King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 507 - 507 503 Fusion and Advancement
Chapter 507: Chapter 503: Fusion and Advancement Chapter 507: Chapter 503: Fusion and Advancement On the battlefield strewn with corpses, Muria, with the company of seven Five Colored Dragons and several hundred Cloud Giants, searched for the remaining living creatures. After the Fox Emperor appeared, he annihilated all of the existing avatars of the deity with an overwhelming force. Then, he defeated a legendary ambush with an absolute advantage. After that, it was all quiet.
The remaining legends were petrified by the power of the Fox Emperor, and fled in panic. They completely abandoned the idea of hunting Muria. A second generation deity was not something they could afford to provoke.
Then, the scene unfolded as it is now. The Fox Emperor, who appeared to be merely taking a leisure tour, glanced at Muria a few times, and then, he formed a spatial tunnel using demon flames and left. Leaving Muria behind, without uttering a single word, as always he was aloof.
After the battle ended, Muria immediately released the Five Colored Dragons he had kept in his semi-plane and the squadron of Cloud Giants who were originally stationed there, directing them to search the battlefield for the remnant of Broken Horn and the Abyssal Refining Demon, Mels, who may still be clinging to life.
The Balrog Flame Demon Broken Horn was dead. A Balrog Flame Demon who used self-destruction could not possibly be alive, unless it was a Lord of the Abyss and was one of the extraordinary kind. In the case, the Abyss wouldn’t mind spending some of its origin to resurrect him.
However, it was clear that Broken Horn, who had fought for Muria, was considered a rebellious anomaly by the Abyss. To the Abyss, a traitor was despised even more than an enemy.
Now, all Muria could do for Broken Horn was to find some fragments left by him and erect a tombstone as a psychological consolation. He could only do so much, for he lacked the ability to reverse time and revive other creatures. Even deities did not possess this ability; time was irreversible.
Parallel to finding the remnants of Broken Horn was to locate the possibly still living Abyssal Refining Demon Mels. The reason for the uncertainty was that its existence was barely perceivable by Muria, who had a master-servant contract with it. He could only feel a faint hint of presence, as if the connection could be severed at any moment, indicating that Mels was yet to die.
“Muria, found it!” After draining the blood lake that had formed from the fall of legends, Muria did not find what he wanted at the almost corpse-filled bottom of the lake. Just when he was feeling disappointed, he heard an excited shout.
“Hmm?” Muria looked at Red Dragon Cynthia, who was enthusiastically flying to him with half a skull in her hand. Ignoring her flattering expression that seemed to be asking for a reward, he took the half-broken skull from her.
“Mels, you’re still alive after all this.” Muria sensed the weak spirit attached to the skull that had a hint of life left and sighed. Now that he had found him, it was only a matter of time before he recovered.
“Heh heh, Your Majesty, I’m slightly smarter than that big guy.” Mels managed to muster a weak psychic shock as he clung to life. He had also self-destructed, but with a bit of cunning, he had preserved this strand of soul.
“What do you need to recover quickly? Souls?” Muria asked gently, holding the skull that was smaller than his palm. “How much?”
“I can’t eat. Now you can just give me the souls of ordinary creatures.” Mels let out a helpless psychic shock upon seeing the Soul Intent level Koutao Fishman’s soul in Muria’s hand.
“What a hassle!” Muria frowned, then reluctantly crushed the Soul Intent Level Koutao Fishman’s soul in his hand, and purified it from negative emotions with Dragon Flames, then fed it to Mels’ soul.
No matter what the reason was, or what he could obtain from Mels in the future, he was someone who was willing to fight to the death, even to self-destruct for his sake. Muria found him deserving of his trust, going by how he had behaved so far.
“Your majesty, you are truly powerful. That old fool is dead, and here I am in this sorry state, but you’re not affected at all. It’s no surprise that you’re the descendant of Dragon King and Titan.” Mels sincerely admired Muria, as he found that he was not only unscathed but seemed even stronger.
“I was actually planning to fight till the end, I didn’t expect my maternal grandfather left me an ace in the hole.” Muria smirked.
