King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 316 - 316 311
Chapter 316: 311 Chapter 316: 311 “Phew!” Heavy panting sounded as Muria, holding the Damo Sword and Seven Sins Blade, looked somewhat helplessly at the Elemental Lord not far away. Even under a hundred-fold gravity, Muria’s speed was reduced by more than half, yet he was still faster than the Earth Elemental Lord.
Therefore, he could still attack the Earth Elementals as previously and slash away as he wished. The only downside was that his physical strength was significantly drained, so much so that Muria felt exhausted after merely an hour of attack.
Moreover, the Earth Elemental Lord was a being of the Legendary Level. Even though it seemed to be in a poor state now, its defensive power didn’t reduce substantially.
Muria looked rather helplessly at the Elemental Lord, not far from him, who had a figure exceeding sixty meters, covered in slash scars. Beneath its feet, an astonishing number of Earth Elementals surged forth, clinging to its body and repairing its wounds one by one.
“I can’t hack it down.” Muria spoke, watching as the slash marks on the Earth Elemental Lord’s body gradually became shallower and slowly disappeared, returning the creature to its original state. Such defensive strength along with its healing power made Muria feel rather helpless.
The Elemental body of the Earth Elemental Lord was far more robust than any of the previously encountered Elemental Elders. Muria had no idea how many hundreds of sword slashes he had landed upon it, but he simply couldn’t kill it.
“Yingdila, you might as well stay out of this.” Muria looked at Yingdila, who was at his side, pushing her to step aside. She had just transformed into a Nine-Tailed Evil Dragon and had participated in the combat, but she couldn’t even claw off a piece of stone from the Elemental Lord’s body.
Compounded by the suppression from a hundred-fold gravity, she was punched by the Elemental Lord. The fierce Dragon Body was nearly blasted to pieces. Then, she again demonstrated her astonishing healing ability by recovering immediately after her Dragon Body shattered.
“Fine, this food is too tough.” Upon hearing Muria’s call to retreat, Yingdila readily agreed. She had just experienced it herself – she could leave a tooth mark on the Earth Elemental Lord, but the slow-moving Lord didn’t give her a chance to tear a piece off.
“Keep slashing!” Muria took a deep breath and charged towards the Elemental Lord with his sword and blade once again. His Spear of the Sun Chaser was still lodged in the Elemental Lord’s chest, inflicting continuing damage.
“Clang!” With the tremulous sound of swords, as Muria charged towards the Elemental Lord, large Earth spikes emerged from the ground one by one, shooting towards Muria.
Simultaneously, within thousands of meters around the Elemental Lord, numerous Earth Elementals occasionally condensed into giant stone balls, smashing towards Muria from out of nowhere.
This was the Earth Elemental Lord, manipulating the Earth Elementals to attack as it wished. As for defense, it didn’t require it – even Muria, holding his exclusive weapons, was now having trouble breaking through.
“I can only wear it down slowly.” Muria shattered three earth spikes that had shot out from the ground with a single sword sweep. After destroying a huge stone ball which had suddenly condensed nearby, he charged up to the Earth Elemental Lord’s side.
A series of sharp flashes flit by, and, on the slow-raising arm of the Lord, which it tried to use as a guard, Muria left two deep slash marks.
Due to gravity suppression, Muria’s attack speed was significantly slower, but even so, he had still managed to hit a couple of dozens of consecutive attacks using both the sword and the blade in just a moment.
Every single attack was on the same spot as the previous one, hence leaving these two deep slash marks.
“This defensive power is outrageous.” After the slashes, Muria immediately leapt to the side. “Boom!” Just as he dodged, the Elemental Lord’s fist smashed into the ground where Muria had been standing, creating a huge stone pit.
After such a long battle, Muria had fully understood the Elemental Lord’s attack mode, which was not very diverse but enough nonetheless.
Not everyone had Muria’s physical strength to adequately move around within the gravitational field that the Elemental Lord was emitting and relentlessly attack.
Keep in mind, even Yingdila, transformed into a Nine-Tailed Evil Dragon, couldn’t even fly within the gravitational field released by a few Elemental Elders.
Not including the Titans and the Blazing Sky God Descendants, Legendary Dragon species like these are clearly cheating. Amongst the Soul Intent Level, the physical prowess of the Nine-Tailed Evil Dragon was considered at the very top. If even they struggled, one could imagine the plight of average Soul Intent Level beings in the Elemental Lord’s gravitational domain.
Suppressed to immobility by a hundredfold gravity, they would then be smashed to death by the Elemental Lord’s Elemental attacks. This was the usual fate for a Soul Intent Level being fighting against an Elemental Lord.
There aren’t many Soul Intent Level beings like Muria who can circle the Elemental Lord, attacking at will. After all, possessing physical strength capable of resisting a hundredfold gravity was not enough; one also needed weapons that could break through the Elemental Lord’s defense.
“It’s really hard to fight!” After dodging the Elemental Lord’s punch, Muria darted to its back and attempted a direct backstab, plunging his Damo sword into its back.
“Clang!” Only half of the blade managed to pierce its body. The hardness of the Elemental Lord’s body was beyond belief.
“Troublesome!” Upon witnessing this, Muria cursed under his breath before immediately jumping away again, dodging the Elemental Lord’s punch that came after it turned around.
He didn’t wish to test the elemental lord’s strength. Yingdila had already tried it once – her Dragon Body was nearly blown into pieces, which said it all.
“This is really tricky!” Muria, whose chest was heaving more and more rapidly, rushed forward again, tangled with the Elemental Lord.
If it were not for his weapons possessing a Soul-destroying attack feature, then Muria would have left with Yingdila a long time ago. Every single hit of Muria’s caused unsalvageable soul damage to the Elemental Lord.
Compared to the Elemental Lord’s mighty soul, these injuries were minor – like a small knife’s scratch on a human body. It was considered negligible.
Even in its present abnormal state, the Elemental Lord ignored these soul injuries. But just because it ignored them did not mean Muria couldn’t feel them. These injuries, insignificant to the Elemental Lord, made Muria see hope in defeating it and justified his perseverance.
…As time gradually passed, Muria’s breathing became increasingly heavier, but his eyes were filled with excitement because of the two intersecting X-shaped slash marks, nearly three meters deep, on the Elemental Lord’s chest.
For the first time, Muria had cut such deep slash marks. Due to the continuously accumulating injuries on the soul, the Elemental Lord’s condition declined yet again. Its bodily defense was far less substantial than before, and the decrease had also affected the Elemental Lord’s attack ability. The soul injuries were affecting it comprehensively.
After an unknown period, Muria pierced the head of the Elemental Lord with his Damo Sword in hand. “Roar!” The Elemental Lord, on the verge of death, let out a painful cry.
In the end, the Elemental Lord, which was in a poor state, was ultimately worn out to death by Muria.
