Chapter 429 - 429 424 The Second Titan
Chapter 429: Chapter 424 The Second Titan Chapter 429: Chapter 424 The Second Titan “Splurt!” The Golden Thunder Spear pierced through the abdomen of the Balrog Flame Demon and then exploded, turning into golden thunder that enveloped it. No blood squirted out as it had all evaporated.
Once the thunder dissipated, a translucent hole appeared in its abdomen. The Balrog Flame Demon, covered in burn marks, revealed itself. Intense flames burned on its body, shed its scorch marks, and regenerated its flesh. The bloody hole began to heal.
The legendary demon’s robust vitality was on display, but it was of little use. This robust vitality merely turned this demon into a Balrog Flame Demon-sized punching bag with excellent restoration abilities.
In fact, the Balrog Flame Demon was quite helpless too. It was its first time fighting against a Titan. It had only heard about them, but never seen them before. So, when it found that most of its typical attacks were futile against Ansol, it felt rather helpless.
The Evil Spirit Light was completely immune. Its magical abilities, Firestorm and Internal Blast Technique, were utterly useless. Soul Capture Technique and Command: Shock were ineffective as well. As for close combat, the Balrog Flame Demon was suppressed by Ansol in all aspects.
Legendary Titan Ansol had slain countless Balrog Flame Demons, yet this Balrog Flame Demon had no experience fighting against a Titan. Of course, very few demons survived a battle with a Titan, so lack of experience was a normal thing.
“Roar!” After being pierced again by the Thunderbolt Spear thrown by the Titan, the Balrog Flame Demon, upon failing to break through the Space Seal, fell into utter despair, and with despair came madness.
Ansol was merely treating it as prey, merely amusing himself. He sealed off the surrounding space, denying it the opportunity to escape via Advanced Teleportation Technique, yet allowing it to use the Teleportation Spell in battle. How confident was that?
After realizing that its magic attacks were essentially useless, the Balrog Flame Demon once again launched the Demon Summoning Technique, summoning scores of cannon fodder to buy itself some time. Of course, it hoped more to summon a demon of its kind and let them suffer the beating together.
The Demon Summoning Technique has considerable uncertainty. Lower rank demons like Berserk Demon and Judge Demon can indeed be summoned with hundred percent certainty. Still, when it comes to high-rank demons, it’s all random. It might summon a Six-armed Serpent Demon, or another Balrog Flame Demon.
It’s all about probabilities and luck. However, this Balrog Flame Demon didn’t seem to have much luck. After three consecutive summons, it only managed to summon Six-armed Serpent Demons, which rendered Ansol’s gaze towards it somewhat strange.
“Why hasn’t any of your kind responded to your summons?” Ansol stepped over the charred demon corpses scattered about, approaching the now terrified Balrog Flame Demon.
“How would I know?” The Balrog Flame Demon growled silently in anger. It had initially felt favored by the Abyss, but now it seemed as though the will of the Abyss had discarded it. It felt the world’s malice.
“Roar!” As the Balrog Flame Demon was attempting its fourth summon, a teleportation gate appeared. An excited roar echoed as scorching flames gushed out, followed by a hideous and burly figure stepping on the flames and rushing out.
But upon seeing Ansol, the newly summoned Balrog Flame Demon halted abruptly. Without uttering a word, it quickly backed away, trying to retreat through the space gate the summoning had created.
“Brother, stay, don’t even think about running away.” The Balrog Flame Demon, who had been beaten by Ansol into doubting its existence, grinned as it shut down the spatial tunnel.
“You bloody bastard! You’re asking for it!” Seeing its escape route being cut off, the newly summoned Balrog Flame Demon had a face full of rage and brutality.
“You may!” To the side, Ansol nodded contentedly when he saw that the Balrog Flame Demon finally summoned one of its kind. “The two of you attack together, if you manage to wound me, I’ll let you return to the Abyss.”
“Really?”
“Of course.” Ansol’s lips curled up slightly, revealing a hint of mockery. It was necessary to give a glimpse of hope to those who fell into despair, to instill them with a will to fight, even if that hope was as elusive as a flower in a mirror or the moon in the water.
“Engage him in close combat. There’s no use attacking from a distance with magic.” After being beaten for so long, the Balrog Flame Demon shared his most effective attack strategy with the unfortunate demon he had summoned.
As soon as his words fell, the figures of the two Balrog Flame Demons simultaneously disappeared from their original position and appeared on both sides of Ansol. Two Beheading Heavy Swords wrapped in flames and two Flame Whips with sharp barbs and hard spherical ends were struck towards Ansol at the same time.
“You’re finally showing some competency!” Since Ansol didn’t have the Legendary Armor, he sidestepped the attacks with calm footsteps and avoided the two Heavy Swords.
At the same time, wind and thunder surged into his palms, solidifying into an Elemental Gauntlet, then he reached out, grabbing one of the Flame Whips with one hand.
“Bang!” Ansol swung the Flame Whip in his hand, causing the two hulking Balrog Flame Demons to collide heavily with each other, and the crisp and dense sound of breaking bones rang out.
“Why are they much weaker than the ones I encountered before?” Ansol, who had just sent a Balrog Flame Demon flying with a punch, frowned slightly, and then looked up at the sky polluted by the aura of the demons, realizing something.
He had previously been fighting demons in the Abyss. As orderly beings, they were suppressed in the Abyss, akin to being shackled, but the Balrog Flame Demons were favored by the Abyss and were blessed by it.
Now, however, they were in Elasia. Although Ansol wouldn’t receive a blessing from the world, he wouldn’t be suppressed either. And because of the current special environment, the demons were not being suppressed or blessed.
Understanding the situation, Ansol suddenly felt bored. Thunder erupted, sweeping away all the cannon fodder demons that had been summoned. He then looked at the two Balrog Flame Demons struggling to stand up from the craters.
Then, the ground exploded. Ansol’s figure instantly disappeared from the spot. Appearing before one of the Balrog Flame Demons, he stomped down with his foot enveloped in wind and thunder…
“Boom!” “Bang!” …As Ansol moved his hands and feet, he shattered the air to create a sound explosion ring. With thunder-like roars, his hits landed on bare flesh, causing the two Balrog Flame Demons to scream incessantly.
“Splatter!” A Balrog Flame Demon was grabbed by Ansol like a rag doll. Its claws, wings, tail, and all were torn off one by one by this violent Titan. Its blood, resembling magma, gushed out, contaminating a large part of the ground…
“It’s not enough!” The Titan, standing amidst a collapsed hill, fallen trees, and a ravaged landscape, sighed discontentedly. Beneath his feet lay a Balrog Flame Demon whose body was battered and face as grey as death, no longer struggling.
“Don’t worry, this is just the beginning. More powerful demons will descend later.”
