Chapter 254 - 254 249 The Joker Kings Masquerade
Chapter 254: Chapter 249: The Joker King’s Masquerade Chapter 254: Chapter 249: The Joker King’s Masquerade The gray and black ghostly fog of the undead gradually spread, completely obscuring the ghost fleet, blocking all curious gazes from the outside world.
“Captain Barbosa, have you got any shame?” Muria held the Prison Suppression Halberd in her hand, a twitch at the corner of her mouth, staring at the Great Lich in front of her wearing a tri-corner captain’s hat, “I haven’t even reached the legendary level yet, and you’d lay your hands on me? Have you got no shame?”
“No problem, you weren’t a legend before, but now you are.” Barbosa’s crystal clear skeletal hand opened, pulling out what looked like a rather funny clown mask and threw it at Muria.
“What is this?” Muria caught the clown mask, flipping it over and examining it curiously, she asked with a furrowed brow.
“The Clown King’s Mask.” Barbossa pulled out the long sword hanging from his waist, “Put it on, and you can disguise yourself as a legend, releasing the legendary level of Dragon Prestige!”
“An object of magic that is of no use to a legend.” Muria tossed the mask she held, and commented.
“But now it’s useful for me!” Barbosa stared at Muria, “Wear it, and you’re a Legendary Ancient Dragon.”
“Tsk, you’re good at planning. I become an Ancient Dragon hiding its aura. Then after you discover me, I show my true strength, have a conflict with you, and keep you and your fleet trapped here, so you can’t help Berlaint, right?” Muria stared at the giant skeleton in front of her, who was dressed like a pirate.
“Smart. You’re truly the descendant of Dimos, you guessed my plan right away.” Barbosa pulled out the long sword from his waist, placing it in front of him, its shining blade reflecting one side of Muria’s young face, and the other side reflecting his crystal skull surrounded by blue soul fire.
“Did you know my grandfather?” Muria raised her eyebrows a bit; she was not too surprised, this being was a great lich who had lived for tens of thousands of years, so it was not too surprising that he knew her grandfather Dimos.
“Unforgettable, even if another ten thousand years pass, I would not forget your grandfather.” After examining the longsword in his hand for a while, Barbossa slowly lowered it, holding it against Muria’s neck, “Dimos’s granddaughter, behave yourself, obediently wear the mask, and do as I say.”
“What did my grandfather do to you?” After glancing at the longsword on her shoulder, Muria ignored it, “You seem to hate him quite a bit?”
“Kid, do you think that I’d dare not kill you?” Seeing Muria’s calm expression, Barbossa made a somewhat annoyed Soul Sound warning, the air was filled with murderous intent.
“Did you not sense the aura that flashed over in the sky just now?”
“So what if I sensed it?”
“If you sensed it, then take off your sword.” Muria reached out and tapped the blade of the sword on her shoulder, “Don’t try to threaten me with these inferior methods. The Dragon King is watching from above. You can try and see what happens if you hurt me!”
“Hmph!” Barbosa returned the sword to its sheath: “The ghosts in my Undead Council are above as well.”
“We are not the same!” Muria glanced and said lightly, “Tell me, what did my grandfather do to you?”
“…”
“Speak up, and I’ll wear the mask.”
“Your grandfather once used an extremely despicable and shameful method to rob my eighty-seven ghost ships.” Barbosa spoke angrily in a Soul Sound, “Those are ships that I collected with great difficulty from the ocean floor.”
“Only eighty-seven ships, is it worth it?” Muria asked with confusion, recalling the iron fleet she had seen transformed into ghosts before, “This number, isn’t it not worth mentioning when considering the total number of ghost ships you own?”
“Your grandfather stole my fleet’s largest eighty-seven ships, all of which were flagship vessels.” The Ghost Captain Barbosa spoke spitefully, “The smallest one among them is still bigger than the ship under your feet!”
“Impressive!” Muria clicked her tongue in admiration, of course, she directly filtered and ignored those derogatory words that Barbosa used to describe her grandfather.
“So, did you invent that iron fleet because the flagship vessels you collected were taken by my grandfather, which forced you to come up with a new plan?”
“Nonsense, I had already begun researching how to mass-produce ghost ships a long time ago, it has nothing to do with your grandfather.” Upon hearing Muria’s words, the soul fire inside Barbosa’s skull shot up more than a meter high, “Kid, now it’s your turn to keep your promise, it’s time to act with me.”
“I only agreed to put on the mask. I didn’t agree to help you put on a show.” Muria put the mask on her face. It was icy cold. The mask instantly melded into her skin, causing her aura to soar towards the level of legend.
However, Muria quickly reined in this rampantly soaring aura. After all, it was nothing more than an empty shell that looked impressive.
“Are you messing with me?”
“You tell me an old story about my grandfather and expect me to help you?” Muria smirked coldly, “You don’t take me seriously at all.
If you want me to step in, you must pay a reasonable reward. As an evil undead, the cost is even doubled.”
“I don’t have money!”
“But you have a ship!”
“Which ship do you want?”
“The one under our feet isn’t bad.”
“Impossible, this is the last ghost flagship I salvaged from the seafloor. Don’t even dream about it.”
“Hmm, your sword is good, so how about…”
“Impossible, greedy Golden Dragon. You’re just like your grandfather.”
“You want me to work for you for free?” Muria squinted at Barbossa, “Do you think it is possible?”
Damn it! Barbosa swore, if it weren’t for the fact that a Dragon King was watching from the sky and that he learned that Dimos had become the Dragon King,
he would definitely skin this brat alive. A little dragon who had just reached the Soul Intent Level was asking for a reward. This revealed his utter ignorance. He himself was a legendary Great Lich who had existed for ten thousand years.
“Ancient Spirit Gold!” Muria’s gaze was fixed unblinkingly on the piece of metal in Barbosa’s hand that radiated a strong life force, a Legendary Metal. It was a pity that it was rather small, only the size of an adult’s palm.
“This is your reward, how about it?”
“It’s too small.”
“Take it or leave it!”
“Alright, alright, I will make a bit of a loss. Deal!”
…
“Brother Muria!” Seeing Muria being suddenly taken away by the undead captain Barbossa, Golden Dragon Sister Kaslana let out a cry of surprise and quickly called on her grandfather in the sky for help.
“Muria is in danger, Grandpa, you must save him, we can’t let anything happen to him.”
“I know!” Alviss, who heard his granddaughter’s call for help, reluctantly released the Legendary Bone Dragon in his claws that was about to be shattered under his grip, and pounced towards the Undead Fleet below covered by a ghost fog. Just as he was about to fly into it,
“Boom!” The Legendary Level Dragon Prestige spread out, causing the ghost fog to stir restlessly.
