King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 377 - 377 372 The King of Wind Elves

Chapter 377: Chapter 372: The King of Wind Elves Chapter 377: Chapter 372: The King of Wind Elves A rushing river cascades from high-up, dropping into a shimmering lake, stirring sprays of water and filling the air around with a dense mist. Nestled by the lakeside stands a stone house, painstakingly built from piled rocks – nonetheless it appears well-crafted.

At the entrance of this meticulously constructed stone house, a locally born, slightly robust Cloud Giant, anxiously eyes the approaching group. The group is composed of over thirty figures claiming to be Cloud Giants, looming around him from all sides.

This group of giants, each surpassing the height of 15 meters, was clad in heavy armor and was armed to the teeth, their superior weaponry a sight to behold. This piqued a deep envy within the local Cloud Giant.

“We are indeed Cloud Giants,” noticing the local Cloud Giant’s disbelief, the leader of the Cloud Giants, Ebute, who had already arrived at the scene, walked through a gap in the circle of surrounding guards to approach the anxious native giant and explained.

“Our current form is due to pledging allegiance to Prince Muria, a descendant of the Titan lineage. His Majesty’s power allowed us to shatter our shackles and attain our present forms and strengths. Therefore, there is no need for you to be anxious.”

“Titan?” Before the local male Cloud Giant could respond, two excited, child-like gasps of surprise rang out from the stone house blocked by him.

Following that, a boy and a girl, both young Cloud Giants, burst out from behind him, eyes welling with excitement as they glimpsed at the surroundings. But seeing the crowd of Cloud Giants- significantly taller than their father and fully armed, their excitement waned and they immediately ran back behind their father for safety.

“These are your kids, right?” Seeing these fledgling Cloud Giants who had gotten excited at the mere mention of the Titan, a smile appeared on Ebute’s face. “If they could live within the proximity of His Majesty’s dwelling, they will certainly achieve greater heights than yourself in the future.”

This blatant enticement further tempted the local Cloud Giant who was already partially convinced that these visitors were indeed his kinsmen. Their mannerisms and attitude towards him had already explained a lot.

“Is this Prince Mureya you spoke about the great Titan?” Having understood everything and deciphered Ebute’s implication, the native male Cloud Giant asked out of curiosity. As far as he knew, Titans don’t usually accept giants as followers.

“You can say that, but also not quite,” Ebute hesitated, “Prince Mureya’s father is a true Titan, whereas his mother is an Ancestral Golden Dragon who has already surpassed the bounds of the Legendary.”

“So, the Prince Mureya you are speaking about is a half-blood Titan of the Ancestral Golden Dragon lineage?”

“You can certainly interpret it that way.”

For Giants, Titans were the supreme beings they yearned to follow, while Ancestral Golden Dragons were the ultimate entities they aspired to serve. Upon learning the existence of Prince Mureya, it immediately swayed the Cloud Giant who had been living on Cloud Island since birth towards Mureya for the sake of his family’s future.

“You brought so many Giants here, what’s your purpose? Is it by the command of Prince Mureya?”

Without a shred of hesitation, this native male Cloud Giant started to refer to Prince Mureya as ‘His Majesty’. Given a choice, he intended to immediately pledge allegiance to the cloud giant’s Prince Mureya.

“At the behest of Prince Mureya, we are to investigate all the Cloud Islands and examine whether there exist creatures that pose a threat to the kingdom’s security,” Ebute replied solemnly.

“You intend to investigate all the Cloud Islands?” Hearing Ebute’s reply, the facial expression of the native Cloud Giant turned awestruck. “Please refrain from doing so. All of the Cloud Islands are the territory of the Wind Spirit King. If your actions offend it, you’ll be annihilated instantaneously.”

“Wind Spirit King?” Upon hearing the term used by the local Cloud Giant, a puzzled Ebute exchanged looks with the surrounding Cloud Giants. He had never heard such a title. Judging by the Cloud Giant’s reactions, it was clearly implied that the so-called Wind Spirit King must possess strength beyond that of the legendary.

“What is this Wind Spirit King? An elemental lord or elemental king of the Wind Elemental Realm?” A frown crinkled on Ebute’s forehead as he questioned the local cloud giant, “But something’s not right, Elemental Kings can never descend upon the Material World.”

“The Wind Spirit King is merely our appellative. This exalted being has no connection to the elemental realm. However, whenever it awakens, boundless winds always accompany it, hence we refer to it in this manner.”

“Oh.” A comprehension dawned on Ebute as he nodded, then another thought occurred, leading to another inquiry, “Have you seen what this Wind Spirit King looks like? Can you describe it?”

“I’ve only witnessed the Wind Spirit King’s manifestation once in my life. But back then, the winds enveloping it obstructed most of its body, preventing me from determining its true form.”

“Then, do you know anyone who has seen the true form of the Wind Spirit King?” Ebute continued his inquiries. Clearly, this supposed ‘Spirit King’ was the most powerful creature on this Cloud Island.

However, it’s not an elemental creature from the Elemental Realm. The title ‘Wind Spirit King’ merely affirmed its strong control over wind, nothing more than that.

Eh, maybe the formation of the Wind Barrier can also be attributed to the leakage of the Wind Spirit King’s power. From the current observations, its power was still terrifying, probably possessing the capability to annihilate a giant investigation legion with a single breath.

“Yes.”

“Take me there,” Ebute eagerly urged. As long as he can ascertain the identity, race, and power of this ‘Wind Spirit King’, he would essentially have completed the task assigned by Prince Muria.

While Ebute was bustling about investigating the Wind Spirit King on the Cloud Island, Prince Muria was immersed in contemplation, contemplating about revising a handful of illogical laws regarding the Lockman Kingdom. However, this would inevitably encroach upon the interests of the nobility which could lead to backlash.

“Noble Lords, besides abiding by the basic kingdom laws, are allowed to do as they please. They can modify the laws in their territory at will, arbitrarily increase or decrease taxes, and even decide the fate of any of their subjects.”

“Outrageous regulations,” Muria frowned whilst reading through these privileges, which were enjoyed by the Noble Lords in nearly all human kingdoms. As someone who knew the existence of centralized power, Prince Muria couldn’t tolerate these privileges that the Noble Lords enjoyed.
