Chapter 330 - 330 325 The Origin of Disaster

Chapter 330: Chapter 325: The Origin of Disaster Chapter 330: Chapter 325: The Origin of Disaster “So there were five robberies in total and my grandmother just happened to be present at each of them?” Muria said incredulously as he listened to the far from enchanting story of how Bronia had met his grandmother.

“Your grandmother Yarista’s ability to conceal her presence is incredibly strong. Unless she makes a move, I can’t recognize her true form and simply mistake her for a human.” Bronia responded in a somewhat exasperated tone.

“My grandmother is at the scene of every single one of the robberies you committed in different locations.” Muria stared at Bronia, the ancient red dragon, who was now lying down and telling him these old stories, a peculiar expression on his face.

It’s just a coincidence that his grandmother was present at each of the robberies carried out in five different locations, especially when one party managed to conceal their presence completely?

If it were once or twice, it could be considered a coincidence. But as the occurrences pile up, it’s no longer a coincidence. Too many coincidences create an inevitable pattern.

“Do you think it’s not a coincidence either?” Seeing the subtle look on Muria’s face, Bronia blew a puff of black smoke from her nostrils, filling the area with a strong smell of sulfur.

“But I didn’t realize it at the time. After being beaten up by your grandmother five times, I still naively thought it was just my bad luck that led me to encounter your grandmother every time I committed a robbery.”

“Have you figured it out yet, why you kept running into my grandmother back then?”

“I’ve got it.” Bronia said, her face expressing a hint of remorse. “After your grandmother beat me for the fifth time and asked me if I was willing to follow her, I agreed.

After that, I asked her why she always showed up when I was robbing someone.

Then, she told me that she marked me at our first encounter. So, I always encountered her because of that mark every time I went for a robbery.

Your grandmother told me she was interested in me the first time we met. She wanted to take me in and try something different.”

“What kind of attempt?” Muria asked curiously, guessing that this may be the reason why his grandmother, a golden dragon, decided to adopt a red dragon.

“Crystal dragons can take in and educate white dragons, in an attempt to transform them into a benevolent dragon. Similarly, a red dragon, under the right guidance, could also turn into a benevolent dragon,” A surprising yet logical answer floated into Muria’s ears.

“So that’s the way it is.” Realization dawned on Muria. He finally understood why his mother, Dragon mother Atreus, had given him six red dragon eggs when he was a child.

This explains that his grandmother, the mother of the Golden Dragon mother, had conducted similar experiments long ago. They already knew that red dragons could be trained to counter their innate evil character and become benevolent dragons, or at least to be not so wicked.

The ancient red dragon Bronia in front of him is a result of his grandmother’s trials. The title of “creator of the forest,” bestowed upon her by the other creatures on the continent, speaks volumes.

“After that, I started traveling with your grandmother.” Bronia’s eyes revealed a reminiscing look, “Yarista taught me magic, the languages of various races, as well as ancient rituals. She taught me many things that a red dragon would never have the chance to learn in a lifetime.”

“….” Watching the reminiscing Bronia, Muria did not utter a word, sitting there quietly listening. He too wanted to hear the legend of his own grandmother.

“I have traveled to different human kingdoms disguised as a human with your grandmother; I’ve done things that no other five-colored dragon would normally do.”

Upon saying this, a self-mocking expression appeared on Bronia’s face, “Maintaining justice, fighting evil. Would you believe it? I, a red dragon that has infiltrated the human kingdom, have been doing what you golden dragons like doing, and kept doing it for two hundred years.

I, with your grandmother, resisted the invasion of demons into Elasia, killed devils lurking among the human ruling class, and fought against the Evil Deity Church… I have done with Yarista all the things that you benevolent dragons would do.”

Muria is all ears, listening quietly. He finally understood why the deeds of Bronia before she became the ancient dragon have remained unknown. Even if they were revealed, no one would believe them.

“That was the most fulfilling time of my life. I’m grateful to fate for leading me to Yarista when I committed my first robbery. I met the best dragon at the best time.”

Reflecting on her past, anger suddenly flashed in Bronia’s eyes. She raised her body and roared,

“But I also hate fate. Why did it allow Yarista to meet that source of disaster, your grandfather Dimos?”

“Well, all that’s in the past.” Seeing the furious ancient red dragon, Muria took a few awkward steps back. It seemed like Bronia held feelings for his grandmother that transcended gender.

“Hmph!” Seeing Auston shaking like a leaf in the magma pool nearby, Bronia started to calm down.

“Could you tell me how my grandparents met?” Bronia was a living history book. She had witnessed many legendary stories firsthand, including the meeting of Muria’s grandparents.

“Hmm, how else could they have met? Due to a heinous group of believers from the Cult of the Evil God, they both received investigation tasks from the Church of the Good God.

And through this investigation, they got to know each other. There’s an attraction between ancestral dragons that’s beyond my comprehension.

In less than a month, your grandmother had abandoned me, whom she had been followed by for nearly two hundred years, and spent all her time with your grandfather, not caring about my feelings.”

“Ugh!” Muria and Troy took a few steps back in silence, watching the ancient red dragon filled with jealousy. Could she blame her grandmother for falling in love with a dragon of the same species who was equally, if not more, impressive?

“There’s a question I want to ask.” After Bronia finished venting her feelings, Muria couldn’t help but ask, “Why do you call my grandfather the ‘source of calamity’?”

“Because he was a natural born disaster. Ever since your grandmother Yarista and Dimos started traveling together, I almost always found myself fighting alongside them.

Even when we were just sitting doing nothing, problems would come looking for us. All kinds of inexplicably strange things.

For example, triggering an almost broken teleportation array and entering an ancient relic sealed for thousands of years…

Sometimes the ground would suddenly collapse while we were walking, revealing a passage to the dark region.”
