King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 182 - 182 177 Dragon Prestige
Chapter 182: Chapter 177: Dragon Prestige Chapter 182: Chapter 177: Dragon Prestige In a short period of time, Muria watched as the girl’s decaying face constantly oozed out grey fog, and then, at a speed visible to the naked eye, began to heal rapidly.
Soon after, a delicate face, pale with no hint of blood, appeared before everyone. This was the girl’s true appearance.
“Such a pity!” Someone in the crowd sighed with regret after seeing the girl’s restored face.
“Indeed, such a good girl, cursed like this, truly a pity. Luckily, she’s now back to normal.”
…Hearing these sympathetic murmurs from the crowd, Muria glanced at them, a trace of contempt in her eyes.
Initially, when the girl’s face was rotting away, no one showed any sympathy. Now that the girl has regained her beauty, their sympathy starts to show.
Really, these shallow humans! Such a nuisance!
“Is she cured now?” Muria asked.
“Not yet!” The High Priest’s spirit light was still shining, he was still performing the Divine Art, “The curse on her is not just on her face, this girl’s whole body is covered in sores caused by the curse. It’s hard to imagine how a child her age could bear such pain.”
The grey fog was still rising from the girl. Her pale face gradually gained a faint flush, and her originally tightly closed eyes fluttered a little, as if about to open.
“Her life force seems a bit weak,” said Muria, rubbing her chin while looking at the girl lying on the ground.
“She’s been cursed for too long. Without external supplementation, even if I dispel the curse on her, she won’t live for long,” the priest sighed and shook his head.
“Not live for long?” Muria saw the boy, Solon’s face turn pale instantly, “Give me a specific time.”
“Approximately ten to fifteen years, then the life of this girl will end.”
“That short?” Muria raised an eyebrow in surprise, such a short period of time really was too brief especially to beings with eternal life. An old Giant Dragon doesn’t even take a nap that short.
“Ten years.” A glimmer of hope flared in Solon’s eyes as he eagerly looked at the High Priest treating his sister, “Priest, please tell me, what can supply my sister with life force and prolong her life?”
“There are many things that can replenish your sister’s life force,” replied the priest, rummaging in his bag for a crystal bottle. He then uncorked the bottle and slowly poured its contents into the girl’s mouth.
“Take for instance, the Holy Water essence in my hand.”
As the milky white, divine Holy Water flowed into the girl’s mouth, her complexion quickly flushed and her life force began to surge.
Muria gazed at the scene in surprise, pausing her movements. She too had been planning to take out something to supplement the girl’s life force. She had brought several bottles of the Tree of Life’s sap with her, just in case anything happened.
“She’s recovered!” Solon drank in the sight of his sister’s swiftly improving complexion after she sipped the milky liquid. He then hesitated before asking the High Priest, “High Priest, how can I get this essence of Holy Water?”
“Quite simple, just purchase it from the temple,” replied the High Priest blandly.
“How much?”
“Twenty gold coins.”
“That’s fine!” Solon breathed a sigh of relief, twenty gold coins were within his means.
“Per drop.”
And then Solon’s face went blank. Looking at the Holy Water essence flowing into his sister’s mouth, he felt if a hammer hit his chest. His face quickly turned white; this small bottle held at least a hundred drops of Holy Water essence, meaning, his sister had consumed more than thousands of gold coins’ worth.
“High Priest, I don’t have that much money!” Solon had beads of sweat forming on his forehead, over a thousand gold coins, even if Solon sold himself, he couldn’t afford it.
“You don’t need to worry about that, consider this bottle of Holy Water essence as a gift from…” The words hadn’t left his mouth when his gaze landed on Muria.
“Why are you looking at me?” Muria took a half step back, her face full of confusion.
“Didn’t you step in for this young man?” asked the priest, “Help out till the end, pay for the treatment.”
“You were about to say it was a gift just now.”
“Was I?” The High Priest grinned at Muria, he was sure that the black-haired, golden-pupiled boy before him was really of the Lawful Good Alignment, although just a bit impulsive. Hence, his attitude changed.
“I’ll round it up for you, one thousand five hundred gold coins.”
“No.” Muria’s face darkened as she flatly refused. She didn’t have a single coin on her, to be precise, she didn’t have any currency used by humans.
“Oh.” The High Priest nodded then turned to Solon, “From now on, you owe me one thousand five hundred gold coins. Starting from tomorrow, you should start preparing…”
“…” Muria’s mouth twitched. She threw a few nuggets of gold onto the priest’s table – which were incidentally taken from the black dragon she had disciplined earlier.
“Is that enough?”
“It’s enough.” The High Priest happily pocketed the gold nuggets Muria had thrown at him, unperturbed by her attitude, since he had a hypothesis about Muria’s identity.
“Boom!”
Just then, the ground began shaking lightly, resonating with the galloping of horses on several streets leading to the Dawn Temple square, stirring up clouds of dust.
The forces that were alarmed by Muria breaking the temple’s defensive array earlier, had now finally prepared themselves. Their scattered forces had been assembled into four cavalries, and they were charging towards the location of the temple.
“Lord Anluo, hold on!” The voices of encouragement reached the temple before the men did. Amidst the noise of hoofbeats and horses’ neighs, the crowd watching the spectacle was thrown into chaos, knowing the consequences of standing in the path of a cavalry charge, the crowd scattered hastily.
“Aren’t you going to act?” The High Priest looked at Muria, whose eyes were filled with an inexplicable light. The girl beside him was no longer exuding grey fog, “Just wait a little longer, and there will be casualties. Can you still bear to watch?”
“Disgusting! I hate disorder.” Glancing at the chaos spreading among the crowd, and the numerous cavalry banners, with diverse armor, Muria sneered, “Disorganized mob!”
Next, “Boom!” A golden Dragon Prestige erupted from Muria’s small body, instantly covering everything in her line of sight. Everything stagnated under this pressure, frozen in place.