“…” Mels fell into silence and quietly absorbed the soul fragments that Muria fed him.
“Planning to use this as an opportunity to start over?” Muria asked suddenly.
“What?” Mels was slightly taken aback.
“Your number of Soul Intent Circles is too few, you won’t be able to go too far on the path of legends, you can start over now, I’ll provide you sacrifices to pray to Hell’s will.” Muria made a very tempting suggestion, “What do you think?”
“I’m willing.” Without any hesitation, Mels agreed immediately. There was a chance for him to ascend to a higher position, of course he would seize it, this way he could follow this big figure further.
“Hmm.” Muria nodded, As the winner of this besiegement war, he now had a plethora of high-level creature carcasses and a portion of captive souls in his hand, which were all excellent sacrifices.
Next, Muria located his current coordinates, contacted Mia and Fiona on Cloud Island, and asked them to send people to help clean up the battlefield. The bodies and weapons of all the casualties from the war were his, Muria did not intend to leave a single trace behind.
“All weapons, carcasses, blood spilled on the ground, even the soil stained with blood, dig it all up and move it to Cloud Island, and don’t let any of it go to waste.” When Muria saw the Floating Ship crew from Cloud Island, he gave an order that was so shocking that it left even the giant dragon dumbfounded.
Dig up three feet of the battlefield? So low key. After the battlefield cleanup supervised by Muria was completed, a section of the devastated battlefield stretching dozens of kilometers around was dug into a basin. This left the “clearers” from the Senapus Subcontinent, who were ready to come pick up the scraps, utterly dumbfounded.
“Not even leaving the soil behind, isn’t that a bit too much!” A Devil Sorcerer gaped at the vast basin before him and the fresh soil on the ground, indicating that the basin had just been formed not too long ago.
“At least leave something!” An Undead Mage, who was also planning to pick up the bodies, looked sad. He came all this way for nothing. He did not see a single piece of bone remnants, let alone corpses.
“Let’s disperse. The chaps who clean up the battlefield are all desperate guys. There’s nothing we can do; damn it, they didn’t even leave a single trace.”
…
“All participants in this war were at least gold-tier, everything they left behind, even a drop of blood, cannot go to waste and must be fully utilized.” Muria spoke earnestly, “Right now, I’m in the early stage of establishing forces, this is the time when resources are most scarce and the situation is most difficult, I can’t afford to be lavish.”
“Understood, I will sort and organise all your spoils of war, and then make reasonable use of them.” Mia patted her own ample bosom and promised Muria.
Just when Muria was about to nod his head in approval, an invisible and formidable power descended, crushing down on them, causing all living creatures, aside from Muria, on the hundred or so Cloud Islands to kneel down. This was the overwhelming suppression from a higher life form.
“Grandfather!” On seeing the black-haired, golden-eyed Titan appearing before him, Muria, who was also in the Titan form, bowed slightly. After the Fox Emperor appeared, the successive fading stars in the sky and two rainbows streaking across the sky tipped off Muria about something.
“Not bad!” After assessing Muria for a few breaths and then looked at all the Cloud Islands, The Wilderness Master, who had withdrawn most of his imposing manner, nodded in satisfaction, “You should have gained much insight from this battle, you should be on the verge of breaking through to legendary status!”
“Indeed.” With the enhancement of the Dragon King’s Power, Muria successively slaughtered several legends and even had the ability to briefly counter a deity’s avatar, which indeed gave him much insight.
The Wilderness Master opened his palm to reveal a golden thread that was emitting a divine light, so dazzling that it made one dizzy. “This is the divinity of the Storm Master, it contains the elemental laws of flames, storms, and thunder. Absorb and contemplate the laws in it without being affected by it. Are you interested in taking up this challenge?” asked the Wilderness Master, peering at Muria.
Seeing this thread of divinity, Muria’s breath unconsciously quickened. His body was craving to merge with it. This was one of the keys to eternal life, and no mortal could resist its temptation.
“Yes.” After a moment of contemplation, Muria nodded in agreement. The process of merging the divinity, comprehending the laws while simultaneously resisting its impacts was a test of his willpower.
