Chapter 214: Chapter 209 Final Words Chapter 214: Chapter 209 Final Words “Redeem yourself? With treasures you have gathered yourself?” Mureya quizzically glanced at the Red Dragon, Otlis.
“Yes!” A hint of trepidation entered the Red Dragon Otlis’s eyes under Mureya’s gaze, but he continued to reply despite the fear.
“What nonsense are you spouting?” Mureya raised an eyebrow at the Red Dragon, who had collapsed on the ground, weakened and devoid of his power. “When you were captured by me, your treasures ceased to be yours.”
“…” The Red Dragon lifted his head abruptly, glaring angrily at Mureya. To any dragon, their treasures are their lifeline.
“All the treasures you’ve gathered are now mine. You have nothing to do with a single copper of it.” Mureya stretched out his hand and made a grabbing motion. The Sword of Demon Purge, embedded into the Red Dragon, vibrated and soared into the sky, falling towards his hand.
In this process, the three-decade-long weapon shrank to match the human-sized Heavy Sword of Mureya.
“Hmm,” Mureya held the Sword of Demon Purge, looking at a thin layer of faint red light enveloping the blade, the ancient divine text engraved on the back of the sword was also emitting a faint light. He nodded with satisfaction.
Mureya looked down at the red dragon, a shocking wound puncturing its dragon body. Not a single drop of Dragon Blood had poured out.
Remember, the Sword of Demon Purge was stabbed into the heart. Now, as the sword left, no dragon blood oozed out. This shows how savagely the sword had devoured Red Dragon Otlis. It took orders seriously from Mureya, leaving the dragon with a sliver of life but consuming its power to the maximum in order to strengthen itself.
“Not bad!” Mureya flicked the blade of the Sword of Demon Purge. After producing a deep sword hum, the divine weapon that could grow along with Mureya transformed into a sword light and entered his body.
“Hmm!” Mureya grunted slightly. He discovered that the Sword of Demon Purge, after devouring most of the Red Dragon’s power, was feeding him the Dragon’s essence.
After being refined by the Sword of Demon Purge, it slowly released into his bloodline, quietly enhancing his physical strength and elevating his power silently.
“Let’s do this!” Sensing his gradually strengthening physique, Mureya looked down at Red Dragon Otlis, a smile of kindness played on his lips. “I am a very kind and reasonable dragon, so, I will offer you two choices.
Your first option is to submit to me. As a principled dragon, the king cannot be greedy for his follower’s treasures. So, the treasures you’ve collected are still yours, I won’t take a single copper.”
Your other choice is freedom. If you don’t follow me, I won’t force you. But freedom always comes at a price, doesn’t it? For a defeated dragon, all your treasures will belong to me, and you shall be banished.”
“Otlis of the Blood-red Wings, make your choice.”
“Mureya, dear brother, you call that a choice?” After listening to Mureya, The Golden Dragon Sister contacted him telepathically with an impassive face.
Meanwhile, all surrounding green dragons looked at Mureya speechlessly. Confiscating all a dragon’s treasures and then banishing him is considered kindness? It’s the cruelest punishment for the dragon race without having to take their life.
A dragons’ treasure is equivalent to half of their life.
“I have absolutely no choice here.” Otlis of the Blood-red Wings looked at Mureya with frustration boiling inside him.
“No, you do have a choice: freedom.” Mureya cheerily responded to Otlis.
“To hell with your freedom. What will I need freedom for if all my treasures are gone?” The red dragon roared in his heart, although he remained composed on the surface.
“Descendant of the great Dragon King, I…”
“My name is Mureya, Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas!”
“Great Prince Mureya, I, the Red Dragon Otlis, pledge my loyalty to you, to follow you always, to fight for you.”
For the sake of his own treasure, this obstinate aged Red Dragon didn’t hesitate for long before choosing to submit to Mureya.
“Eat up, recover some strength.” Seeing the submissive Red Dragon, Mureya was in high spirits. Spotting the dragon’s injured body, devoid of any signs of recovery, he took out a Fire Element Crystal from his Space Ring and tossed it at the dragon’s mouth.
Seeing the Fire Element Crystal near its mouth, the Red Dragon, whose scales had lost their luster, and whose body had dried due to the injuries, hesitated for a moment and didn’t swallow it immediately.
Despite its weakened body urging it to swallow the Fire Element Crystal and replenish its energy, the natural greed of the Dragon Race caused it to suppress its appetite. It wanted to keep this Elemental Crystal rather than consume it.
“The greed of Dragonkind is truly incurable.” Mureya looked at the hesitant Red Dragon, seemingly wanting to keep the Elemental Crystal. He lightly tugged at the corner of his mouth. He had seen plenty of dragons like this one in the Titan Clan Lands. “I command you to eat this Elemental Crystal.”
The sword wound on its back, which ran through its heart, showed no signs of healing. Yet, this injured dragon was still thinking of hoarding wealth rather than recovering.
“You can’t even fly right now! And you’re still thinking of gathering wealth,” Mureya scolded. “Hurry up and eat, recover your wounds. Then, I’ll take you to gather all of your treasure.”
“What are you trying to do? Didn’t you promise not to touch a copper piece of my treasures if I submit to you?” Hearing Mureya talking about gathering his treasure, the Red Dragon Otlis was suddenly alarmed.
“I intend to traverse all of Elasia. As my follower, of course, you will join me. As for your treasure, do you plan to leave it behind or take it with us?”
“Explore all of Elasia!”
After the Red Dragon’s eyes ran through several times, it lowered its head and bit down on the Elemental Crystal. It chewed a couple of times with a crunching sound and swallowed the crystal. A faint red spirit light flashed on its body.
The sound of water started forming within its body, sounding somewhat viscous. After replenishing its lost blood, the Dragon began to regenerate blood.
The flesh around the sword wound through its heart started to wriggle. The Dragon scales shattered by Mureya came off, and the roots began to grow anew. The broken bones slowly moved back into place before healing.
All injuries began to heal. It was not that this Elemental Crystal had such great power, but that the Sword of Demon Purge consumed too heavily, causing an old Red Dragon wounded to lose its self-healing ability of the Dragon Race.
This Elemental Crystal was merely a catalyst, restoring the Red Dragon’s self-healing ability.
As the Red Dragon healed, countless red dots scattered in the atmosphere, rushed in, immersed into its body, making the Dragon appear as if it was engulfed in flames…
As Red Dragon Otlis was healing, a silver-white dot of light appeared above Valiant. It flickered several times and then exploded into a halo that expanded rapidly. Innumerable bat corpses, carrying dirty blood, fell from the sky.
Among them, a knight wreathed in a silver-white aura, wielding two chic curved swords with handles wrapped in chains, appeared mid-air…
