King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 272 - 272 267 Terminate here Ha

Chapter 272: Chapter 267: Terminate here? Ha! Chapter 272: Chapter 267: Terminate here? Ha! “Finally, it’s over,” the general leapt off his stretcher, just moments after he’d been brought back to the fortress by personal guards from where he’d fallen. Although the journey had taken no more than a few minutes, it had felt like torture to him, so many people were watching him, it was truly embarrassing.

“You bastard, why are you splattering so much blood on me?” the fortress general said angrily, looking at the ferocious beast’s blood that had soaked his armor and inner robe. He glared at his aide who stood beside him, “You’ve been spraying this blood all the way.”

“Isn’t that meant to make it look like your wounds are particularly severe, general? So many nobles have already been killed, you can’t bear that consequence. So, the more severe your injury looks now, the smaller the responsibility becomes later.”

“But you didn’t have to …” The general’s words were cut short when he noticed his aide had subtly saluted behind him. He abruptly stopped talking, turned around, and immediately saw a black-haired, golden-pupiled young man standing quietly behind him, smiling at him.

“Why are you covered in so much blood?” Muria looked at the bear-like man in front of him. He knew from the smell that it was beast’s blood, deliberately sprinkled on him.

“Uh….” The general glared fiercely at his aide, then forced an awkward smile, “Your Excellency, have you already cleaned up those scum who offended you?”

“I’ve only cleared up a fraction.” Muria took out a parchment listing more than ten noble names, half of whom had already paid the price for their actions.

“Seems like some of them got away.” The general’s face showed a hint of regret, “It would be great if you could have killed all these scoundrels, I’ve had enough of such wastes.”

“Look here, I’ve found something interesting.” Muria handed the list of names to the general, “These nobles all seem to be useless middle-men, the ones who want the demon hunters dead are the noble families they are backed by. Now, I need you to tell me the locations of the territories belonging to these noble clans.”

“Are you planning to continue the hunt?”

“What else?” Muria sneered, he had no intention of stopping.

“Actually, you don’t need to.” The general shook his head, taking the list from Muria’s hand and scanning it, “This is a border fortress, directly controlled by the kingdom, it’s not possible to apportion it to the nobles. So the aristocratic children who are sent here are all useless to their families, fulfilling only one role, to pass on the bloodline.”

“The news of the demon hunters’ appearance was most likely reported to their families by them, and then their families sent funds and ordered them to assign the task of killing the demon hunters to assassination organizations.”

“Now that you’ve traced it back to them, there’s only one outcome whether they flee back to their clan or not.”

“…….” Muria narrowed his eyes, not saying a word.

“Their families will sacrifice their lives to quell your anger.” the general’s aide chimed in.

“General!” At this moment, a heavily-armored soldier came running, paused when he saw Muria, looked at him with a reverent gaze, then bowing, rushed to the bloody general’s side and whispered a few words.

“Your Excellency, those objects the clans sent to appease your anger have arrived. They’ve been brought to me.”

“…..So this is the unwritten rule among your human nobles?” Muria glanced down at the row of decapitated heads before him, identifiable by their expressions of fear and disbelief, then turned to the general to ask his question.

“It’s more or less like that.” The General studied the beheaded corpses who had died without understanding why. These nobles had tried to escape, only to be slaughtered by their own families, their heads cut off and sent to Muria to calm his fury.

“It’s not enough.” Muria glanced at them, calmly voicing his opinion.

“Oh, a few are missing.” The general checked the list in his hand, “It seems some weren’t completely ‘stupid’, they didn’t run back home. Just don’t know how these pampered nobles will survive when they leave their families!”

“I’m not talking about that.” Muria wore a mocking expression, “These families think they can get away by just serving up a few irrelevant descendants?”

“Um, Your Excellency, what else do you want?” After exchanging a glance with his aide, the general tentatively asked.

“All those forces who want the demon hunters dead, don’t have the right to exist anymore.” Muria spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, to the general and his aide’s unease.

“Your Excellency, rumors have it that the demon hunter you protect has not perished, and those nobles have brought over the heads of their kindred. Don’t you think it’s a bit excessive to continue the pursuit…”

“Do you think they’ve shown me enough respect?” Muria pointed at the head skulls before him still displaying a hint of unwillingness, “So, I shouldn’t continue to pursue this matter?”

The aide who had just spoke awkwardly laughed, he had realized that this Golden Dragon did not intend to follow their unwritten human rules.

“Heh, I’m not a human, don’t assume you can bind me with all those boring and ridiculous nobility rules of you humans.” Muria looked at the general, “I came to find you to get the locations of the territories backed by the people on this list.”

“…” The general’s face twitched a couple of times, his breathing became a bit rushed, a few drops of cold sweat appeared on his forehead. He felt that if he told this golden dragon about the location of the noble territories, the Kingdom of Aub would witness a bloody storm.

“Don’t worry, nobody saw me come in, so even if you tell me, nobody will know.” Muria hovered in mid-air, his face wore a faint smile, making him seem like a naïve boy. “Even if you don’t tell me, I can still go and ask the True God Church.”

“Gulp!” The general swallowed with difficulty.

“Tell me, and you will gain the opportunity to request my help once.” In his human form, Muria exuded the arrogance of a dragon.

After hearing Muria’s words, the general hesitated a moment then made up his mind. The promise of a golden dragon was worth selling out the nobles who had no ties with him.

So, the general spilled out all the information Muria wanted like a flood, disregarding the frantic signals from his aide on the side.

“Oh, yes, are there any legends in these families?” Already having acquired all the information, and preparing to leave, Muria asked.

“No.” The general answered affirmatively.

“Alright, there’s no need for me to ask Ancient Dragons for help then.” Muria nodded, a satisfied look on his face, and disappeared from the fortress.

Following his departure, a high and clear dragon roar rang out.

Upon hearing the noise, the general immediately ran to the window, spotting a red dragon nearly one hundred meters long, circling over the city. On top of the dragon’s head stood a black-haired, golden-pupiled young man, surrounded by a group of dragons, their intimidating presence enveloping the Patrick Fortress.

While the appearance of so many Five-colored Dragons might have caused a massive panic, almost everyone recognized the boy standing atop the red dragon, surrounded by the other dragons.

“Set the coordinates!” At Muria’s command, three Soul-level green dragons worked together to open an impressively large Grand Teleportation Gate. “Let’s go!”
