King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 193 - 193 188 Low Key
Chapter 193: Chapter 188: Low Key Chapter 193: Chapter 188: Low Key “This is indeed an excellent choice.” Kaslana laughed, “The humans who can wear the Demon Hunter Armor are true knights who are undoubtedly of exceptional character. They are the best choice for making friends.”
“Humility, honor, sacrifice, valor, mercy, spirit, honesty, justice! A human who can adhere to these eight principles is naturally qualified to be my friend.” Muria smiled, “But now, the question is, how do we find this Demon Hunter Knight?”
“Let’s go. We should first go to the place where this Demon Hunter Knight fought, to see if we can track him.”
Kaslana shot up into the sky and headed towards the rising column of gray-black smoke in Valiant City. The spirit light radiating from her body flowed into a magnificent golden rainbow behind her.
“Isn’t that audacious!” Muria watched as the undisguised Golden Dragon Sister flew over Valiant City and then looked at the city residents below, who had an awestruck expression on their faces when they noticed her.
“I must be out of my mind.” Muria dismissed the awe-stricken faces of the three extortionists kneeling and not daring to get up, knocked his head, “This is the Human Kingdom after all, I just need to conceal my Titan Bloodline and disguise myself as a vibrant Golden Dragon. Keeping a low profile is unnecessary.
If I’m too low-key, all kinds of messy things will find me, which is kind of a nuisance.”
After mulling over this thought, Muria too soared into the sky and quickly caught up with the Golden Dragon Sister Kaslana and kept pace with her.
Regarding the Human Race’s secret history they had just discussed, Muria wasn’t the least bit worried that the humans below had heard it and would spread it around. After all, he was communicating in Dragon Language, not something petty thieves from the city’s underbelly could understand.
…
“So this is Marquis Mendoza?” Muria stood above a ruined castle that covered almost one-tenth of Valiant City, looking at a dismembered humanoid demon beast among the ruins. The head, hands, feet, chest, abdomen, wings, tail. Once complete, this enormous humanoid demon beast, which was over forty meters tall when standing on the ground, was now thoroughly dead. All of its limbs were chopped off and scattered around the ruined castle, in a rather tragic state.
“The remains of a Soul Intent Level demon beast. It should be him.” The Golden Dragon Sister Kaslana, standing next to Muria, looked down at the fragments below, “According to the description of the Red-clothed Grand Archbishop of the Dawn Temple, he personally witnessed Mendoza transform into a Soul Intent Level demon beast.”
“Demon Beast?” Muria reached out, made a grabbing motion at the ground, and a massive claw covered in black scales floated up in front of him, “This aura is very close to the devils in hell. This Marquis has fully fallen, he is no longer human, no wonder he was slain by the Demon Hunter Knight.”
“These are the flames left by the Demon Hunter Knight.” Seeing the massive claw that Muria grabbed, capable of crushing both of them, the Golden Dragon Sister looked at the cut on this claw where crimson flames were burning.
“I will try to use it to track the Demon Hunter Knight.” The Golden Dragon Sister Kaslana reached out and grabbed a strand of the flame, and began to cast a detection spell to track the owner of the flame.
Muria watched the Golden Dragon Sister fumbling around, and began to examine the massive claw in front of him, almost four to five meters long. This claw was very similar to a human palm, with five fingers, but covered in black scales, and had shiny metal-like nails on the fingertips, just like five short blades.
“All life completely eradicated, a very tyrannical power.” Muria closely sensed the claw in front of him, especially the clean break on the wrist and the flames stuck above it.
A Gold-level lifeform possesses the ability to regenerate limbs, their bodies have reached a state of near perfection, with only the heart and brain left as their final weaknesses.
After upgrading to the Soul Intent Level, the robust vitality and further enhanced life essence significantly reduced his physical weaknesses; even the heart was no longer a vulnerability.
The palm before his eyes was intriguing. Although it exuded the pressure of a Soul Intent Level, it lacked the vital energy characteristic of that level. It was as lifeless as an inanimate object.
“Tsk!” Muria flicked the palm with a sharp tendril of qi. It struck the black scales ont he palm, ringing with the sound like a clash of metal, “The defense is still there. It hasn’t been compromised.”
“Hu!” Sister Caslana, the Golden Dragon, sighed deeply, “I can’t find it. The Heaven’s Wrath Knight is hiding too well.”
“It’s normal if you can’t find him. If he could be found that easily, he wouldn’t be a Heaven’s Wrath Knight.”
“Let’s go, little brother. We should go back to the temple and wait.”
“Wait for what?” Muria was a bit puzzled.
“Wait for those humans who harbour ill intents towards the Heaven’s Wrath Knight to take action. When they do, we can follow suit.” Kaslana’s eyes flickered coldly, then she quickly resumed the demeanor of a gentle and understanding older sister.
Then, with a teasing smile, she looked at Muria, “Little brother, this time, a Legendary Mage might take action. Are you scared?”
“A Legendary Mage will take action?” Muria furrowed his eyebrows but then let them relax, “You’re suggesting that the Hundred Leaves Mage will target the Heaven’s Wrath Knight?”
“There’s a possibility, considering they aren’t from the same bloodline. However, it’s hard to understand what goes on in the mind of a legend.”
“Marquis Mendoza was a fallen one, he was killed because he brought it upon himself. What right does the Hundred Leaves Mage have to cause trouble for the Heaven’s Wrath Knight?”
“Little brother, you’re still too young. The Hundred Leaves Mage doesn’t care about such things, he doesn’t trouble himself with the concepts of good and evil. The factor that would determine whether the Hundred Leaves Mage acts or not is the standing of Marquis Mendoza in his heart, not whether he is fallen or not.”
“Not discerning between good or evil, or rather, not caring about good or evil.” Muria murmured, his fists clenching silently.
However, Muria soon relaxed his fists. With a teasing smile, he looked at the Golden Dragon Sister, “Sister Caslana, what do you think? If the person who struck down Mendoza was a Legendary Heaven’s Wrath Knight, would the Hundred Leaves Mage run away as far as he could, even giving up his Duchy?”
“Definitely. Moreover, the Hundred Leaves Mage will do everything possible to distance himself from Mendoza.” Hearing Muria’s hypothesis, Caslana revealed a smile, answering very seriously.
“Heh, to put it simply, it all comes down to power. In the end, it’s survival of the fittest.” Muria chuckled, tossing the claw in his hand away.
The reason why he was so low key was because he knew too much and considered himself too weak. If he had the power of an Epic, he’d be as flamboyant as he could be. Why maintain a low profile? Low key, only because of his weakness.
