King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 340 - 340 335 Going to Hell
Chapter 340: Chapter 335: Going to Hell Chapter 340: Chapter 335: Going to Hell “Is this what it feels like casting a spell as a Legendary Mage?” Muria, holding aloft the Staff of the End, showed a hint of surprise on his face as power continuously welled up from within him. The power surged into the staff and raised a five-coloured barrier of spiritual light that covered the city, blocking all elemental attacks from the monsters.
Muria had acquired the control over a Semi Plane opened by Elemental Master Heinal, the tower spirit of the Legendary Mage. This was an invisible yet tangible power.
With this power, the Semi Plane’s strength is added, which is one of the reasons why Legendary Mages are so potent. A mage with a Semi Plane need not worry about their magical power, they just need to cast spells freely.
Of course, near limitless magical power is only one of the Legendary Mage’s abilities. What truly establishes a Legendary Mage’s status is their wisdom—the ability to create targeted spells against enemies.
The control of a Semi Plane, requiring no external assistance and fully controlled by oneself, is only possible for Legends. It requires a powerful soul or even more fundamental things.
Below the Legend, one can only use and control a Semi Plane through external assistance, such as attaching this power to a weapon and receiving the Semi Plane’s benefits through the weapon. However, this is not as direct as Muria’s fusion control.
Indeed, although Muria was only at the Soul Intent Level 2 Peak and was still distant from a Legend, his soul essence could match or even surpass a Legend. He was qualified for fusion control of a Semi Plane.
Almost endless power was available for Muria to spend, enabling him to erect this exaggeratedly extensive and defensive barrier. After blocking all attacks, Muria did not attack the fierce birds or monsters before him.
He was not human. Although, because of his past life and Golden Dragon lineage, his judgment on some matters might be human-like. However, he had not forgotten the fact that he was an inhuman existence; he could not just side with the humans without questioning right and wrong.
“Phoenix offspring, why are you attacking a human city?” Looking at the splendid flying beasts before him, Muria asked in fluent Phoenix language.
These were two birds with Phoenix bloodlines, but their bloodlines were not pure, they could only be considered as a lower species of the Phoenix. Compared with the Phoenix in the Titans’ Clan Land, they were far behind.
“None of your business, move away!” Seeing Muria, who suddenly appeared and blocked their attacks, the two birds stared at Muria with some dread. They could tell that Muria was not human.
“Tell me your reason for attacking the humans, Phoenix heirs.” Facing the two furious birds, Muria released his Dragon Prestige; an overwhelming mild golden power surged from Muria, reeking superiority and disdain, and covering everything in Muria’s sight.
“Roar!” “Howl!” …The humans and monsters fighting on the city walls, after being swept by Muria’s unique Dragon Prestige, froze, and then involuntarily knelt or crawled. This was not their wish, but their bodily instinct, unable to resist the pressure from the world’s highest bloodline.
“Golden Dragon?” Under Muria’s Dragon Prestige, two fierce birds also momentarily froze but quickly recovered and did not lose their flying ability, falling to the ground and shivering as the Gold-Class Monsters behind them did.
“Now, can you tell me? Phoenix heirs.” Muria asked with a smirk after showing his power.
The two Phoenix offspring were silent and when they saw Muria reveal his Dragon Prestige, there was no way they could attack the city behind him unless they convinced Muria.
“Honourable Golden Dragon, my unborn child was stolen by a group of filthy, despicable, disgraceful human thieves. They are hiding in the city behind you.”
“I see.” Muria furrowed his brows. He stopped the Phoenix offspring and asked about their attack on the city because he was sure there must be a reason behind it.
Normally, Gold-Class creatures are intelligent enough to match humans; these two birds with Phoenix bloodlines were no exception.
Such intelligent beings would not attack a human city without reason; it offers them little advantage. They were not Nine-Tailed Evil Dragons, capable of devouring souls.
“Golden Dragon Lord, may we ask you to step aside and let us find our stolen offspring?” Said the two Soul Intent Second Tier birds with Phoenix blood, their bright seven-coloured feathers with leaping flames, evidently, were ready for a possible losing fight against Muria, if he insisted on blocking them.
“Does the so-called righteous dragon that detests crime want to protect these thieving criminals?”
“Of course not; those who steal the offspring of others should go to Hell and undergo the devil’s lashings for ten thousand years.” Muria said with an air of icy finality.
“However,” Muria changed his tone, “The theft of your offspring must be attributed to a few humans only. Most humans in this city are innocent; they should not bear your wrath.”
“Golden Dragon Lord, you are still trying to shield the humans.”
“No, I would not shield criminals. Can you give me some time? I’ll find your lost offspring, root out the criminals who have stolen them, and give you a satisfying explanation.”
“You have our consent.” The two Phoenix subspecies looked at each other and communicated using mental power. Had Muria not appeared, they would have slaughtered all the humans in the city out of anger. However, that was clearly not feasible now.
“Give me one of your feathers.”
…With the two beautiful seven-coloured feathers, Muria turned around, gazed impassively down at the humans beneath him, his resplendent gold eyes were cold, indifferent, he reached out, and the two feathers, transformed into a beautiful light band, flew into the city. He saw that the light band flew into a magnificent building, “Adventurers’ Guild,” Muria ignored the inscription and directly lifted the building’s roof, extracting two large eggs surrounded by flames, and seven humans.
“So it’s you, thieves who brought the disaster to this city.” Muria looked at the seven humans with cold eyes, his heart brimming with murderous intent.
Upon hearing Muria’s statement in the Common Language, the city walls stirred, followed by various slurs…
