King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 453 - 453 449 The Friendly Neighbor of the Wind King
Chapter 453: Chapter 449 The ‘Friendly’ Neighbor of the Wind King Hawk Chapter 453: Chapter 449 The ‘Friendly’ Neighbor of the Wind King Hawk “Refreshing!” With a faint smile on his face, Muria, now returned to his normal form as a young human boy, stretched his body and walked out of the Semi Plane back into the Royal Palace.
The Third-Rank Legendary Balrog Flame Demon readily agreed to sign a master-servant contract with him. After the contract was successfully signed, Muria immediately had a bout with the demon, to preliminarily adapt to his newly enhanced strength.
“Master Muria!” The moment Muria appeared, Mia, his blond Dragonborn female servant, appeared beside him, her eyes filled with worry as she looked at Muria who seemed to be a little different.
“Have anything happened in the Kingdom while I was away?” Muria evaded Mia’s gaze and asked somewhat uneasily. His disappearance was indeed sudden, and even he didn’t anticipate the occurrence of “fainting from pain”.
“All is calm, no major incidents occurred. There were some minor issues when Princess Remilia was touring the country to oversee the city reconstruction projects, but they’ve been resolved by the accompanying Giants and Mr. Miles.”
“Okay.” Muria nodded, knowing that if it was a small issue that has been resolved, then there was no need to ask more.
“However, master, the Legendary Beast you care a lot about, the Wind King Hawk, has returned.” Mia looked at Muria’s face and reported this heavy news to him.
“He’s already back?” The news didn’t surprise Muria much. At this point, his parents were already home, which meant that the Magic Disaster had ended, so it was normal for the Wind King Hawk to return.
“According to reports from the Cloud Giants, upon the return of the Wind King Hawk, it immediately entered a sleeping state, but this time it seems a bit different from its previous sleeps.”
“He’s already in the sleeping state!” A hint of surprise spread across Muria’s face. If the giant beast had already returned and had entered sleep, then some of the plans he previously had in mind could be attempted.
With this thought in mind, Muria flew out of the hall. As ever, he saw hundreds of Cloud Islands floating near the Royal Capital. Even though the Wind King Hawk was done, there was still no sign of it wanting to move the Cloud Islands, which relieved Muria.
“Come with me to check the state of the Wind King Hawk.” Muria turned into a rainbow and shot directly towards the Cloud Islands with Mia closely following behind. Below, a group of patrolling giants swiftly rose to the sky, following them closely.
“What has it been through?” Upon reaching the center of the Cloud Islands, Muria was taken aback at the sight of the massive beast lying in its nest. It now appeared significantly different from the first time he’d seen the Wind King Hawk. The current Wind King Hawk, was actually giving him a sense of weakness.
“How many Demon Lords have you really fought?” Muria murmured to himself. Although he had been sedentary in the Royal Palace, he had the power to know everything that happened on this continent, leaving nothing out.
In the past year, he often received reports of battles between Legends, the most frequent being the reports from his family elders. They were generally good news of the Titans dominating all around, unparalleled. Besides that, the majority of the other reports were those of the Wind King Hawk.
This hawk was relentlessly brave. Wherever there was a projection of the Demon Lord, it would be there. If there were none, it would pick the strongest demon nearby and pick a fight with it. In short, it’s always active, more belligerent even than the Titans.
Choosing only to fight the strongest demons seemed to be a belief of the Wind King Hawk. Therefore, even though it was favored by the world – blessed by the laws and possessing a top-tier fighting power that can flip over avatars of Deities of the same level – the Wind King Hawk ended up being battered and bruised.
“Is it getting ready to form into an egg?” Muria was going around the sleeping Wind King Eagle. He found that its Crystal Eagle’s Nest was growing upwards, seemingly intending to enclose the entire Wind King Eagle.
“What a nice way to recuperate.” Muria’s eyes sparkled. The Dragon Race too had similar healing secrets; his current problem was how long this Wind King Eagle intended to sleep.
These giant creatures, born with the blessings of their ancestors and the favor of the World Will, almost never die. They are the eternal beings among eternal beings. Their concept of time is even more exaggerated than that of the average eternal beings. Sleeping for thousands of years for their kind is really not a big deal.
With such a long time, Muria naturally hankered after these Cloud Islands, seemingly collected by the Wind King Eagle. Ever since learning from the Golden Dragon Mother that the Cloud Islands could be transformed into floating cities, Muria started entertaining the idea of having these Cloud Islands.
Initially, Muria refused. As a Golden Dragon, how could he covet others’ possessions? However, after fantasizing about traveling around the world with hundreds of floating cities and the help these cities would provide for his future goals, Muria felt it necessary to be more flexible as a dragon.
After all, once the Wind King Eagle fell into sleep, it would only need a place to sleep and wouldn’t utilize the rest of the area. Leaving it as it is would be a waste of resources; and wasting is a shameful act. To prevent such a disgraceful occurring, Muria believed it necessary to help the Wind King Eagle exploit these Cloud Islands to prevent them from lying idle.
“Brother Eagle,” Muria landed on the nest, where wind element crystals were rapidly condensing and growing, he shouted at the Wind King Eagle, whose body was as huge as a mountain. Stretching out his hand and gently pushing it, he found that the giant bird had no reaction so his courage rose.
“With your power, even if you’re sleeping, you should be able to hear what I’m saying, right?” Muria talked nonsense with a serious face. Keeping consciousness while in a sleeping state, was that still called sleep?
“I mean, Brother Eagle, I wanted to ask if you have any place you want to visit right now?” Muria waited for a few seconds and, upon seeing the Wind King Eagle not reacting as predicted, he started to talk to himself,
“No response; looks like you don’t. Makes sense. You’ve lived so long that you’ve probably been to all the interesting places in the world. That’s probably why you docked the Cloud Islands here, meaning, you don’t really care where you go, right!”
Muria carefully tested the state of the Wind King Eagle, “Erm, Brother Eagle, I have a small proposal beneficial to both of us.
Look around, don’t you think these Cloud Islands are too barren? That’s not very pleasing to look at. Aren’t you disappointed each time you wake up and see this kind of scenery?”
There was silence all around, the Wind King Eagle didn’t move, and there was no response at all. As such, Muria continued speaking shamelessly, “Based on our relationship as neighbors for ten years, I think I have the obligation to help you transform and utilize these Cloud Islands and make them more attractive and practical.”
“Of course, there’s no need to thank me. I’ll contribute both money and effort to helping you transform the Cloud Islands, and I just hope for some tiny, insignificant return,” Muria blushed slightly, he feigned embarrassment and rubbed his chin, “After I help you transform the Cloud Islands, let me have some giants stay there. There shouldn’t be any problem, right? It’s just a matter of residency rights.
The ownership of the Cloud Islands will still be yours. Of course, during your sleeping period, I will determine the direction for the Cloud Islands. There shouldn’t be a problem, right? Since you don’t care about where you go.”
“Brother Eagle,” As he spoke, the redness on Muria’s face faded. He almost convinced himself that he was only going to “live” there and not do anything else, “If you don’t say anything, I’ll take it you agree!”
