Chapter 310 - 310 305 The Abnormal Semi Plane
Chapter 310: Chapter 305: The Abnormal Semi Plane Chapter 310: Chapter 305: The Abnormal Semi Plane Silhouette Gold, the most suitable legendary metal for the Undead. Muria had originally taken a few pieces casually from the treasure vault of the Golden Dragon Mother, intending to keep it for future use. But for him, this was the most useless legendary metal.
Now it seemed that his earlier decision was right. Even the least suitable legendary metal could come in handy at certain times – like now. Muria planned to test Yingdila’s appetite with this legendary metal to see how far she could go.
If she could swallow even the legendary metal, then it would certainly confirm that there’s nothing in this world she can’t eat.
Under Muria’s expectant gaze, Yingdila put the piece of Silhouette Gold that Muria tossed into her mouth. “Crack!” A crisp metallic collision sound was heard. To Muria’s delight, there were no changes to the Silhouette Gold under Yingdila’s white teeth – it was not turned into the same fate as those of the high-grade extraordinary metals.
“It’s so hard!” Yingdila frowned at the Silhouette Gold in her hand. After carefully examining it, she swallowed the dark metal whole under Muria’s speechless gaze.
“…” Muria felt his heart jerk violently. Although Silhouette Gold was useless to him, it was a coveted casting material for those powerful Liches. He could trade it with powerful Undead creatures such as the Legendary Peak Lich, Ghost Ship Captain Barbosa.
“Ugh!” However, quickly Yingdila spat out the Silhouette Gold she had just swallowed with an obvious look of dissatisfaction on her face: “It doesn’t taste good, it’s so hard to chew, and it doesn’t digest after eating. Muria, you cheated me.”
“I didn’t trick you. It’s just that your teeth aren’t good enough.” Muria, who had reverted to his human form, picked up the Silhouette Gold that Yingdila spat on the ground with a broad smile on his face. After a careful inspection, he happily put it away.
“I want that blue metal.” Yingdila glared at Muria. “I want to eat something yummy.”
“Sure.” Muria, who had found a way to control Yingdila, happily took out a piece of extraordinary metal radiating an earthy yellow spiritual light and handed it to the cute and seemingly tearful little girl.
“Humph!” Yingdila grabbed the piece of Yellow Jade Steel from Muria’s hand in annoyance and swallowed it in a few bites. Then she turned to Muria and said, “I want to eat the blue one.”
“I don’t have any more.” Muria, who was already on the move again, flatly refused her. Yingdila’s stomach was like a bottomless pit that could swallow anything, no matter how much you fed her. Thus, she needed to be controlled.
“Oh…” A somewhat disappointed Yingdila licked her lips and followed Muria’s pace obediently, sticking to the promise she made with Muria before.
Next, the sound of fists striking metal kept ringing out. The golems near the top of the tower had withstood the erosion of time. These golems, made of high-grade extraordinary metals, were still capable of defending after thousands of years.
Still, they were practically useless, as almost all of the metal golems were beaten into irregular metal blocks by Muria using just a pair of fists, before being collected as materials.
Due to the presence of Tower Spirit, the most golems Muria’s party had encountered at once were five. Although Muria didn’t have any problems dealing with them, the other dragons struggled a lot.
Within the Mage Tower, the maneuverability of the giant dragons was greatly reduced, which made the advantage of the golems even more prominent and minimized their weaknesses. Even a group of humans, if they operate correctly, can trap a golem, as it’s just a mindless being.
Under these circumstances, Muria had to let Yingdila step in. She then seized the opportunity to swallow a golem, causing Muria to wince. Although Muria didn’t care about low-grade resources, he cherished high-grade extraordinary metals.
“Evil Dragon, halt.” At a metal gate carved with numerous spirit runes, the elegant Tower Spirit dressed as a mage once again appeared in front of Muria, standing in the way of Muria and his party with a serious look on his face.
“I am not an evil dragon.” Looking at the Tower Spirit, which had taken the form of a middle-aged mage, Muria explained solemnly.
“Leave here. You cannot bear the consequences of opening this door.” Despite Muria’s explanation, the Tower Spirit, who had already concluded that he was an evil dragon, continued to warn.
“What will the consequences be?” Muria raised an eyebrow and expressed indifference towards the Tower Spirit’s threatening words.
“What lies within is beyond your reach. Fallen Golden Dragon, this is my last warning to you.”
“Swish!” Muria took out his Seven Sins Blade, but he didn’t bother to say anything more. He raised the formidable war knife and slashed at the metallic door before him. The silver blade light flew out, streaking past the projection of the Tower Spirit, leaving a long slash scar over ten meters long on the door.
“A legendary weapon!” The Tower Spirit’s color drained from his face as it saw the slash scar on the door. “Stop, this door cannot be opened.”
Muria ignored the Tower Spirit entirely, and continued to slash at the metallic door in front of him with the Seven Sins Blade, each slash landing on the initial scar.
Muria was not interested in solving the magic array on the door, as it would be too time-consuming, so he chose a direct, forceful breakthrough.
“Boom!” Amidst the furious roar of the Tower Spirit, Muria cut open the door in front of him. Then, a surge of flames burst forth, and alongside the flames, dozens of fire elements of various sizes and strengths.
“What’s going on?” After he casually dispersed a fire elemental standing about three meters tall, Muria turned his puzzled gaze towards the Tower Spirit.
All he did was cut open the door to the core control hub of the Mage Tower, so why did it feel like he had opened a link to the realm of fire elements?
“Golden Dragon, you have caused a great calamity,” the Tower Spirit said in despair. “The master’s semi-plane is finished.”
“It’s just a few fire elementals.” The Red Dragon Otlis opened its mouth and directly swallowed three fire elementals, considering them to be a rather nice snack.
“Shouldn’t there be an elemental pool behind this door?” Muria looked at the continuous outpour of fire elementals from the gate, puzzled. “It’s as if it’s connected to the Fire element realm.”
“The passage to the Fire Element Realm just happened to be in front of this door,” the despairing Tower Spirit glared at Muria. “All the elemental realms are connected here. I used my master’s three legendary statues to seal this place and you broke the seal as soon as you came. You damn evil dragon.”
“What happened to this Mage Tower after the main owner disappeared?” Muria felt that things were strange.
A Mage Tower of this magnitude should require at least a thousand people to maintain. Where had these people – or their descendants gone? Furthermore, where were the Cloud Giants that constructed the Floating City?
Also, when he had arrived, he hadn’t encountered a single Gold-level lifeform along the way. The most powerful creatures he came across were merely ferocious wild beasts. Simply put, in this entire semi-plane, there wasn’t a single intelligent creature, a fact that defied logic.
The legendary mage had died, causing his semi-plane to lose its keeper, but it wouldn’t necessarily result in its collapse. The creatures living there could continue surviving and thriving, relying on its resources.
