King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 217 - 217 212 Inviting Friends Calling Parents

Chapter 217: Chapter 212: Inviting Friends, Calling Parents Chapter 217: Chapter 212: Inviting Friends, Calling Parents The borders between countries often encompass a black zone, devoid of any jurisdiction, mainly to avoid disputes. These locations typically harbour the dregs of society, where the evil, criminals, thieves, robbers, fallen nobles, slave traders, and other such “scum” congregate.

At the trijunction of the Norton Kingdom, Baiye Duchy and Stan Duchy, there once existed such a black zone, called Bologna, which became a gathering point for the “scum” of these three countries.

Due to its unique location, there were no nobles or lords here, making it a lawless territory.

Once upon a time in Bologna, one could encounter all kinds of evildoers, fugitives, rampant robbers, exiled nobles, and slave-trading merchants.

Dark races such as the Blood Clan, Werewolves, and Dark Elves could walk freely there, and occasionally one might even come across demon followers practising small-scale blood sacrifices.

Of course, seeing the followers of demons, these lawless villains would usually swarm and kill them. Chaotic creatures were generally disliked, and chaotic evil creatures were even more loathsome.

As for the followers of the devils and the cult of the evil gods, people could tolerate them to an extent. But they couldn’t stand the demon followers, who were crazed and senseless enough to even slaughter themselves.

All in all, Bologna was once a place where evil lurked, a land of disorder and order coexisting.

Until later, there came a Golden Dragon, having recently ascended to the Soul Intent Level, who just happened to pass through. Witnessing the evil in Bologna, her sense of justice ignited, urging her to try and clean it up.

But Bologna, a dark zone that had existed for hundreds of years with no jurisdiction, was far from simple. Hence, this Golden Dragon, intent on promoting justice and punishing evil, stumbled and fell rather embarrassingly here.

Being a proud Golden Dragon, how could she accept being bested by a group of lowly evildoers? Would she sleep it off, waiting tens or hundreds of years until her strength reached a new level, then seek revenge?

That’s a joke! As a Golden Dragon, if she could not win, couldn’t she call other dragons for help?

So, this Golden Dragon, who had been at a disadvantage in Bologna, called friends and kin, Golden Dragons, Silver Dragons, Red Copper Dragons, Green Bronze Dragons, Brass Dragons and all other dragons she knew.

That’s not all; she even brought her parents, grandparents, all to help intimidate.

In less than three days, the Golden Dragon had assembled a team for her revenge. She led the flock of dragons and razed the evil city that the villains had created in Bologna to the ground, flattening all buildings visible to the naked eye.

Criminals, Dark Races, Cult Followers of Evil God and all others were massacred under the breath of the group of metal dragons.

The anger of a Golden Dragon rendered the black zone, which had existed between the three countries for hundreds of years, extinct, never to exist again.

“Ah, brother Muria, I was too impulsive then!” remarked the Golden Dragon Sister, Kaslana, as she recounted how she became a lord dragon to Muria.

“What? Do you regret your decision then?” replied Muria, wearing a rather peculiar expression, as he listened to Kaslana recount her previous experiences.

“Yes, I deeply regret it.” Kaslana, standing with Muria atop a mage tower and looking down on the city below, wore a look of deep regret.

“I was too rash back then, I didn’t have to call for so many dragons to help me.

After I vented my anger, I had to compensate the dragons that helped me. All the wealth I had accumulated from childhood was exhausted in that one instance.”

“…”

“I should have just called for my grandfather, a single dragon, at first. No compensation would have been needed.”

“What tier of dragon is your grandfather?” Although she already had a guess, Muria asked to confirm.

“An Ancient Dragon!”

Well, there was no doubt about it, an Ancient Dragon-tier Gold Dragon is nothing short of a legend.

“That was the poorest moment of my dragon life, but also my proudest.

However, after the initial pride, I felt like I had lost out, spending so much money just to vent my anger.

Then, looking at the ruined, scorched wasteland of Bologna that I had destroyed, I decided that I would become the lord of this land. My money should not be spent in vain.”

Muria nodded understandingly. After spending so much money, it was only natural to want to reap something in return.

Suddenly, Muria seemed to remember something. He turned his head and found that his current height only allowed him to see the full and round chest of the Golden Dragon Sister.

“When you announced that Bologna was your territory, what was the reaction of the three surrounding human countries?”

“They were well-informed. Just as I destroyed all the cities on Bologna and declared myself as the lord of Bologna, the next day, these three countries sent people to deliver the Lord’s Appointment Letters and Noble Title Certificates signed by their kings and dukes.”

“So they just directly acknowledged your sovereignty over Bologna?” Muria didn’t think these three countries didn’t care about Bologna at all. Being indifferent because they were bothered didn’t mean they didn’t care.

“My grandparents were present at the time – let them try not to acknowledge it!” Detected Muria’s gaze, Kaslana showed a contented smile and deliberately puffed out her chest.

“Hmm!” After noticing the Golden Dragon Sister’s movements, Muria rubbed his nose, calmly diverted his gaze, and looked down at the bustling city streets below.

In the White Jade Divine Palace, he had seen all sorts of grandeur. Singing sirens, dancing mermaids, large and white. He had seen so much that he was tired of it… well, it seemed that he could never get tired of this. When he was younger, there was no feeling due to his body’s constraints, but now, the feelings were there.

“If the city was designed by you, did you design this castle as well?” After glancing at the closely-packed city below him, Muria cast his eyes on the five mage towers around him that were identical to the one below him, as well as the mage tower in the center of the castle that reached into the clouds and pulled in the surrounding elements, forming a vast elemental vortex.

The position he was currently in was at the center of Bologna, a city that had been rebuilt for nearly a century, the home of the Golden Dragon Sister, Kaslana – a uniquely-shaped castle.

In fact, calling the building under his feet a castle was somewhat inaccurate. When Muria had entered, he had observed that the main structure of this castle was the Mage Tower at the center, which was stirring the vast Elemental Vortex in the sky.

The secondary buildings were six slightly smaller mage towers, including the one under his feet.

Yes, this Golden Dragon Sister, who had just told him that she was once penniless, had built a main and six sub-towers, seven mage towers in total in this city. Then, using the seven mage towers as the main structures, she had constructed the core building of the city of Bologna.

“My grandfather helped me design it.”

“If I’m not mistaken, the true core of this castle is those seven mage towers, isn’t it? I’m very curious, what did you use to construct these seven mage towers at first?”

“Ahem, my parents and grandparents did sponsor me for a portion.”
