King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 255 - 255 250 Deeply Calculating

Chapter 255: Chapter 250: Deeply Calculating Chapter 255: Chapter 250: Deeply Calculating “This is Muria’s aura!” Feeling the Dragon Prestige emanating from the undead fleet, Kaslana looked uncertainly in that direction, an expression of bewilderment crossing her face. “How is it possible? How could my younger brother Muria be a Legend? He’s clearly only at the Soul-intent Second Rank Realm.”

However, recalling Muria’s recent performance, Kaslana started to suspect that Muria might indeed be a Legend. This would better explain why Muria, despite being in his human form, was able to exhibit such sheer overpowering strength against a group of Undead Dragons.

In contrast to the uncertain Kaslana, Alviss, being an Ancient Golden Dragon that had interacted with Muria, was sure of what Muria’s real strength and realm were.

Therefore, without hesitation, Alviss’s huge and majestic dragon body plunged into the ghastly mist, flying towards the origin of the spreading Dragon Prestige. He needed to find out what was going on!

“Why are you dashing in here instead of continuing your attack on Berlaint?” Captain Barbosa looked up at the incoming Ancient Golden Dragon and pointed at Muria with his blade. “Are you worried about this kid?”

“Muria, what’s going on with the Dragon Prestige around you?” Alviss landed on the ironclad warship without paying any attention to Barbosa.

“Captain Barbossa gave me a magical artifact that allows me to disguise myself as a Legend and act like I’m in a fight,” answered Muria, adding, “He paid me with a piece of Ancient Spirit Gold!”

“Barbossa, would you care to explain?” Alviss turned towards the Great Lich. If it was just an act, it was a costly one—legendary metal, even if it was the Ancient Spirit Gold, toxic to the undead. While it might be useless to them, it could be exchanged with others. Its value far exceeded that of any currency.

“I just want you to be able to seal Berlaint smoothly, I do not want the number of Ancient Dragons besieging him to decrease anymore.”

By now, Captain Barbosa showed no disguise of his malevolence towards the Dragon Tamer of the Undead, “If I were not a council member held back by the Contract, I would have attacked him myself.”

“Why? Just because he did not pay you the last time the Dragon Race hunted him down, you want to kill him?”

“Of course not for such a petty reason, but because I’ve found the location of Berlaint’s Semi Plane!” Barbosa opened his jaw in a laughing gesture. “Whether you seal him or kill him, that Semi Plane will be mine!”

“So you’re using us?” As Alviss, who had transformed into a humanoid form, listened to Barbosa’s words, his body was lit ablaze by Dragon Flames. He instantly linked the occurrence of Berlaint’s message with certain incidents, and understood everything–they were all old monsters, and none were inferior to the others.

“How could you say I’m using you? It’s clearly mutual benefit!” Barbosa wore a beaming smile. “You successfully seal Berlaint, and I get a masterless Semi Plane—it’s win-win!”

Muria looked at the old Lich, who had ostensibly lived for ten thousand years, his mind a whirlwind. He remembered Golden Dragon Lude who had sought help from Kaslana’s Mage Tower, then everything that had subsequently happened—everything seemed to be controlled by the captain standing before him.

A hundred-year annihilation of the Kingdom by the Undead Council was the rule, the tradition, and immutable. But the choice of Kingdom for annihilation, however, can be influenced. For a Legendary Peak Great Lich, influencing the council’s choice was no big deal.

The reason for choosing the Bavaria Kingdom was probably because there was a privileged Marquis in this Kingdom, a Golden Dragon, and a particular captain of a ship needed a Golden Dragon to deliver the news of Berlaint’s revival to the Dragon Race.

So, Golden Dragon Lude survived the chase of the Legendary Undead and was even able to run out for help, not because of his luck, ability, or strength, but simply because a certain captain deliberately let him escape to deliver the message.

Upon receiving the news, the Dragon Race would inevitably send Ancient Dragons to continue their hunt for Berlaint… The more Muria thought about it, the more astonished he became, watching the old Lich captain with a fearful look.

Everything could be linked to this old captain, the info of Berlaint’s location received by the Ancient Dragons… The indifference shown by the Legendary Undead and the Lich party letting Berlaint be surrounded… All was part of the scheme by an old Lich who wanted to possess a Semi Plane.

And now, Barbosa was openly telling his plans, unafraid of the Dragon Race finding out and backing out from the hunt.

By now, the Ancient Dragons couldn’t possibly give up on the siege against Berlaint. It was plain manipulation at this point, harboring hate from Berlaint’s previous mistakes.

“…” Alviss was darkly looking at Captain Barbosa. Being manipulated as a pawn could never bring pleasant mood to anyone.

“Don’t waste your time just staring at me! Do you want to fight me?” Barbosa was laughing jovially. At this point, the result was determined, and he had more or less attained his goal. “Get back into battle as soon as possible, finish off Berlaint. Then you can go back, report to the Dragon God and Dragon King, and receive rewards. Isn’t that great?”

“Hmph!” Alviss glanced at Muria, who was releasing Legendary Dragon Power, and seemed somewhat apprehensive.

“Rest assured, Royalty of the Dragon King is overseeing from above, I wouldn’t dare to make a move on his descendants.” Barbossa waved his hand. “When you have dealt with Berlaint, I will send him back safe and sound.”

After Ancient Gold Dragon Alviss flew into the ghostly mist, enveloping the undead fleet, fierce explosion noises as well as the ripples of Legendary Level combat emerged. Only after many beings thought it was the Ancient Golden Dragon Alviss fighting against Barbosa did they realize in shock that Alviss was flying out from the mist to re-join the aerial battlefield, continuing his assault on the frail Bone Dragon.

This was once a prosperous city housing millions of humans; now it had been reduced to a barren area by the magic attack of the Ancient Dragons, the scene was very intriguing.

High above at ten thousand meters, fourteen Ancient Dragons were close to finishing a fight with Berlaint and his Legendary Undead Dragon; anyone could see that Berlaint was losing.

Directly below the scene was the largest battlefield in the area, where hundreds of Giant Dragons were locked in a battle with Berlaint’s undead legion. Thanks to Muria’s furious rampage, the young dragons were actually able to stalemate the undead legion.

Surrounding this massive battlefield were a smaller regiment of eight Ancient Dragons, battling Legendary undead, if taken out of context, it would amaze anyone with the prowess of the Ancient Dragons as they appeared to be each fighting two or even three Legendary Undead.

Of course, there was another battlefield, where the loudest clashes could be heard, but on one side of the fight, the combatant might not even be a Legend…
