King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 242 - 242 237 Undead Fleet

Chapter 242: Chapter 237: Undead Fleet Chapter 242: Chapter 237: Undead Fleet “A reward?”

“Exactly. Since you’ve sent all the humans you painstakingly saved to my territory, it’s only right that I give you something in return. I can’t just receive these humans and give nothing in return!”

“But I don’t need this kind of reward.” Muria’s furrowed brow eased.

“This will leave a good impression on those ancient dragons. Besides, if we manage to capture Bertlein, you will have the first pick of the spoils.”

“I don’t need it!” Muria continued to shake her head in refusal. Obtaining treasures in such a way went against his moral principles.

Moreover, how much treasures worth his attention could remain on a lich, who had already been reaped once and was now resurrected?

Upon hearing Muria’s repeated refusals, the smile on the Golden Dragon Sister’s face grew brighter, seemingly delighted by his unequivocal refusal.

“Then what would you like as a reward?” Golden Dragon Sister blinked her golden eyes at Muria, expressing her intentions rather clearly with a coquettish air.

“I don’t need any rewards.” Muria waved his hand, “Having you suddenly take in so many human refugees has already placed a significant burden on your territory.”

“Every granary in my territory is brimming with grain, enough to easily satisfy the hunger of tens of thousands of displaced commoners. As long as their bellies are full, they can be easily settled. After a period of integration, they will start to bring me a steady stream of wealth.”

Golden Dragon Sister was unsatisfied with Muria’s answer, she felt that she had made her intentions clear. Yet, what was this Dragon King’s heir thinking? Was he not attracted to her? Clearly, there were at least eighty if not a hundred Golden Dragons pursuing her, aiming to become her mate.

“Hmm, let’s discuss this later.” Muria’s eyes narrowed slightly as he pointed to the ghost ship beneath the Golden Dragon Sister’s feet, “After capturing the Ghost Ship, did you inform your grandfather?”

“I only informed you.” After answering Muria’s question, Kaslana’s expression changed slightly, feeling a sense of foreboding.

“You should have informed your grandfather immediately after finding and restraining the Ghost Ship.” Muria sighed, extended his hand, and the Staff of the End appeared silently in his hand. Then, he began to layer magical shields onto himself.

Underneath his large cape, the armor he had “obtained” from Golden Dragon Mother, which was more decorative than practical for Muria, was silently replaced with his Dragon Scale Armor fused with Saintly Imperial Abyss.

“It’s a bit late to say that now.” Kaslana’s expression turned serious, she waved her magic staff, and one after another, magical lights flashed over her body. She was also adding magical shields and various support spells onto herself.

Seeing Muria and Kaslana’s cryptic conversation, Fiona and Otlis looked at each other. But the Green Dragon reacted faster, even though he didn’t know what was happening. Seeing the Golden Dragon Sister’s actions, he followed suit and began overlaying magical shields on himself.

“What’s going on?” Seeing the three dragons in front of him continuously layering shields on themselves, Red Dragon Otlis roared angrily, as he was totally clueless about what was happening.

“Our space has been sealed.” Muria responded without looking up, “We’re surrounded.”

“Surrounded?” The Red Dragon looked around the empty sky in confusion. He didn’t understand what Muria meant, but he soon did.

The space in the airspace where Muria was began to ripple like the water’s surface. Then, various ghost ships, each unique and of different sizes, tore through space and appeared in the sky as if breaking through waves.

The sky, which had already been somewhat hazy due to the necromantic fog, became completely dark at this moment. Visible to the naked eye, a death qi reminiscent of a black python filled their vision, weaving around each ghost ship that emitted a decaying, antiquated aura.

“What is this?” Watching the countless ghost ships encircling them, Otlis roared fearfully and transformed back into his nearly hundred-meter-long red dragon form.

“The undying Undead Fleet.” Muria answered seriously.

“Not bad, you’re quite knowledgeable!” A somewhat eerie voice resounded by Muria’s ear.

Then, right in front of Muria, a seven-masted ghost ship, over a thousand meters long and emitting a decaying smell, appeared after tearing through the space.

Unlike the wooden Ghost Ship captured by the Golden Dragon Sister, this Ghost Ship in front of them was an ironclad warship.

“Barbosa?” Muria, who felt an almost imperceptible oppression emanating from the ironclad warship enveloping him, inquired tentatively.

“Hehe, you’re mistaken there. I’m not the great Captain Barbosa.”

“Oh, then who are you?”

“I am the most outstanding first mate under Captain Barbosa…”

“The most outstanding? There’s more than one first mate in your undead fleet? Shouldn’t there be just one?”

“That’s because there are many ships in our undead fleet, so there’s more than just one first mate!” the eerie voice responded somewhat angrily.

“If there are many ships, you should have been given command of one and become a captain by now. Why are you still a first mate?” Muria queried, genuinely puzzled. He was truly curious, why hadn’t such a distinct Undead being, who was clearly a Legend, risen to the rank of a captain, even under Barbosa’s command?

“…” Silence. The Undead Legend who had spoken might’ve misunderstood Muria’s words, and when he spoke again, his voice was particularly cold.

“Who gave you the audacity to seize Captain Barbosa’s ship?” With this soul voice, a chilling psychic wave swept toward Muria and the others as if to ascertain their identities.

“…” Muria raised an eyebrow and swung his magic staff to deflect the psychic wave, choosing not to answer. Instead, he continued to study the ghost ship before him that resembled a moving fortress and the agonizing souls of the defeated struggling on its hull.

“Hey, what kind of team is this? Four dragons, two golden dragons, one red dragon, and one green dragon. Don’t metallic dragons and Five Colored Dragons fight whenever they see each other? How did you guys get together?”

Although the psychic energy was deflected, the Legendary Undead who had only made it to the position of first mate but was undoubtedly a Legend, was already able to confirm the identities of Muria and the other dragons through a brief contact.

“Now I know why this chap, despite being a Legend, has remained a first mate under Barbosa.” Muria communicated with Kaslana through psychic energy.
