King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 293 - 293 288 The Nest
Chapter 293: Chapter 288: The Nest Chapter 293: Chapter 288: The Nest “When the Pale Blood Devourer first advanced to Soul Intent, it dared to only attack small cities or large towns. But after that battle, the Pale Blood Devourer not only progressed but also became even more cruel and violent, starting to attack medium-sized cities, slaughtering humans and devouring souls to rapidly enhance its strength.”
“Oh?” Muria pondered while touching his chin. “It became even more bloodthirsty after devouring the flesh of a red dragon. That’s interesting.”
“That Unusual Tooth Dragon not only obtained the Abyssal Bloodline but also merged with the bloodline of a red dragon.” Muria walked up to the three Mutated Fang Dragons in front, which were emitting a faint sulfuric smell. Muria initially assumed that this was due to Demon Blood, but it now seemed like there was much more to it.
“We cannot confirm that yet,” Red-clothed Grand Archbishop Sukada said, his face slightly embarrassed. “The Pale Blood Devourer’s transformations have been too rapid for our intelligence to keep up with.”
“Trash!” The Red Dragon Otlis cursed, glaring at the mangled Fang Dragon at his feet. This made the faces of the priests behind Sukada quite unsightly, as it was clear that the Red Dragon was scolding them.
“Lord Golden Dragon, the primary issue is that the Pale Blood Devourer is brutally violent. After consuming the flesh of a red dragon, all the humans that have seen it, barring its minions, were killed by it.”
“Alright, tell me where its lair is. Leave the rest to me.” Muria waved his hand, eager to deal with the Unusual Tooth Dragon as soon as possible so he could search for the Five Colored Dragons that had been banished to this continent.
“Alright! Please be careful, Lord Golden Dragon.” Seeing Muria’s insistence, the Red-clothed Grand Archbishop gave up trying to persuade him and informed Muria of the Unusual Tooth Dragon’s location.
“Otlis, come with me.” Muria looked at the Green Dragon, who had transformed back into a green-haired lady. “Fiona, stay here with these Green Dragons. Protect this city until I manage to take down that Unusual Tooth Dragon.”
After the three Fang Dragons were captured alive, the horde of monsters besieging the city halted their attack. Some of them ran away while others lay prone on the ground in a respectful manner, as the one who had driven them off was the Five Colored Dragons, an entity these monsters could only dream of following.
Although the crisis was averted, the city’s defense system was basically scrapped. If similar dragons were to attack again, the city would be defenceless.
“Your Highness, what should we do with these three inferior dragons?” Fiona asked, not showing any dissatisfaction when she heard that she was to stay and guard the city.
“If they have already been tainted with the Abyssal Bloodline, they must all be killed,” Muria replied with an indifferent expression.
…
“Your Highness, why do you need to handle an Unusual Dragon personally?” The Red Dragon carrying Muria asked, sounding somewhat confused.
“This Unusual Dragon is rather special. Do you think you, alone, are undoubtedly capable of defeating it?” Muria retorted.
“You could send Fiona and me together.”
“No need. This Unusual Dragon is quite interesting, and I just happen to be itching for a fight,” Muria replied lightly.
“Oh!” The Red Dragon stopped speaking, flapping its wings as it swept up the atmosphere, leaving a long, light-red trail in the high sky….
“This odd dragon tastes pretty good!” Muria exclaimed with a laugh as she rode the Red Dragon to the location provided by Archbishop Sukada, seeing the castle towering at the summit of the mountains.
Muria had assumed that this aberrant dragon, a fusion of the Red Dragon bloodline and the Abyssal Bloodline that loved killing and sacking cities, would have a nest made of bone and decorated with blood, but what she saw was far better than she had expected.
If she hadn’t seen the mutated Fang Dragons circling above the castle, and the Ogres, Lizardmen, and other evil races residing in the mountains where the castle was located, Muria wouldn’t have been sure that this was the nest of the Pale Blood Devourer.
“Roar…” A ferocious roar echoed through the air. Seeing the nearly 100-meter-tall Otlis approach, the mutated Fang Dragons circling above the castle showed no fear, but instead let out bellowing roars, flying toward Otlis.
Though the dragons couldn’t beat Otlis in a fight, they still weren’t intimidated by him due to their superior numbers. More mutated Fang Dragons began flying toward Muria, not just from the sky above the castle, but also emerging one after another from within the castle, opening their mutated wings and rushing at Muria.
“Hmm, not bad. This aberrant toothy dragon has tamed quite a number of its kind.” Muria’s face showed no signs of panic as she looked at the swarm of fang dragons flying her way.
“These contemptible mongrels!” Unlike Muria’s calm demeanor, the Red Dragon Otlis was visibly perturbed by the sight of the fang dragons charging at him. His mouth opened slightly, hot dragon flames flickering inside.
As a proud red dragon, Otlis could submit to Muria, whose bloodline was indescribably higher than his, but he wouldn’t tolerate the provocation of these lowly sub-dragons. For him, this was an insult.
Inferior lifeforms should grovel in the most humble manner when confronted with the arrival of beings with noble bloodlines.
“Otlis, that aberrant toothy dragon isn’t in his nest.” Standing between the horns of the Red Dragon, Muria stomped her foot,”So, you go down and clean up those monsters while I handle these mutated toothy dragons.”
“Your Highness Muria, I can deal with these tooth-dragons.”
“I know, but then what would I do? Clean up those trash down there?”
“You could stand on my head and enjoy the show.” The Red Dragon grumbled quietly, but he didn’t voice out his complaint. He could feel the growing strength of Muria’s will to fight and her murderous intent.
“Get going!” Muria stomped her foot, propelling herself like a cannonball into the swarm of fang dragons. The Red Dragon, had to support the force from Muria’s human form’s kick, flung his large dragon body towards the monsters below.
Seeing the mob of monsters led by several two-headed Cannibal Trolls, the extremely frustrated Otlis opened his mouth, and white-hot dragon flames gushed out, descending upon the hordes of monsters…
In the sky above, Muria, who had shot into the group of mutated Tooth Dragons, pushed her outstretched slender hand against the bone-texture armor of a mere Gold Rank Tooth Dragon’s head, pulling it back instantly.
But just in that fleeting moment of contact, countless cracks spread across the bone-texture armor of that mutated Tooth Dragon’s head. Then, its head, filled with sharp horns and spikes, exploded, like a blood-red firework blossoming in the sky, creating a surreal beauty.
The headless dragon corpse fell to the ground, and it seemed like a signal, a beginning. The bodies of corrupted dragons fell one after the other… Muria was slaughtering these mutated dragons at an astonishing pace.
