Chapter 372: Chapter 367: Reincarnation Technique Chapter 372: Chapter 367: Reincarnation Technique “Please give your command.” Upon hearing Muria’s words, Iris exhaled subtly. She lifted her head, her long, gray hair hanging loose, her voluptuous figure accentuated.
“Tell your queen to behave herself. She can do as she pleases beneath the surface but must not step onto the ground above. Aboveground, there is no place for you Zor Elves to coexist.”
“I will relay your words verbatim to Her Majesty,” Iris replied, outwardly unbothered by Muria’s words, but inwardly full of resentment and dissatisfaction. Born amidst darkness, don’t they have the right to live under the sunlight?
“If you are not satisfied, you can go back and persuade her to declare war on my Lockman Kingdom, and see who can annihilate whom.” Muria’s right hand knocked on the armrest of his throne. Each knock summoned the image of a legendary figure, which started to surround the Zor elves, putting them under immense pressure.
Twenty-four legends! Apart from the ten ancient dragons, this Archduke who had assumed supremacy for less than a day could already command other dukes in the kingdom. Such a number of legends could indeed annihilate their Medis Kingdom.
“Your Grace, you misunderstand. Our Medis Kingdom will absolutely not harbor any intentions of invading the surface.” Even though Iris hadn’t reported back to the queen yet, she was confident that once she reported honestly…
That ambitious queen will absolutely not harbor intentions of attacking Lockman Kingdom again, at least not during the reign of this Golden Dragon.
“Is that so?” Muria responded noncommittally. The Sherman Dwarf Kingdom expanded its army for self-defense, but the expansion of the Medis Kingdom’s army was definitely aimed at attacking the Lockman Kingdom.
“Do you have any other conditions?” Before Muria could speak again, Iris asked cautiously.
“Tell your queen to pay tribute to me,” Muria knocked on the armrest of his throne, “Each year, contribute no less than fifty thousand cubic meters of Elemental Crystals, a resource unique to your Dark Region.”
“Fifty thousand cubic meters a year?” Iris’s face showed a hint of astonishment. This Golden Dragon Archduke’s appetite was too large. Given that quantity, would that arrogant bitch accept such an extortion?
“If you are unwilling, then I will come and take it for myself.” Muria said nonchalantly. He had paid most to reach his current position, and it was time to replenish his losses.
“Your Grace, this decision is beyond my authority. Please permit me to report back first and give you an answer later.” Iris respectfully requested, feeling a mysterious bitterness in her mouth.
If she dared agree to such conditions, she would be executed upon returning to her kingdom. Even if she didn’t, she was certain to face grave consequences if she carried this demand from the Golden Dragon Archduke back with her.
“Hmm, I will not make things difficult for you,” Muria looked down condescendingly at the legendary Zor Elf with white hair. “You will use your current perception to record everything in this hall with magic. I believe your queen will make the correct decision after viewing this recording.”
“Thank you for your kindness.” Iris felt a certain gratitude towards Muria. With this recording, she could avoid a lot of pressure.
Then, this semi-magician of the legendary Zor Elves used magic to record every detail of the hall into a gemstone, and then asked to be dismissed by Muria.
After the voluptuous Zor Elves, whose every move was imbued with charm, left, Muria asked all the human legends to withdraw and roam freely if they wished to return to their territories. Muria no longer needed to overpower the Zor Elves with them.
Next, Muria was to meet Sesa, the king of the Dragon People, who was quite calculating.
“Your Highness, Prince Muria.” Transforming into a dragon person over three meters tall, Sesa entered the council hall, bowed politely to Muria, and then, with a hint of reverence, regarded the ten metallic ancient dragons by Muria’s side who were curiously observing him.
“We are both of the Dragon Race, there is no need for formality.” Seeing Sesa, who had evolved into a true dragon through his own efforts and without the dreadful nature of red dragons, Muria’s attitude was also very good. He respected those who are not content with mediocrity and change their own fate.
What followed was a polite, official conversation where Sesa, in his capacity as the king of the dragon people, spoke with Muria. His purpose for coming here in person was to seek cooperation for the advancement of his own established Kingdom of Red Wings.
For a country to grow stronger, it’s not enough to have just a few powerful individuals. It also needs other aspects, such as technology, population, economy, and so forth. The Kingdom of Red Wings is a unique country, its economic growth can be considered to be quite backward.
Because aside from a few merchants who are reckless with their wealth, there are not many who are willing to trade with them. With no outsiders, the development of the Kingdom of Red Wings is incredibly slow.
“So you want my assistance for your country to construct its economy and agriculture?” After listening attentively to the request put forward by the King of the Dragon People, Muria then surmised.
The predecessor of the Kingdom of Red Wings was a group of numerous Gnoll tribes scattered in the wild jungles of the northern territory of the Lockman Kingdom. Their agricultural and manufacturing techniques were rather primitive.
“I can assist the Kingdom of Red Wings, but what can you offer the Lockman Kingdom in return?” Muria asked very directly. He’s now acting as the ruler of a nation, not running a charity.
“For all the help you provide, I can offer double the value in rewards,” Sesa replied. His current problem was that he had money but no way to spend it, there were no decent merchant corps willing to trade with him.
“Not enough,” Muria slowly shook his head before continuing, “Add two more conditions, first, no matter how far your country develops or what happens, you must never invade the Lockman Kingdom. Second, when the Kingdom needs help, you must deploy the army for support and follow orders.”
“I can agree to the first request, but the second needs further negotiation,” Responding to Muria’s request, Sesa carefully considered for a moment before agreeing, although he had some objections to the second condition.
After a brief negotiation, the second condition was amended, as long as Muria remained in power, when assistance is needed, the Dragon King, Sesa, has to lead the army to help.
But after Muria’s abdication, the Kingdom of Red Wings only needs to adhere to the first condition, and will no longer follow the orders of the new king.
After sorting out official affairs, Muria asked the question that he and the surrounding ancient dragons desired to know, “Did you really evolve from a gnoll to what you are now?”
“Yes.” Sesa’s expression was composed; he didn’t mind having his past identity brought up.
“How did you manage to do that?” Muria asked curiously, he found it hard to imagine how a gnoll, whose dragon vein is so weak that it’s difficult to awaken, would become a pure-blooded red dragon.
“If you can’t answer it, never mind. Every creature has the right to keep their secrets.” Muria waved his hand, signaling the ancient dragons not to keep staring at Sesa.
“Actually, it’s not a big deal. It’s just a little implausible to say it out loud.” Sesa grinned, revealing the secret of his achievement.
“Originally, I was a Dragon Vein Mage, but was betrayed by someone and fell into a gnoll tribe. Because of my serious injuries that couldn’t be healed, as a last resort, I used a reincarnation spell to transfer my soul into a gnoll egg.”
