King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 341 - 341 336 Trial

Chapter 341: Chapter 336: Trial Chapter 341: Chapter 336: Trial “Bloody bastards! I wondered why beasts were attacking the city without reason. Turns out it was these sons of bitches that triggered it.”

“Damn half-bloods, give me back my brother’s life!”

“I’m stuck in this shit because of these arseholes.”

…Once Muria communicated in the Common Language, anyone with half a brain linked it to the situation. Glancing at the two enormous eggs wrapped in flames by her side, they could somewhat guess what happened.

Someone had stolen the eggs of these terrifying Fierce Birds and brought them into the city. As a result, they were surrounded by monsters and forced to fight the Beast Tide.

Because of these disgraceful thieves, the entire human race in the city had to bear the wrath of the Beast Tide. Countless people had died horrific deaths at the hands of these monsters.

“Take back your offspring,” Muria manipulated the invisible wind hands to hold up the two eggs and presented them to the agitated Wind Phoenix Descendants couple.

“Golden Dragon Lord, how do you plan on dealing with these despicable human thieves?” The couple each stretched out a claw, catching an egg, and then angrily stared at the seven bound humans by Muria’s side.

Instead of answering the couple’s questions, Muria looked at the city walls where the enraged guardsmen and adventurers were kneeling amidst corpses.

Seeing these humans and monsters collapsed before her Dragon Prestige, Muria patted her head and started to fade her aura, allowing them all to recover their ability to move.

“All of you, stop right there!” As soon as they regained their ability to move, some humans and monsters prepared to fight once again.

Muria helplessly used her power again to suppress the situation. These guys were seeing red with rage. She had to use force even with her presence there.

“The war is over. Stop this meaningless slaughter. All of you, back off!” Muria held the Staff of the End. With a slight wave forward, all monsters on the city wall were lifted by a gust of wind and thrown off the wall.

Then, she told the surviving people on the wall—the humans who had lost companions, brothers, superiors, or subordinates—about the question the Wind Phoenix Descendants couple asked her, in their Common Language.

“People guarding the city, these two just asked me how to deal with these seven thieves who stole their offspring. Do you think the punishment is appropriate?”

The already enraged humans looked at each other and suggested various brutal execution methods.

“Hang them up and strangle them.”

“Strangling is too lenient for them, use the Iron Maiden.”

“No, catch a Blood Clan member and turn them into blood slaves. Hang them on a cross, splash holy water on them, then let them turn into ashes under the Divine Radiance.”

“Summon a demon and hand them over to it.”

Several types of punishment were spewed from their mouths—anything from common law to, finally, some so cruel that even Muria felt shocked, fueled by their anger at the seven thieves.

Honestly, stealing the offspring or eggs of a monster is something most adventurers have done. These seven thieves, who stole the eggs of a Soul Intent Level beast, made a quite impressive accomplishment.

However, they brought the aggrieved party to the city after stealing, pushing all the humans in the city into a crisis of life and death, which is unforgivable. You caused trouble and you must bear the consequences. Why involve unrelated people?

“What do you think of these punishments?” Hearing the increasingly cruel punishments from the bottom, Muria turned her head to look at the brightly colored Wind Phoenix Descendants couple.

“Humans are still such a cruel race, it disgusts me.” Despite not understanding some of the terms, the couple felt frightened by just the few they did understand.

It made them wonder, how could humans do this even to their own kind? In the end, racial differences created different sets of values.

“So, how about I hand these thieves over to the humans for judgment, would that be acceptable?”

“Yes, we can.” After a glance at the raging humans on the city wall, the couple agreed immediately. At most, the thieves would meet their death by their claws. There were far fewer kinds of games they could play compared to humans. In a sense, it was a lesser punishment for the thieves.”

“I, Muria, will act as the judge in this dispute.” With a wave of her magic wand, Muria drained the formidable abilities of the seven thieves and tossed them to the survivors on the city wall who were already burning with rage.

“You, the victims, act as executioners.”

…Shrill screams echoed off the city wall. Under the hatred of the survivors who had lost their loved ones, the thieves rapidly turned into something not human-shaped.

This time, the casualties caused by the monster attack were all blamed on these seven thieves, only on them.

“Are you satisfied now?” When the seven thieves had been beaten to the point where only bone fragments were left, Muria asked the Wind Phoenix Descendants couple, “The culprits are dead, the rest here are innocent humans. You should depart with your offspring and your monster minions.”

Without further bargaining, the Wind Phoenix Descendants couple took all the monsters and retreated. Although their original plan was to level the city, the appearance of the Golden Dragon rendered it impossible.

“What did you think about the outcome of my judgement? Human experts.” As Muria watched the ground shake when the Beast Tide retreated, she turned her gaze somewhere within the city.

“Thank you for your assistance, Lord Muria.” A young man with black hair and ten faint, black Soul Intent Circles behind him appeared in Muria’s sight, gently bowing.

“It was a very fair trial. You made the criminals receive their deserved punishments.” Seeing Muria’s silence, the young black-haired man added, “The minstrels will be more than happy to spread the story of what happened here to all the cities around.”

On hearing such flattery, Auston under Muria’s feet turned his head slightly, rolled his eyes, and showed a look of disdain.

“This is what I should have done.” The young boy with black hair and golden pupils humbly smiled, seemingly unconcerned with his act of saving the city.
