King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 319 - 319 314 Promotion
Chapter 319: Chapter 314: Promotion Chapter 319: Chapter 314: Promotion “Much of it is knowledge that has already become obsolete,” Mureya put down the metallic book in his hand and helplessly shook his head amidst the vast library, “However, they can still serve as references and possess great research value.”
“Mureya…” Standing next to Mureya, the middle-aged mage-shaped Tower Spirit was about to speak, but paused. Even though it had submitted to Mureya under his strong persuasion and gave him the power to control the semi plane, it still felt somewhat uneasy addressing him as master.
“Just address me as my followers do.” Mureya glanced at the Tower Spirit, which was more human-like than humans themselves. “You don’t need to call me master.”
“Prince Mureya, after such a long time, some of the knowledge my former master had is bound to have become outdated and obsolete.”
The Tower Spirit had no peculiar response to Mureya’s remark. Knowledge is not like a bloodline; the older, the better. As long as there is no break in the transfer of knowledge, each generation would surpass the previous one; it’s impossible for a generation to be inferior to its predecessor.
“The complete manufacturing technology of the Floating City! From the lowest-level Steel Golems to the highest-level Legendary Statues. Also, the optimization studies of various magics…” Mureya looked at the orderly set of bookshelves in front of him and his face broke into a hearty smile. “This is the most valuable treasure of this semi-plane.”
“You’ve done a good job.” Mureya’s words of praise at the crowded bookshelves were sincere and straightforward. Throughout the long years, where most of the metal golems had already decayed, for the Tower Spirit to preserve all of the Legendary Mage Heinal’s collected books, it must have taken tremendous effort.
“This is what I should do, Prince Mureya. Protecting the books is my top priority.”
“Hmm. This instruction should be preserved forever.” Mureya nodded, then looked at the Tower Spirit, “The Mage Tower is severely damaged, do you have any suggestions for repair?”
“Well, Prince Mureya, since I had prepared for it to be destroyed long ago, I didn’t exert any effort to preserve many things,” Tower Spirit Eino reluctantly replied.
“So, you don’t have any plans for the repair now?”
“If we have enough golems, the Mage Tower could be repaired,” said the Tower Spirit, spreading its hands helplessly, “But now, there is not a single golem left in the Mage Tower for operation. Initially, there were over a dozen battle golems, but they were all destroyed by your Majesty…”
“All right, I understand,” Mureya rubbed his forehead helplessly, “Does the Mage Tower still have the capacity to continue producing golems? There should be a perfect golem production line.”
“Your Majesty, there were originally twenty golem production lines in the Mage Tower, which could produce Bronze to Gold-level golems for battle, production, and maintenance. But all these production devices have broken down.
Moreover, even if they had not broken down, without enough magi craftsmen to operate them, we are incapable of producing another golem, even if it’s of the lowest level.”
“No people, no equipment, and not enough resources,” Mureya bit his lip, appearing a bit frustrated.
If the Tower Spirit hadn’t been so kind and transported out the Cloud Giants in the semi-plane and the many humans who served Legendary Mage Heinal.
Perhaps now he could have acquired a sizable Cloud Giant Tribe and humans scattered throughout the semi-plane.
But Mureya couldn’t reprimand Tower Spirit Eino for this. Its original intent was not wrong. Living in a semi-plane with incomplete rules has no future.
“Forget it.” Mureya temporarily abandoned the idea of repairing the Mage Tower, as it was impossible at present. Therefore, he decided to deal with the rewards he had gained from the Elemental Pool.
“Eino, where is the laboratory of the Mage Tower? I need the most advanced one as I need to process the hearts of three Element Lords.”
…
A cyan heart of Wind Element, wrapped in a hurricane; a purple heart of Thunder Element, filled with thunder; a red heart of Fire Element, with flames burning on it, resembling a small sun.
Dressed in Saintly Imperial Abyss, Mureya’s face turned serious as he stared at the three legendary-level Elemental Hearts before him.
“Prince Mureya, what are you intending to do?” Tower Spirit Eino’s figure took shape beside Mureya.
“Eat them. Increase my strength quickly.” Mureya’s face was calm as he answered.
“Your Majesty, I must inform you, these three Elemental Hearts contain energy that has reached the legendary seventh rank. Even though your bloodline is noble, there is still a chance that they might burst you if you consume them.”
“That’s why I need to process them.” Mureya looked around the laboratory filled with various magic arrays, instruments for assisting experiments, and various unique specimens.
But most of them were either damaged or decomposed. Nonetheless, the laboratory’s defensive array remained intact. As it was the legendary-level array, its materials were of high quality, hence were able to withstand the erosion of time. Moreover, this array was designed to defend from within, not from without.
…After staying awake for eight consecutive days and nights without a single break, Mureya didn’t step out of the laboratory at all, and was finally able to achieve his desired outcome.
“Finally, it’s processed.” Dressed in Saintly Imperial Abyss armor and even wearing his faceguard, Mureya was satisfied as he looked at the three Elemental Hearts.
He was worried that he might accidentally detonate any of the highly concentrated energy crystals due to a mistake, but fortunately, no significant error had occurred. Even more fortunate was that the stability of the Elemental Hearts was much higher than he expected.
He activated the element energy inside them and carved three layers of seals on their shells. Or, more metaphorically, he established three layers of valves to control their energy output to the external world, limiting it within the range he could bear, so as to perfectly absorb these three Element Hearts that suited his element attribute.
After processing the Elemental Hearts, Mureya didn’t swallow them immediately but called for White Tiger Troy and many of his tamed Five Colored Dragons. He had some instructions to give.
“Troy, if I cannot control myself and fall into a deep sleep, I am trusting you to guard me.”
Mureya looked seriously at the pure white big cat in front of him. Dragons advance in power through slumber, and even Mureya, who absorbs the same attribute power through non-normal advancement, follows this rituality.
Perhaps it might take an even longer time to digest. Yet Mureya did not want to waste time sleeping away. He wasn’t a pure-blood Dragon, and he also possessed the Titan Bloodline. Hence, he wanted to attempt, whether he can maintain a clear consciousness while digesting the Elemental Hearts and accomplish the power enhancement.
“Of course, I can.” Under Troy’s watchful eyes, Mureya in his Titan form swallowed the three Elemental Hearts.
