King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 471 - 471 467 Changes and Development of Cloud

Chapter 471: Chapter 467 Changes and Development of Cloud Island Chapter 471: Chapter 467 Changes and Development of Cloud Island After a large-scale purge targeting the two legendary dukes, the nobility of the Lockman Kingdom fell entirely silent. After being subjected to multiple purges, the remaining nobles, now a mere tenth of the number during Belradin’s reign, trembled within their own castles.

This was because they believed that the tyrant, who had already left, had returned. The Cloud Giant Legion that began its national tour was the best proof, as only Duke Mureya would have such a large number of Cloud Giants accompanying him.

After slaughtering every noble involved with the two Dukes, a large gap was left in the nobility of the Lockman Kingdom. Therefore, Queen Remilia hosted another large-scale conferment ceremony, and over three hundred substantive nobles with territories appeared. Most were members of the Demon-hunting Group who had made impressive military achievements during the Magic Disaster. The rewards were well-deserved.

A small part of them were from the Metallic Dragon Clan. The Lockman Kingdom added another group of dragon nobles, among whom the highest-ranking noble was none other than Ancient Golden Dragon Basde, who became the new Legendary Duke of the Lockman Kingdom, filling its void of legendary power.

With everything settled, the Cloud Giant Legion, touring the kingdom, began heading back to Mureya’s Half-plane through the teleportation array. They had to leave; this was not a place for them to stay for long.

“I will return now, little Remilia.” Mureya stood on the teleportation array within the royal palace, a permanent two-way teleport that led to Cloud Island, which had been prepared in advance.

“… Oh.” Remilia hesitated for a moment and didn’t try to stop him. She knew that even if Mureya agreed to stay, he wouldn’t stay for long.

“Would you like to visit my Cloud Island?”. Mureya extended his hand to Remilia, making an invitation. “Cloud Island has changed a lot since you last saw it.”

“Yes.” Without any hesitation, Queen Remilia, eyes sparkling, eagerly agreed to Mureya’s invitation.

“Wow, Cloud Island is so beautiful now! It’s entirely different from when it was in the Royal Capital.” When Remilia, holding Mureya’s hand, appeared on the highest level of Cloud Island and looked down, the widely-travelled little queen gasped in amazement.

The current 132 Cloud Islands were entirely different from the sight that had set sail from the Royal Capital Scarlett. In order to meet Mureya’s “mobile” requirement, a six-year Cloud Island transformation construction project was initiated, which nearly destroyed all natural landscapes on the islands.

Mountains were flattened, lakes were filled, and trees were uprooted… All of this was done to transform the island and to lay the foundation for a spell array that allowed Cloud Island to move.

Consequently, the Cloud Island that Mureya left with was barren and admittedly ugly. Yet everything was different two years later, after they had left the Lockman Kingdom and sailed to sea.

Following Mureya’s strict instructions and the different designs for every island, the Zor Elves on Cloud Island replanted all the uprooted trees with intact root systems.

Hill Giants were summoned to reshape the mountains and rivers of the islands and to dig new lakes and rivers. Under the joint computation of a group of human professionals supporting Mureya, a perfect water cycle system was constructed.

Moreover, many Cloud Giants, along with the dwarves and Dragon People, who had evolved from the Gnolls and “volunteered” to stay on Cloud Island, began to build houses and buildings to meet the daily living needs of the creatures on the islands.

Different creatures have different requirements for their living conditions and the size of their homes. It is not possible to follow the human example and just crudely construct a concentrated city to meet these needs.

Over more than two years, with the cooperation of hundreds of thousands of extraordinary beings and a significant number of humans, all the Cloud Islands have been completely transformed, achieving a perfect blend of nature and architecture that’s visually pleasing.

“I so wish to stay here with Brother Mureya forever!” Remilia exclaimed, admiring the scenic beauty of the Cloud Islands, which was entirely different from her memories of it, while standing at a high point.

Clear rivers cascaded from the higher Cloud Islands to the lower ones, forming spectacular waterfalls. The mist produced by the waterfalls shone with brilliant rainbow glows under the illumination of the sunlight, bestowing a dreamy sheen over all Cloud Islands.

Giant Dragons soared with grace between the various islands. The entirely white Cloud Giants, with their Griffins, patrolled along the routes they knew by heart. Sea birds and indigenous creatures with the ability to fly rose and fell between the islands, creating a tranquil and peaceful ambiance.

“You can come over anytime you want through the Teleportation Array,” Mureya replied with a smile, patting Remilia’s hair upon hearing her outburst. “It wouldn’t be much different from living with me.”

“Okay!” The young queen nodded excitedly, then took the initiative to drag Mureya along, wanting him to accompany her on a tour of the Cloud Island, which had become somewhat unfamiliar.

Remilia noticed that the further down she went, the greater the number of beings residing there. The living spaces were distributed based on the life level and power of the beings. Powerful ones lived on the higher Cloud Islands while the weaker ones were crowded onto the lower islands.

Of course, the term “crowded” is only in comparison to the spacious living spaces afforded to the beings on the upper Cloud Islands. When compared with the lifestyle of the common people in the Lockman Kingdom, this was already a life that could only be enjoyed by devoted believers after their death, in the Divine Kingdom of the deities they worshipped.

This was a very reasonable arrangement. In the Erathia world, there is no notion of equality among all. Even the kindest deity would not advocate such absurd theories.

Dragons and giants cannot coexist with mortals. This arrangement isn’t beneficial to anyone. Even for a small-bodied humanoid species like the Zor Elves, any common male beings living around her would inevitably become weak over time, lethargic all day long, and basically rendered incapacitated.

“Brother Mureya, what are they doing?” Remilia, who was touring the gathering place of the Cloud Giants with Mureya, pointed curiously towards an island near the sea where some minor disturbance seemed to have ensued.

“Hm?” Mureya looked in the direction Remilia was pointing to. Several Tidal Giants with blue skin were ascending from the ocean on the waves, and after saying something to the humans and Cloud Giants stationed there, five floating ships took off from that Cloud Island.

A dozen or so Cloud Giants followed suit with their pets, and a green dragon that had been hovering between the islands upon seeing the commotion, let out an excited roar. Flapping its wings, it turned and followed them enthusiastically.

“Ahem.” Mureya coughed, rubbing his chin sheepishly, “They seem to have found some prey.”

“Prey?”

“Like pirates or the like from evil races.”
