Chapter 322 - 322 317 Facing the Dragon

Chapter 322: Chapter 317: Facing the Dragon? Chapter 322: Chapter 317: Facing the Dragon? “Muria, how have you become like this?” Seeing Muria in a state of drowsy projection, Renata’s face showed a worrisome expression. In front of Muria, she reverted back to the petite weak-looking dragon mother she was.

“I consumed the hearts of three Elemental Lords and should have entered a sleeping state to digest them, but I can’t leave you all alone.” Muria, standing on the ruins of the castle, gave a helpless smile, “So, this is how I look now.”

“Muria.” Upon hearing Muria’s words, the little dragon mother Renata’s eyes were immediately filled with tears, seemingly touched by what he said, “You don’t need to worry about us, we are doing well now. So, you better go to sleep soon and stop pushing yourself.”

“No need to sleep.” Muria shook his head, “I have located your positions and will or you guys could come to me directly.”

“Muria, we can’t leave now.” Renata’s face showed a bit worryingly, “Moreover, without a legendary ancient dragon at your side, you should not come to find us, you can’t take us with you.”

“Tell me, what has happened to you all since you’ve arrived on this continent?” Hearing Renata’s words, the originally sleepy Muria raised his head, his eyes slightly opening some more, as he was too tired now.

“Your mother, Archmage Atris, teleported us to the territory of the Ancient Red Dragon Bronia, and as soon as we arrived, we were discovered by Lady Bronia.”

“So, you are all serving this ancient red dragon now?” Muria’s eyes opened even wider, regaining some energy. His dragons seemed to be swayed by an ancient red dragon, how could he not be energized?

“…Yes, Lady Bronia protected us from harm, and in return, we serve her.” After hesitating for a while, the little dragon mother Renata answered.

“You became the minions of an Ancient Red Dragon?” A hint of anger appeared on Muria’s face, the dragons he painstakingly raised are being used as tools by others, how could he bear it.

“Muria, don’t be angry, we four are the ones who shoulder the fights and charges for Bronia. Renata is having a good time under Bronia. She has obtained the command of all monster races under this Ancient Red Dragon Bronia. All dragons seeking Bronia’s protection must follow her orders and arrangements.” Seeing Muria’s anger, the Blue Dragon who had been standing by spoke, with his face showing a hint of envy and jealousy.

“What?” Hearing this answer, Muria’s face showed a trace of astonishment. Having the power to command the monsters under an ancient red dragon? This was truly like a fairy tale, somewhat unbelievable.

Red Dragons are greedy, brutal, and obsessed with power. It’s hard to imagine a powerful Red Dragon handing over its power to a smaller dragon of the same race. Unless it is a different species of dragon.

“How did you manage to do that?” Muria asked curiously. Even if it was the indifferent different species of dragon, it shouldn’t have handed over its power to a Red Dragon that it has only known for a few months, this is not reasonable. This dragon must be either stupid or mentally broken.

But how could a dragon who has lived for over a thousand years be stupid? That’s nonsense, dragons of this age are all sly, or else they would not have lived to this age.

“…” Hearing Muria’s question, Renata showed a bit of embarrassment. She seemed a little shy to answer.

“Go on, how did you manage to have an Ancient Red Dragon hand over its power to you?” Seeing Renata’s face, Muria showed a hint of subtle emotion, it seemed like something bad had happened.

But Bronia’s name sounded like a female Red Dragon’s name. So, it should not be what he was worried about.

Looking at the hesitating Renata, the Blue Dragon on the side, with full of jealousy, interrupted, “How else would she get power? She sold her own brother to get where she is now.”

“Selling my brother?” Interest appears on Muria’s face, he has an inkling of what might be happening, “Auston?”

On the Osroni Subcontinent, only two Red Dragons were exiled to this land, one was the baby female dragon Renata, and the other was her eldest brother, Auston, the most unrestrained Red Dragon under Muria, also known to possess the greatest physical strength.

“Yes, that fellow Auston, I don’t know how he stumbled into such luck, the Ancient Red Dragon Bronia became smitten with him at first sight. After taking us back to her lair, she proclaimed to all the monsters and dragons under her command that Auston was her new dragon mate. Hence, as Auston’s younger sister, Renata has gained the greatest power, second only to Lady Bronia herself.”

“What a bizarre occurrence.” Upon hearing of Auston’s plight, Muria smacked his lips, he never would have dreamed his dragon would experience something so outlandish.

Upon consideration, however, it was indeed a possibility. Firstly, the Dragon Race was known to be a creature with a formidable libido, and this held true for both sexes.

Moreover, this desire seemed to grow stronger with age and never decreased. The dragons’ physical prowess increased with age and never dwindled, even in their old age; they never reached a point where their will exceeded their capabilities.

Ancient Dragons and above were unable to bear offspring, but not due to a loss of fertility. It was because their existence was at such a high level of life.

Dragon Empress Tiamat possesses a multitude of Ancient Dragons ranked Five Color Dragons, if these dragons were not competitive, they would not have been in Tiamat’s leadership.

So, Auston, the Red Dragon under Muria who is known for his physical fortitude being picked by an Ancient Red Dragon to be its mate, wasn’t something excessively far-fetched.

After all, the dragons raised by Muria were all worthy of their kind’s pursuit. They possess physical strength and wisdom far superior to their kin, accompanied by a magic ability that was no less than their own power. Such dragons were unquestionably hot commodities.

In a smoking active volcano, amidst boiling crimson gold magma, stands a grand stone palace. The blazing magma splashes upon it, yet it does not bear a single change—it is submerged in the magma.

In this palace, immersed in a lava pool buzzing with heat waves, a roughly fifty-meter-long Red Dragon lays, its half-closed eyes giving it a somewhat downcast look. Its slightly emaciated dragon body seems to tell the tale of its tragic circumstances in the past few months.

“Auston, have you rested sufficiently? If you have, come over to me quickly.”

From deep within the black palace, a languid voice echoes out. Upon hearing this voice, the Red Dragon soaking in the magma instantly shivers, fear showing in its eyes.

“No, I need to rest for a few more days.” Auston stretches out his claw, feeling his continually thinning dragon body, he yells back towards the massive shadow in the depth of the palace.

“No, you have rested enough.” The languid voice asserts in an undisputable tone. Following that, a giant dragon claw extends, grabbing Auston by the tail. Ignoring Auston’s weak struggle, he is dragged towards the depths of the palace.

“Don’t do this, Bronia. There have already been three kingdoms declaring war and attacking your territory. You should be leading the war.”

“There is no need, your sister is enough to handle it.”
