King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 291 - 291 286 Killing Intent

Chapter 291: Chapter 286: Killing Intent Chapter 291: Chapter 286: Killing Intent “Where is your country’s legend?” After hearing the Red-clothed Grand Archbishop’s introduction of this unusual tooth dragon, Muria, with passionate intent to kill, suddenly had a thought.

A slaughter of over three million humans is not a loss that any country on Osroni subcontinent can ignore. Here, there is no unified empire.

“Before the Pale Blood Devourer becomes a legend, the legend cannot lay hands on it.” A hint of embarrassment and humiliation was showing on Sukada’s face.

“Why not take action?” Red Dragon Otlis asked curiously. As a dragon that had been hunted by human legends, it was particularly curious about this. It didn’t think that human legends would follow any bullshit rule of not bullying the weak.

“The Pale Blood Devourer would offer half of what it got from looting our human cities to an ancient blue dragon and gained its protection,” Sukada said with a tone filled with anger.

“Hmm, I see now.” Muria nodded, then turned her gaze to the temple’s exit, “Is there only the Mutated Fang Dragons that have been corrupted by this fallen demon dragon attacking your city outside? Didn’t the Pale Blood Devourer come?”

“It didn’t come. If that evil dragon came, our city would have definitely fallen by now,” said the warrior who had been slapped into a pillar by Otlis, spitting blood as he struggled to get up and answer.

As a gold-level warrior, his injuries were serious but not fatal. After being slapped into the pillar, he came to his senses and he had been listening to the conversation between Sukada, the Grand Archbishop, Muria, and the dragons.

The warrior realised that the slap he received was purely his own seeking; he had attacked the reinforcements, his own people. Speaking reasonably, he was in the wrong. And speaking unreasonably… his fist was smaller than the others.

“Let’s go then and see for ourselves. It seems like your situation isn’t looking good,” Muria took the lead and stepped out of the temple, the sounds of battling outside were slowly decreasing. Human roars and shouts were fading, while brutal roars were getting louder.

Muria, who had just walked out of the teleportation hall, paused her steps because at this moment there were thousands of eyes filled with hope looking at her. The owners of these eyes were dressed in cheap and even shabby clothes, and there was nothing special about their behaviour.

The black-haired, golden-pupilled boy looked at the human commoners who were crammed into almost every available space inside the temple, and then looked back at the Red-clothed Grand Archbishop closely following him.

He suddenly realized something. The temples of human deities, no matter where, even in a small town, are always gigantic.

Previously, he scrutinized with malicious intent, thinking that those churches that worshipped deities build such colossal temples that even dragons or giants could move around in them. He thought it was to please their deities; a kind of extravagant and ostentatious project.

But after seeing the scene before him, Muria realized that her past life misconceptions had biased her, she always speculated about the deities with extremely malicious thoughts.

She did not know about other deities, but the deities of the Lawful Good Alignment of the human race were truly worthy of the faith and worship from their followers. It was evident from their churches.

The temples of the human good gods, during peacetime, are a place for believers to pray. But in times of war like now, all good god churches are shelters. Therefore, the larger the temple, the more civilians it can accommodate.

“Is this Lord Golden Dragon?”

“It doesn’t look like it!”

“This is just a child!”

Upon seeing the first to walk out was Muria, hushed whispers reached his ears. Sukada who followed behind Muria, lowered his body slightly, revealing a pleading look on his face, “Lord Golden Dragon, could you please demonstrate the power of your golden dragon?”

“Instead of me, it should be you, Leon, who is the most ideal for demonstrating such powers,” said Muria. Although his gaze was unflinching, he conveyed an emotional wave into the consciousness of a red-haired boy in the team behind him.

“Sadly, you’re too weak now. Even if you reveal your identity as a demon hunter knight, it won’t inspire them,” he added.

Under the watchful eyes of the commoners taking refuge in the temple, Muria, never forgetting to provoke the young Leon, had tiny scales, glistening like gold, gradually surfacing across his face. On either side of his forehead, six dragon horns extended in different directions.

A handsome young man, within moments of stepping forward, sprouted golden scales on his face and horns on his forehead, morphing into a non-human creature. This dramatic scene didn’t incite panic among the mortals; instead, it brought expressions of excitement and enthusiasm to their faces.

Furthermore, as Muria revealed his dragon’s bloodline, an aura of restrained gold-colored ‘dragon prestige’ began to spread. Finding no resistance, once a thread of dragon prestige diffused from Muria, all the commoners faces lit up with an euphoric grin and they obediently knelt down.

Looking at this spectacle, a Demon Hunter Knight named Leon, who was walking with Muria, clenched his fists. It was the arrival of a non-human entity that revived hope and confidence among ordinary humans during times of crisis.

“This subcontinent seems to be much more chaotic than Ionia,” said Muria, stepping out of the temple, glancing briefly at claw marks outside the temple, and then turning his gaze towards the battlefield filled continuously with roars and rumblings.

A massive semi-transparent protection shield was safeguarding the entire city. This was the city’s defensive array. Seeing the flickering spirit light shield, it was evident that the city protection array would not last much longer.

On the outer edge of the trembling spirit light shield shot magic spells alongside crossbow arrows, striking at the horde of monsters besieging the city. Occasionally, the radiant beam from the magic cannon flashed, instantly creating a path of carcasses in the thickly clustered group of monsters.

“Roar!” “Roar!”… The brutal roars of dragons echoed from the sky, where three unusual dragons soared over the city. They were the main force, while the besiegers on the ground were mere cannon fodder.

“So, they are the mutated fang dragons.” As Muria looked at the sky interestedly, “I don’t remember fang dragons being able to fly this high,” he mused, eyeing the three tooth dragons that were clashing against the spiritual light shield.

The three strange dragons in the sky above were entirely covered with hardened bone plate armor. Sharpened bone spikes protruded from their joints, and their elongated dragon tails ended in large sickle-like bone blades.

Their eyes shone with a scarlet light, and their heads were covered with small horns and spines, similar to a normal tooth dragon. The only difference was their wings.

Normal Fang Dragons have short wings, making their flying ability far inferior. They could fly only by flapping their wings rapidly and charging forward. In contrast, these three tooth dragons overhead had large wings, allowing them to hover in the sky.
