Chapter 474 - 474 470 Evil Gods Paradise
Chapter 474: Chapter 470: Evil God’s Paradise Chapter 474: Chapter 470: Evil God’s Paradise The blood of the Koutao Fishmen stained the entire sea area red, and countless bloodthirsty sea beasts, drawn by the scent of blood, came from all directions to devour the fishmen’s carcasses, participating in a sumptuous feast that wasn’t guaranteed even once over a prolonged period at sea.
“Brother Muria, is it okay for you to destroy god idols so indiscriminately?” Remilia, standing amid the ruins of the temple, asked with a somewhat anxious expression on her face.
“It’s fine.” Muria looked around. Under his feet, an idol exceeding six meters in height had toppled over. The idol was roughly in the shape of a naked female human with a lobster head and crab appendages. Now, it was nearly shattered, and its head was being stepped on by Muria’s foot.
“It’s just another isolated and unsupported Chaotic Evil God, just like the Spider Queen.” Muria said dismissively. Then, an unusual sensation came from his foot. It felt as if he was stepping not on a stone idol’s head, but on a flesh-and-blood head.
“You’re reacting a bit late, aren’t you?” Muria looked down slightly to see the godly head he was stepping on, emitting a faintly blue divine light, particularly bright in the eyes, as though the idol had come to life.
“Lowly insect, how dare you blaspheme the deity.” A weak intention was transmitted that made Muria smile with derision.
“Blaspheme you? What can you do to me now? When your fish people followers were here, I didn’t see any reaction from you, and now they’re all annihilated, and your idol is all but shattered. I really can’t understand what you chaotic brainless deities are thinking.”
“I curse you in the name of the Mother of the Sea. You will encounter countless disasters on the boundless ocean, dying in the most miserable and painful way, and your soul will eventually plunge into the Abyss…” Upon hearing Muria’s mockery, the Koutao Fishmen’s God, Bribodup, spat out a venomous curse, full of anger and hatred towards Muria.
“Your curse is useless against me.” Muria exerted a little pressure with his foot and crushed the stone head, which had carried some semblance of godly consciousness but little power.
“Don’t you feel uncomfortable at all, Brother Muria?” Remilia adored Muria’s decisively strong attitude towards the deity without concealment. She, however, quickly asked worriedly.
“Relax, a curse of this level can’t hurt me. To curse me to death, she would need to consume a portion of her divine power as a sacrifice. Otherwise, these casual curses are useless. It’s okay to just listen to them.”
“But she is a sea deity with a huge number of followers in the sea. If she bears a grudge against you, you will have to endure endless attacks.”
“All her followers are Koutao Fishmen. If these fish really launch endless attacks against me, I would be very happy. I particularly like game that comes to the door, saving me the trouble of deploying a huge number of Storm and Tidal Giants to hunt for game. It just so happens to make it easier for my giants.”
“But she is a deity.” Remilia gently reminded Muria with his casual attitude.
“I’ve already offended Spider Queen Rose, so it’s no big deal to offend an evil god who is far less than her.” Muria said, chuckling as he tousled Remilia’s blue short hair.
“Brother, how many ocean deities have you offended?” Remilia asked in a soft voice, noting Muria’s contemptuous attitude towards the gods.
“Deep Sea Queen Amboli, Deep Sea King Daguan, and few others that I remember. In short, quite a lot.” Muria replied with a laugh.
“Brother, you’ve offended so many gods…”
“These are all evil gods. Given my identity, I’d naturally be at odds with these guys. Even if I didn’t provoke them, they would still initiate an attack on me when they saw me.”
Muria explained to Remilia patiently, while instructing his minions to collect war booty and clean up the battlefield.
“Plus, transforming my Cloud Island into a Floating City requires a significant amount of resources. Obtaining these resources peacefully is too slow. By plundering from those who are already our enemies, I can develop faster and more efficiently.”
“But…”
“Don’t worry, if these Cults of the Evil God were to retaliate together, I might be wary. However, the hatred they harbour for each other far surpasses any grudge against me—cooperation between them is highly unlikely.”
The followers of the Mother of the Sea and the King of the Deep Sea Daguan are Koutao Fishmen, indulge in a relentless feud over faith. And Queen Amboli of the Sea, known as the spicy Queen, her believers are primarily the Sahua Fishpeople, who are likewise caught up in a deadly survival competition with the Koutao Fishmen.
Few of these marine evil gods have amicable relationships. Most of them are mortal enemies, a situation that will unlikely change due to my presence.”
“Your Majesty, the spoils of war have been sorted.” Storm Giant Leader Terence, whose stature has grown to 34 meters under the influence of Prince Mureya, reported to Mureya.
“Then let’s return!” Muria replied as he held Remilia’s hand and boarded one of the Floating Warships.
“Muria brother, why didn’t you take these Fishmen prisoners?” Remilia asked as she watched some of the fortunate survivors being sent to meet their deity, the Tidal Giant. “They are excellent laborers.”
“Because they are chaotic creatures,” Muria replied nonchalantly.
“I remember some of your giants were also of chaotic nature before.”
“Now they are orderly creatures. I have reversed their nature.”
“In that case, why…”
“Alright, I confess. Mainly because these fishmen are too ugly, I can’t bear to look at them.”
…
Muria, having just sent Remilia away, sat in the central castle built next to the Wind King Eagle. Gazing at the navigation map in front of him, he was deep in contemplation about the direction of Cloud Island.
“Prince Mureya, I feel obligated to remind you that the Senapus Subcontinent where you’re heading is, to you, the most dangerous continent in the world right now.”
A gentle and warm voice resonated in Muria’s mind – it was his spirit, Cassio’s voice.
“I know,” Muria said, narrowing his eyes, “the Senapus Subcontinent, known as the Evil God’s Paradise, is rife with the Evil God’s Followers and Demon Followers. There is barely any place for creatures of the Good Camp to settle in.”
“Your Highness, there are no Metallic Ancient Dragons on the Senapus Subcontinent. You won’t get any help there, but instead, you’ll be met with hostility and pursuit from those believers of the Evil God. Have you considered bypassing this Subcontinent?”
“No need.”
