King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 349 - 349 344 Curse Spirit
Chapter 349: Chapter 344: Curse Spirit Chapter 349: Chapter 344: Curse Spirit First, Muria waved her hand and took Auston, who was beginning to stiffen under the pressure of the curse spirit, into the semi plane. Then she tread on the void, very calmly looking at the demonic shadow in front of her that would make any ordinary mortal tremble, and even had the leisure to look at its appearance and associate it with a fairy tale from her previous life.
The demonic shadow emerging from this Curse Book resembles the Genie in the fairy tale of her previous life, Aladdin. The upper half is solid, and the lower half is in a smoky state connected to an item.
However, the smoky end of Aladdin’s Genie was linked to a lamp, while the demonic shadow in front of Muria, whose upper body was almost identical to that of the Abyss Refining Demon, has its tail end connected to a metallic book wrapped in black Qi.
Moreover, Aladdin’s Genie would grant any wishes of whoever awakens it, but the one in front of Muria, without enough power and background, would kill anyone who provoked it.
“Caw! Ignorant and weak creature, so you want to be my master?” The curse spirit nurtured in the Book of Mourning looked at Muria maliciously, with black Qi pervading and gradually darkening the clear blue sky.
Looking at Muria’s current position from the ground towards the sky, it looked like a drop of ink falling into a picture full of beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, creating a harsh discord.
“Want?” Muria looked at the curse spirit, the corner of her mouth showing a trace of mockery, “I am already your master.”
“Caw Caw Caw!” On hearing Muria’s words, the ferocious and horrifying demonic shadow laughed loudly, as if it had heard some amusing joke, “Not even a legend yet, and wanting to be my master. What a pathetic and ignorant creature.”
“Clang!” With a piercing sound of metal collision, Muria, who was being ridiculed by the curse spirit, unsheathed the Seven Sins Blade without uttering a word, and slashed at its body, covered in layers of black Qi. Sparks flew.
A deep scar appeared on the front cover of the Book of Mourning, and the curse spirit let out a heartbreaking scream. The horrifying demonic shadow twisted violently, and even some spots disintegrated into black Qi.
“Behave and let me leave a spirit imprint.”
“Roar! Damn ant.” The curse spirit, who was in pain from Muria’s slash, roared and transformed into mighty black Qi resembling serpents rushing towards Muria.
A curse spirit evolves from the Book of Mourning, its body is the Curse Book, which should not have a sense of pain that the flesh creatures have. But Muria’s weapon has a soul destroying property, a swing of it made the curse spirit experience pain for the first time.
“Idiot!” Seeing the black Qi rushing towards her, Muria showed no fear and did not put up any defense or resistance, despite knowing that these black Qi were all sorts of curses.
Roar! Before these black Qi could touch Muria, a golden phantom of the Dragon King appeared behind her. With a roar, all the black Qi disintegrated, and the polluted blue sky was swept clean in an instant.
Ten Thousand Curses Invulnerability, only curses that could harm gods could affect Muria. Obviously, the Book of Mourning does not carry this level curse, or it wouldn’t be in her hands now.
“What exactly are you?” After the black Qi of the curse spirit was crushed by the Dragon King’s Primordial Blood within Muria’s body, an even more piercing scream resounded.
“Your master!” Hearing this scream, Muria reached out to grab the severely injured Curse Book. With her mental power extending, ignoring its weak resistance, she naturally left a spirit imprint within.
“Even if you leave a mark on me, I will not submit to you.” A few strands of black Qi slowly rose from the Curse Book, and with great difficulty, they condensed into a phantom image of a refining demon.
“Is that so?” Muria looked at the slowly healing slash scar on the metallic book cover, a hint of disdainful smile rippled across his face. He then raised the Seven Sins Blade in his hand and slashed it down again.
“Howl! Even if you destroy me, I will not yield to you, no one can control me, I crave freedom.” The Book Spirit wailed bitterly, embodying the spirit of a loyal knight who would rather die than surrender.
“Wow, who would have expected, a mere book spirit cherishing dreams of freedom.” Hearing these idealistic words from the Book Spirit, admiration flashed across Muria’s face, followed by another swing of his blade leaving a deep slash mark on the cover of The Curse Book.
“Clenk!” “Clenk!”… The rhythmic sound of slashing echoed in the high sky, carrying with it a unique melody. Each slash was initially accompanied by a piercing scream and stubborn words.
However, gradually, the screams dimmed into feeble wailing, the once staunchly defiant words were replaced by pleas for mercy.
“Master, stop the slashing, continue and I will surely die.” The Book Spirit, almost transparent and no bigger than a halfling, looked pathetically at Muria with a flattery tone, pleading for mercy, over the Curse Book that was densely engraved with scars.
“Weren’t you seeking freedom? Even if it meant destruction, isn’t it worth for the sake of liberty?” Muria cast a scornful side glance at the Book Spirit who had started pleading gloriously sometime ago.
Never overestimate oneself. This Book Spirit, after Muria’s fifth slash, let aside all pretences and started imploring Muria for mercy.
Each slash led to some part of its existence being erased. The fear of self-annihilation and resultant agony were too much for the Book Spirit to bear. It had never encountered a being like Muria who could ignore its curse.
The curse rendered ineffective, it was no threat to Muria, it couldn’t flee and could only be unrelentingly slashed by him. In the end, it had no choice but to beg for mercy.
“I withdraw my pursuit of freedom, Master. Now, I only wish to continue existing.” There was no deception, the Book Spirit expressed its most authentic thoughts to Muria, the very thoughts that arose under the threat of Muria’s blade.
“Are you willing to behave?” Muria asked threateningly, holding the Seven Sins Blade, signaling that he will not hesitate to strike again, given a slightest slip.
“Yes, I am willing.” The Book Spirit meekly nodded like a pecking rooster.
“Good, then trace the whereabouts of the owners of these scales.” Muria waved out the Five-Color Dragon Scales still to be discovered.
“No problem, Master.” The heavy Curse Book fluttered open its pages, made of demon-refined skin, where one after another dragon scales were dropped and transformed into a medium, allowing the images of their original owners to manifest within.
Seeing one after another vivid, agile dragon shadows appearing on the book pages, a satisfied smile spread over Muria’s face.
“Do you wish to curse and kill these Giant Dragons? Master, as per your desire, I can cause their demise in pain and fear at any time.”
“They are my subordinates!”
