King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 251 - 251 246 Loafing

Chapter 251: Chapter 246: Loafing Chapter 251: Chapter 246: Loafing Or more accurately, this torrent made up of countless vengeful spirits was rushing towards the legendary battlefield high above.

From amidst the surge of ghostly green spirits, there emanated an eerie, cold, silent legendary aura that was unmasked, causing tremendous panic in the giant dragon occupying that area.

Wherever the ghost torrent passed, flowers and trees withered, and all birds, beasts, and insects died.

“The support from the Undead Council has arrived!” Muria looked up at the legendary undead ushering in the ghost torrent, “I just don’t know if he has liaised with the Barbosa ship; will he contribute, or just pretend to?”

High above at ten thousand meters, the ancient dragons, who had pushed Berlaint and his legendary undead dragon into a disadvantageous position, glanced at each other as they saw the massive ghost torrent surging in.

Then, an ancient silver dragon left the battleground, carrying a chill that seemed to freeze space itself, and flew toward the ghost torrent.

As the ancient silver dragon approached the wave of spirits, the sea-like torrent swiftly parted, opening a path. After seeing the dense mass of vengeful spirits, the ancient silver dragon paused momentarily before flying straight in.

No matter if this legendary dead spirit planned to never lift a finger, the ancient silver dragon didn’t care. It believed in its power, believing that it had enough strength to handle every situation.

In fact, the power inside the ancient silver dragon was ready for deployment. It couldn’t possibly lower its guard because of one sentence from a core member of the Undead Council. It wasn’t that naive.

This group of ancient dragons was prepared to fight all the legendary undead in the Bavarian Kingdom from the start. Their real mission was to locate and moniter the whereabouts of Bertlein, not actually capture him in one go.

This batch of ancient dragons were only the first to receive news and arrive quickly. And there would still be ancient dragons and legendary dragons coming. The summoning strength of the Dragon God and the Dragon King was terrifying. Of course, the influence of the Mother Dragon was counted separately.

“Silver Dragon, relax a bit, I have no interest in fighting you.” After the eerily gloomy, green glows of the vengeful spirits began to completely isolate the graceful dragon body of the ancient silver dragon bathed in a fog-like chill from the outside world, a ghostly whisper entered her ears.

“Why should I believe you?” The ancient silver dragon narrowed her eyes, examining a middle-aged man with a black beard who appeared in front of her, wearing a crown and a king’s robe. His face was ruddy, eyes bright, and apart from the lack of any life in him, he seemed even more like a living person.

“Isn’t this posture convincing enough?” The legendary wraith, appearing as a king holding a scepter, looked at the ancient silver dragon with a good-natured grin.

But the ancient silver dragon wasn’t fooled by his appearance. The spirits enveloping everything around them, among them were clearly-formed advanced vengeful spirits that took the form of old people, children, and women. Most of these spirits took the form of children and infants.

These were the ones who were just starting to enjoy a good life, but suddenly met with disaster, ending their lives that were just beginning. As a result, they harbored deep resentment. Not possessing faith, it was easiest for such spirits to form and they were extremely ruthless, holding the utmost hostility towards the living.

But, even these brutal spirits, when looking at the legendary wraith who seemed to have been a king in his past life, their almost materialized faces vividly showed fear and reverence.

“If you don’t want to fight, then why did you come here?” Crackling sounds emerged occasionally around the ancient silver dragon. Tiny cracks flashed across, the space had frozen and cracked due to his excessive chill.

“We must at least go through the motions.” The kinged Legendary Undead held his scepter’s gemstone in both hands, standing upright. “An important figure from our Undead Council is paying great attention to this kingdom. If I were just to sit back and watch Berlaint being besieged without doing anything, I would be punished upon my return.”

“But if you blatantly refuse to help out, wouldn’t you be punished when you return?”

“I have already made my stance clear. Even if I have to face punishment, I will not lend a hand to him.” The Legendary Undead revealed a discontented look on his face, “The last time you dragons laid siege to Bertlein, I blocked two ancient dragons for him. As a result, I lost one-tenth of my vengeful spirits.”

When Bertlein was resurrected, I went to ask him for a reward and compensation. Astoundingly, he refused to admit his debt. It’s fine if he couldn’t pay it off all at once, even giving me an IOU would be acceptable, and it wouldn’t matter if the repayment time was a bit long.”

“But he dared to deny my account. With such an attitude, he still expects me to help him? Dream on! The fact that I haven’t joined you in attacking him is already given consideration to us being members of the Undead Council.”

“…” The Ancient Silver Dragon stood speechless. The Legendary Undead’s reason for slacking off was very justifiable, leaving the dragon unable to refute his actions.

“Moreover, I have already done my part to hold off an Ancient Dragon, In this situation, even that influential figure wouldn’t have the audacity to criticize me,” The Legendary Undead chuckled as he looked at the Ancient Silver Dragon.

“You held me back!” The Ancient Silver Dragon narrowed his eyes as the white mist swirling around its body silently became even more dense.

“Silver Dragon, I’ve already said it, I don’t want to fight. Don’t make trouble for yourself.” The Legendary Undead changed from supporting himself with his hands to holding the scepter with one hand, “If we start a fight, we wouldn’t be able to determine the winner for a while. It bears no significance to the overall battle situation. So, let’s save some energy. That would be better for all of you. Just stand and watch them fight.”

“…There hasn’t been any movement for such a long time!” Muria looked at the tide of resentful spirits that had swallowed the Ancient Silver Dragon and then stopped moving, couldn’t help wondering: “With such blatant slacking, is Berlaint’s spectral relationship really that poor?”

In reality, there was another possibility for the lack of activity for such a long time: The Ancient Silver Dragon had been silently dealt with. However, as soon as this thought occurred, it was dismissed by Muria. In this world, unless an Epic personally intervenes, no entity could silently handle an Ancient Silver Dragon.

Just then, a black light pillar wrapped in pure Death Qi, that intersected with the sky and the earth, started moving towards the sky battlefield, signifying the arrival of another Legendary Undead from the Undead Council.

Such a flamboyant release of Qi obviously hadn’t escaped the ancient dragons. Thus, a yellow jade ancient dragon also left the sky battlefield, blocking the Legendary Undead who’s Qi was so strong that it condensed into a pillar of Death Qi that reached the heavens.

Muria casually knocked an undead dragon aside, looking towards the direction of the Yellow Jade Ancient Dragon. After the astonishingly powerful Legendary Undead stopped, his figure was immediately revealed to be that of a Dark Knight armed with a spear and a bow.

From Muria’s perspective, the Yellow Jade Ancient Dragon and the Dark Knight started fighting immediately after a brief conversation. Their battle was marked by spear lights spanning thousands of meters and magic that obscured a part of the sky. It appeared that the battle had escalated right from the beginning.

With their battle ongoing, subtle space rifts would appear from time to time. The spectacle was shocking, but after observing for a while, Muria discovered that these two Legendary figures were just pretending to fight and were still slacking off.

What seemed like powerful spears and magic attacks all fell on empty space. The spectacle was grand, but not a single attack hit the opponent. This level of harmony left Muria at a loss for words.

“Too obvious!” Muria looked at the two Legendary Undead, who were pretending to come to the rescue, and could not help but grumble.
