Chapter 216 - 216 211 The Lord Dragon Kaslana
Chapter 216: Chapter 211: The Lord Dragon Kaslana Chapter 216: Chapter 211: The Lord Dragon Kaslana “That was not very interesting,” Muria appeared grim next to the group of dragons which had come to watch the fight. He had slashed at the Demon Hunter ten times with his Startling God Battle Axe, and the Demon Hunter simply bore his attacks, not even attempting to retaliate.
Since the latter had no intention of engaging him in the fight, Muria’s desire for combat wasn’t fulfilled at all. He felt frustrated, but there was no other choice. He had fought with everyone he could possibly fight within Valiant tonight, and even sought out those he couldn’t fight for forced challenges.
Muria looked at the red dragon who was still recovering from its injuries, “How long before you fully recover?”
“Perhaps in two or three days!”
“That’s too long, can you fly now?” Muria stared at the red dragon’s wings, which he had snapped earlier, but which now seemed to have healed.
“I can still fly,” The Red Dragon, Otlis, flapped his mostly healed wings a couple of times.
“Alright, let’s go!” Muria nodded, quickly scanning the surroundings with a furrowed brow, “What about those werewolves?”
Of the four werewolves that he had severed into eight parts, there were no traces left except for four pools of filthy blood remaining on the ground.
“Some humans in red robes took them.” Otlis answered with a hint of scorn, “Those petty humans, thinking they could attack me while I was down. But my roar scared them all away.”
Is that so!” Muria glanced over at the divine staff cleaning up the battlefield. His gaze flickered–those werewolves were his spoils of war. The Dawn Church had quietly disappeared with them.
“Don’t worry about it, Muria.” The Golden Dragon Sister, Caslana, sensed something was up and began to speak, “According to the rules of The Dawn Church, those four werewolves will probably be locked up in the Dawn Punishment Office. As the one who defeated them, the church will prepare you a huge bounty as per their customs. Don’t worry, humans dare not neglect us Metallic Dragons.”
“Hmm.”
“What are you planning now?”
“I will first take Otlis and gather his treasures,” said Muria, glancing at the twenty-four green dragons that he had tied up and thrown on the ground, “and then I’ll deal with them.”
“I can help you with that,” Golden Dragon Sister Caslana inspected the bound green dragons, “I can request my grandfather to negotiate and ask Mother Emerald Isra for a ransom.”
“What compensation do I need to give to your grandfather?” Muria asked.
Even among benevolent dragons, one must pay to have another dragon’s aid. This is the very definition of maintaining good relationships among the Metallic Dragon Clan:
But that is not the case for the Five-Color Dragon Clan. They rarely get a chance to clear accounts. Whenever a property dispute arises, fighting is the only solution, even between parents and children. All five-color dragons are inherently indifferent to feelings of kinship.
“No compensation is needed.” The Golden Dragon Sister waved her hand generously, her golden pupils looking at Muria,
“As long as you help me… um.” Caslana glanced at the red and green dragons staring at her curiously, and then she stopped, “No worries about repaying me. If it hadn’t been for you, I would’ve been defeated and caught by these green dragons, losing a lot of face. Hence, I will request my grandfather to help you without any conditions.”
Throughout this conversation, the Green Dragon Fiona said nothing. The group of seven Soul-level Green Dragons and thirty-two Gold-level Green Dragons could have normally overwhelmed Caslana. They were against fleeing dragons, as Green Dragons would not resort to such measures to secure victory.
Even without Muria’s help, Caslana could’ve easily retreated. It would’ve been a mere matter of losing some dignity. After all, the green dragons did not have the capability to seal space like Muria did.
…
“This is your city?” Muria stood high in the sky. Below him was a city with neat city walls, homes, streets, trees, and castles.
This was a city much grander than Valiant, and even though it didn’t have as many people, it was much more orderly. The peaceful and tranquil atmosphere enveloping the city made it very comfortable to Muria.
“Yes, this is the largest city in my territory, Bologna.” Caslana responded with a hint of pride upon hearing Muria’s admiration. She looked at the bustling city below, “I supervised the planning and construction. What do you think?”
“It’s a beautiful city!” Muria exclaimed, admiring the unique Castle in the city centre, “I didn’t expect you to be a lord dragon, Sister Caslana, and own such a prosperous city.”
This was indeed unexpected, the first kin he met after arriving on this subcontinent was not just a renowned mage dragon, but also a lord dragon.
After Muria collected his treasure with the Red Dragon Otlis, the golden Dragon Sister Caslana invited him to her home. Without hesitating, Muria accepted and then what followed was the current view that lay before him.
An elemental vortex, covering nearly a thousand square meters of the sky, slowly rotated above the city ruled by the Golden Dragon. Its brilliant colours made it a sight to behold.
In the centre of the vortex was a Mage Tower that reached into the clouds. The vortex was shaped by the near-thousand-meter high Mage Tower.
“Welcome to my castle.” Caslana looked at the relaxed smile on Muria’s face and sighed inwardly. She could see that when Muria called her castle “beautiful”, he was just being polite.
But she had to admit, it would be utterly normal for the son of her idol not to lose his composure, unlike those rural dragons who would gasp in awe at the sight of her domain and city.
The green dragons and red dragons next to Muria were looking greedily at this prosperous city, but when they saw the huge vortex and the Mage Towers in the city, they all shrank their necks in fear.
This was not a city they could covet–even if they tried to raid Bologna, they would end up running away with their tails between their legs after a battering—even the Red Winged Otlis would not be spared.
“By the way, Sister Caslana, where in Ionia is your territory?” Since he had traveled an immense distance through a phase gate to reach the skies above Bologna, Muria was curious as he didn’t know where he was.
“My territory is located at the junction of the Norton Kingdom, the Baiye Duchy, and the Stan Duchy,” Caslana answered.
