Muria stared at the Frost Giants kneeling over the mine below, slightly pondering for a moment. He then drew out the Seven Sins Blade and slashed downward at the air. There was no blade flash tearing hundreds or even thousands of meters across, only dense sounds of shattering metal filled the air.
“You are, free now!” Muria declared, his voice grand and thunderous, full of dignity, his strike broke the shackles on the feet of 3,600 Frost Giants, “Get up, all of you!”
Surprise, shock, nervousness, uneasiness… Various emotions shone in the eyes of the Frost Giants, who were no longer numb. Their lives, which they thought held no future hope, changed drastically because of the sudden appearance of this Titan. They incredulously looked at the shattered shackles at their feet, finding the scene completely surreal.
Gradually, the Frost Giants, garbed in worn beastskin, of rugged and savage appearance, all stood up. They looked at each other with amazement, then simultaneously looked up at Muria floating mid-air, their eyes filled with anticipation.
Soon, Muria responded to their anticipation, submitting a proposal these Frost Giants would not dare to dream of, “Would you, follow me and fight for me?”
The open mine quickly fell into silence, only the howling chilly winds could be heard. Almost all of the Frost Giants stared at Muria in disbelief, they couldn’t trust their ears. A legendary Titan was actually asking them whether they were willing to follow and wasn’t rejecting them due to their frailty and crudeness.
“Great Titan, I’m willing to fight for you, until I shed my last drop of blood,” A particularly astute Frost Giant knelt on one knee and shouted with all his might.
With one Frost Giant taking the lead, the others immediately fell in line. One after another, they knelt down and pledged their loyalty as powerfully as they could.
In an instant, under this sky, only the pledges of loyalty from the Frost Giants echoed far and wide. The sound was so earth-shattering that even the threatening dark clouds in the sky seemed to dissolve, revealing the white sky.
“Giants are so straightforward.” Looking down at the Frost Giants who would gladly give their lives in his service, Muria genuinely admired them in his heart. Compared to humans, neither Dragons nor Giants are as cunning.
In fact, even Devils who have signed contracts are trustworthy; they only manipulate the terms of the agreement. Humans, on the other hand, are different. After signing a contract, if they can gain enough benefits, they will think about how to break the contract and how to evade the punishment for breach of contract.
