Chapter 393 - 393 388 Seeing the Planar Merchant Again

Chapter 393: Chapter 388: Seeing the Planar Merchant Again Chapter 393: Chapter 388: Seeing the Planar Merchant Again Muria gave a pep talk to the young Demon Hunter, filling him with determination to become the next Ron. Satisfied with his work, he held onto Yingdila and left the semi-plane.

Upon reappearing in the royal palace, Mia, the dragonborn maid who had sensed Muria’s sudden disappearance, hurried over. As a dragonkin who had been influenced by Muria’s aura for decades, she had a natural sensitivity to his presence.

As soon as Muria entered the semi-plane, she could no longer feel him. Now that he was back, she was quick to approach him. “Young Master Muria, you were…”

“I told you before, I obtained a semi-plane on the Osroni subcontinent. I just entered that semi-plane to bring this little one out.” Muria patted Yingdila, introducing her to his personal maid.

“Young Master, she looks like you.” Seeing a younger, miniature version of her feminine-looking master in Yingdila, Mia showed a joyful smile. With her uncanny resemblance to Muria, Yingdila was very appealing.

“Muria, can I eat her?” Holding Muria’s hand, the seemingly well-behaved Yingdila stared at Mia who wanted to touch her.

“No.” Muria gently pinched Yingdila’s tender face, “Yingdila, without my permission, you cannot eat anything living.”

“Oh!” Rejected by Muria, Yingdila lowered her head, sucking her fingers despondently.

“Young Master Muria…” Mia, who had just wanted to touch Yingdila, was struck by fear as Yingdila looked at her as if she were food. Without noticing, cold sweat started to form on her forehead and back.

“Yingdila comes from the void and is different from us.” Muria issued an order, “Later, notify everyone in the palace to avoid touching Yingdila. If they see her, they should avoid her.”

“Muria…” Upon hearing Muria’s command, Yingdila pouted in dissatisfaction. She looked extremely cute, but unfortunately only Muria could appreciate her cuteness.

Muria ignored Yingdila and continued talking to Mia, “How are the preparations for Belradin’s funeral going?”

“It’s underway. According to the rules of the Lockman Kingdom, I’ve already notified the whole country of the king’s death. Nobles have already sent people to attend King Belradin’s funeral.”

“Well, Belradin’s funeral must be prepared according to their customs without any errors.”

“Don’t worry, Young Master Muria.”

“Hmm, Yingdila, let’s go.” Muria took the hand of the little girl who was looking around curiously. “I’ll take you to meet your future benefactor. From now on, you have to protect her well. Anyone who wants to harm her, you can consider them as food.”

“Mm-hmm!” Upon hearing this, Yingdila smiled happily, her eyes turning into crescent moons.

“Where is Princess Remilia?” When Muria arrived at the palace where the only inheritor of the Lockman Kingdom currently stayed, he noticed a peculiar situation after asking the handmaids and guards about her whereabouts.

“I don’t know.” Both the handmaids and the giant guards he had deployed knew nothing, everyone just kept saying they didn’t know, as if Princess Remilia didn’t exist at all.

In the end, in the back garden of Remilia’s palace, Muria saw an extremely peculiar yet familiar scene.

A humanoid creature, dressed in a black robe, sat in the middle of a garden full of exotic plants.

In front of him was a neat and clean black rug, on which were arranged various seemingly ordinary items.

In this getup, he looked like a general goods merchant that could be easily found in any city. These merchants deal with and sell products of uncertain origin, most of which are low-tier goods.

But such a merchant, who should have been in a bustling street, now mysteriously appeared in the royal palace, that too in the most heavily guarded sleeping quarters of Remilia. How could this not be strange?

Muria himself did not have as high a level of security as he had given to Princess Remilia. Yet, this stringent restriction seemed to be nothing to this man.

Neither the storm giants and cloud giants Muria had stationed here, nor the griffins patrolling the sky, saw this merchant. With them, Princess Remilia, who was squatting in front of the stall, was also ignored as if she didn’t exist.

Or rather, her presence was weakened to the point of almost non-existence. Remilia was still there, but apart from special beings like Muria, everyone ignored the little princess.

“Planar Merchant!” Upon seeing the black-robed man sitting cross-legged, Muria squinted his eyes, then glanced at Yingdila beside him. “Can you see that black-robed fellow?”

“What?” Yingdila, who was looking around curiously, was baffled by Muria’s request.

“Never mind, just stay here and don’t move around. I’ll be back soon after buying something.” Letting go of Yingdila’s hand, Muria walked towards the Planar Merchant’s stall.

As Muria approached the Planar Merchant, his presence was rapidly suppressed and reduced. By the time he reached Remilia’s side, Yingdila was all the more baffled. She didn’t know why she was here. She vaguely remembered someone telling her to stay here and wait for him.

“Good day, ruler of the Lockman Kingdom, esteemed Prince Muria.” Upon seeing Muria approach, the black-robed merchant sitting cross-legged gave a slight bow, putting on quite the arrogant act.

“Do you want this spear?” Ignoring the arrogant Planar Merchant, Muria squatted down, looking at Remilia and the red spear tightly held in her hand.

“Yes.” Seeing Muria, Remilia shrank back timidly. After a moment’s hesitation, she slowly nodded.

“How much for this spear?” Muria asked the black-robed merchant directly.

“My lord, it isn’t very fair of you. I had just concluded a price discussion with this little customer, and a deal was about to be made.”

“Right now, I am her guardian. I have the right to intervene in all her decisions, and I have the obligation to protect her from harm. Tell me, what price do you want my little Princess Remilia to pay for this spear?”

“If you put it that way, I have no choice but to tell you.” The black-robed merchant replied calmly, “This young customer wishes to purchase Gungnir. The price: three unconditional favors to be granted five hundred years from now.”

“If I wanted to buy this spear for her, what price would I have to pay?”

“Please allow me to predict your future briefly.”
