Chapter 203 - 203 198 Green Dragon Tribe
Chapter 203: Chapter 198: Green Dragon Tribe Chapter 203: Chapter 198: Green Dragon Tribe “Boom!” “Boom!” “Boom!”…
Golden fireballs suddenly appear, striking without warning both the four Soul Intent Level werewolves and the swarm of bats that seem to blanket the entire city with their numbers.
Caught completely off guard, the four Soul Intent Level werewolves, whether aloft or on the ground, are hurled to the floor. In four different locations within the city of Valiant, practically all at the same time, large pits begin to form, burning and crystallizing at the bottom. In each pit, one of the werewolves lay, each in a different posture yet all with fur scorched black.
The swarm of bats that had formed a canopy over Valiant’s sky, concealing all the moonlight and starlight, also bore the brunt of four enormous explosive fireballs, creating huge voids within their ranks and allowing the moonlight to cascade down once more. All the bats caught within the blast radius are reduced to ashes, never to exist again.
But only for a moment, the moonlight was obscured again as the swarm of bats that had evaded the attack swiftly filled up the voids. The abrupt appearance of the fireballs indeed took the four Marquises of the Blood Clan by surprise, each one losing tens of thousands of their bat counterparts. They suffered a small setback.
And that was it. Even among beings of the same Soul Intent Level, there was a wide gap in innate abilities between different species, making it difficult to kill them instantly with a surprise attack. The difference between upper-class bloodsuckers and the Gold Dragon Race wasn’t so huge that they would be obliterated by just one sneak attack.
The high-ranking werewolves, who had been plotzed into four meteoric craters by Kaslana’s sneak attack, also managed to get up. The charred fur and necrotic flesh which had made them seem quite pitiful rapidly fell off, replaced by swift regrowth of new flesh and fur. They quickly recovered their former menacing appearance.
“Howl!” One of the ambushed werewolves roared in fury, “Guardians of Dawn! You Gold Dragons aren’t the only dragons in this world! Do you really think one dragon is enough to protect all the Demon Hunters?”
“Merely several despicable evil creatures.” Floating above the city’s protective shield, a blonde woman wielding a magic staff stepped forward. Behind her, a golden dragon shadow possessing an aura of nobility and elegance emerged, its invisible Dragon Prestige radiated out, driving away all the surrounding bats.
“Kaslana!” One of the marquises from the Blood Clan uttered in a hushed tone, the fear on his face was not concealed. A Gold Dragon that surpassed their ranks, and among the Gold Dragons, a renowned mage of genius level. Their combined power could almost take on that of Kaslana alone.
With her presence, they did not need to worry about anything else. What a pity, however, that this Gold Dragon was too ostentatious, her existence revealed as soon as she arrived at the city, allowing them a chance to be prepared. Had she chosen to hide and lay in wait from the start, they would indeed have had no choice but to retreat.
“Roar!” A long and raging dragon roar was heard. On a hill not far from the outskirts of Valiant City, a vast teleportation light appeared, shooting towards the sky to form a large beam of light. Within the beam, a Crimson Dragon Shadow encircling violent flames twirled and then set off towards Valiant.
“The genius of the Gold Dragon Race, Guardian of Dawn, Kaslana! Your name has rung in my ears for far too long; today, I finally have the chance to challenge you.”
A nearly hundred-meter long Red Dragon spread its wings, bringing with it an aura of brutality and ferocity that swept through everything in its wake. Wherever it passed, countless middle to lower tier werewolves that had come with the four Soul Intent Level werewolves fell to the ground. Some of the weaker werewolves ignited in flames under the fierce force of the Red Dragon and disintegrated into ashes amidst their shrill cries.
“Crimson Disaster, Otlis! Guardian of Dawn, your Excellency, look, we, the Werewolf race, have invited this Red Dragon to be your opponent. What do you think?”
How to deal with a strong dragon? Quite simple, pay money, hire a stronger dragon from an opposing faction.
“An elderly Red Dragon.” Looking at the Red Dragon, which was brazenly showing off its power, its dragon body surrounded by flames, and completely displaying its destroy-all domain, the Gold Dragon sister, Kaslana, furrowed her brows.
Crimson Disaster, a very infamous Evil Dragon, because all it needs is one more step to become a legend. Unless a legendary one interferes, under normal circumstances, no one can do anything to him.
This Elderly Red Dragon at the peak of Soul Intent required her utmost caution. After all, she was at the Fourth Tier Soul Intent and yet to reach the Peak of Soul Intent. Even though Gold Dragons always have the upper hand when fighting against Red Dragons of the same age, but now, there was a huge age difference.
“Oh, you wolves have actually invited a Soul Intent Level Red Dragon to aid. Quite an expense for you.”
“Crimson Wing, Otlis, one of the strongest Evil Dragons under Ionia’s Legend. What do you think?” A werewolf wearing a smirk gazed at the swarm of bats around them. “We, the werewolves, have invited such a powerful Evil Dragon to deal with this Gold Dragon, surely the Blood Clan hasn’t been sitting idle, right?”
“Don’t lump us Blood Clan together with you poor, uncultivated wolves!” Standing next to that boastful werewolf, hundreds of bats coalesced into a slender young girl, who disdainfully looked at the smug Soul Intent Level werewolf.
“What’s there to be proud of inviting a Red Dragon? Look at what we have got here to face this Gold Dragon!”
“Roar!” “Roar!”…The air was filled with resonating roars of dragons. Under the befuddled gaze of several werewolves at the Soul Intent Level, a large teleportation vortex came into existence within the swarm of bats formulating the Bat Marquis of the Blood Clan.
And then, a green dragon of nearly the same size as Crimson Disaster squeezed through the teleportation gate, swiftly followed by more green dragons of various sizes. In no time at all, more than thirty emerald green dragon shadows soared over Valiant City.
“You Blood Clan actually…” Seeing the sky filled with green dragon shadows, including the few werewolves at the Soul Intent Level, all of the werewolves were left dumbfounded. No one had expected the Blood Clan to go to such lengths.
“We simply invited the entire Green Dragon Tribe, what’s there to be surprised about.” The Bat Marquis, who had taken the shape of a young lady with vampire-red eyes, was pleased to see the astonished look on the high-ranking werewolf nearby. With an unaffected face, she said in a nonchalant tone.
“You…” At hearing the smugness in the Bat Marquis’ words, the Soul Intent Level werewolf was livid. He glanced at his tribe’s foreign aid, the once awe-inspiring, fearsome Red Dragon, now reduced to a solitary figure, somehow appearing pitiable.
…
“So many Five Colored Dragons.” Within Valiant City, on the roof of a building, a black-haired young man with golden pupils looked up at the dragon shadows in the sky, whispering softly. Behind him, the vague figures of nine divine weapons seemed ready to materialize at any moment, soaring into the sky to stake their claim.
