King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 375 - 375 370 Compromise
Chapter 375: Chapter 370: Compromise Chapter 375: Chapter 370: Compromise “Are there any precautions to note, Master?”
“Just make sure that the battle does not affect any innocent intelligent creatures. You can do whatever else you like, and you can use any means necessary.” Muria stood up, went to the entrance of the palace in which he was now located, overlooking the bustling bustling city below.
No matter who the rulers are, even if they belong to the dark races inhabiting the underworld, everyone likes to build their palaces grand and towering. Once they step out of it, they can easily look down on their subjects and enjoy the feeling of superiority.
“I understand.”
“Start with the city at my feet.” Muria’s eyes were indifferent, “You should have sensed it, there are many of your kind mixed in this city. Take control of all of them, and kill all of those who are unwilling to submit.”
“Just some lowly devils, Master, I certainly won’t let you down.” Mels, who originally thought he was summoned to do some dirty work, was overjoyed.
No matter what level of demon, due to their strict hierarchy, their desire for power is just as strong as their pursuit of strength. And now, Mels has obtained the power he’d dreamed of.
“Right, let me introduce you to a few people.” Muria activated the ring that had been worn on his palm for less than half a month, sending out a summoning signal through certain frequencies.
Soon, within less than ten breaths of time, one after another semi-transparent virtual shadow emerged from the air. They were the managers of various intelligence systems set up by the successive kings of the Scarlett Family, maintaining their absolute loyalty to the royal family.
Now, Belradin commands them to temporarily serve Muria. But Muria would not fully trust these guys, or to put it simply, he would not easily trust any human being, except for certain select groups.
After introducing these intelligence leaders to Mels to avoid any miscommunication in the future, Muria stepped back. All he wanted was the result.
Muria did trust the Abyss Refining Demon, who was about to break into legend, for his professional skills. Negotiating with intelligent creatures and tricking them into selling themselves while also helping to count the money was a basic operation for every major demon.
While Muria was diligently processing political affairs and considering how to clear the Roman Kingdom of all sorts of harsh taxes that were not conducive to development, to ensure the prosperity of the Lockman Kingdom…
The Zor Elf Envoy Corps, represented by Iris, had returned to the newly-built capital of the Medis Kingdom and met with the Zor Elf Queen Dilara, faithfully reporting everything they had seen and heard in the royal capital, much to the displeasure of the elven elders who were watching her.
Queen Dilara of the Zor Elves and those who were originally ruling their own regions and were now demoted to being elders of the Zor Elves, listening to Iris’s description, looked more and more ugly as they listened.
“When the ceremony ended, I intended to leave immediately, but the Golden Dragon Archduke sent people to stop me.” Iris, standing in the intricately decorated council hall with a sombre hue, impassively reported her experience.
“Then Duke Mureya summoned me with Ten Ancient Dragons.” At this point, Iris couldn’t suppress the fear in her eyes. Who could understand her worry that she might be killed by the Ancient Dragons at any moment, living in constant fear of death at the hands of others?
The elf elder suppressed the resentment she held in her heart for the black-skinned bitch seated above her. If not for her, the elder would not have had such a terrible experience.
But when Iris recounted her fear, laughter filled their surroundings, a perverse joy at the misfortune of others. This is characteristic of the Zor Elves; there is only exploitation, enslavement, and oppression among their kind; empathy and similar sentiments are superfluous.
“What did he say to you?” The already gloomy-faced Queen Dilara of the Elves, who was sitting upright, asked.
“Duke Mureya sent a message for you.” Although Iris had already envisioned a thousand and one ways for Dilara to die, she remained extremely respectful on the surface. She repeated all the words and conditions that Mureya had laid down, mimicking his tone perfectly.
“He expects me to tribute him fifty thousand cubic units of elemental crystals each year? Outrageous.” Upon hearing Mureya’s conditions, the already gloomy-faced Zor Elf Queen’s face twisted completely.
Dilara was filled with rage, the legendary dominion erupting, stirring waves of shockwaves. The countenances of many of the former elf matriarchs in the hall turned sour, and within the castle, all of the elves who felt this power could not help but tremble and kneel down.
“Does he really think that possessing ten ancient dragons would make me submit?” Dilara, with her delicate features slightly distorted, clasped the armrest of the throne tightly. The armrest, forged from high-grade extraordinary metal, was bent and distorted as a result.
This sight made the hearts of many Zor Elves below palpitate. It is well known that elves are not known for their strength, so one can only imagine how powerful the Queen, who is adept in other areas, really is.
“Your Majesty, it’s not just the Ancient Dragons. There are also the fourteen legends from the Lockman Kingdom itself.” With that said, Iris produced the gem which contained a recording of the scene that could be her lifelong nightmare.
By activating the rune recorded in the gem with both magical power and mental energy, the image of the council hall in Scarlet Palace was projected within the palace located in the Dark Region.
The black-haired, golden-pupiled youth is seated high upon the throne, with differently dispositioned ancient dragons in human form flanked by his sides. Below them are the fourteen legends from the Lockman Kingdom, totaling twenty-four legends. Not only does the 3D image appear lifelike, but it also emits a sense of legendary dominion within this dark underground domain.
Whether intentional or unintentional, in the image constructed by Iris’s magic, Mureya, seated high on the throne, was directly facing the Zor Elf Queen, Dilara, and even seemed slightly superior. The twenty-four legends surrounded all the legendary elf ministers in a semi-circle formation.
“Regent Duke Mureya!” The white-haired, dark-skinned Elf Queen Dilara stood up, her gaze fixed on the young man who had a playful smirk at the corner of his mouth, as if Mureya was truly in front of her, looking down upon her with such a disdainful look.
“Iris, that’s enough. Turn off the image.” A Zor Elf couldn’t bear the pressure of being watched and looked down upon by twenty-four legends and called out immediately. It was an exceptionally uncomfortable feeling.
“Your Majesty?” Iris ignored the shouting elder elf, “If we refuse to pay tribute, we should prepare our army now to defend against an attack from the Lockman Kingdom.”
“All of you, go and prepare fifty thousand cubic units of resources and deliver them to the surface.” Dilara glanced at the numerous legends surrounding the young man, took a deep breath, held back the bitterness in her heart, and glared hatefully at the illusory Mureya, “For now, we’ll endure for a few years. He won’t be regent for long.”
