King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 180 - 180 175 A Major Uproar

Chapter 180: Chapter 175: A Major Uproar Chapter 180: Chapter 175: A Major Uproar “Is there nobody to call for me?” Muria shook her head as she saw the remaining five temple guards standing still.

“In that case, I’ll go find one myself!”

And with that, the black-haired boy with golden pupils began his stride towards the temple under the watchful gaze of the crowd.

“Stop!”

“What are you trying to do? This is the revered temple of the Master of Dawn.”

Watching Muria’s actions, the faces of the five temple guards changed. They drew their long swords and fearfully stood between Muria and the temple.

… There was no change in Muria’s expression. With a single slap, she sent the last guard who had just insulted the boy flying. Then, with a slight lift of her hand, four flashes of spirit light followed.

Second-Circle, Human Paralysis Spell!

Under the horrified gaze of the four temple guards, their bodies became rigid, completely immobilized. They were actually immobilized.

How can this be? They were guards of the temple, they should be directly immune to these second-circle spells, so why were they affected?

“Four Bronze Three Level, trying to be immune to my magic!” Muria curled her lips as she caught the bewildered and frightened looks of the temple guards, “What do you think I am? Bronze-level thinking they can ignore my second-circle spell, even if the first generation human divine descendants came, they would barely suffice.”

Muria walked up to the temple gate. Just as she was about to step inside, one after another, divine patterns floated up from the walls and floor of the temple and rapidly intertwined to form a protective array. A faint golden light that resembled the early morning sun rose up to form a semi-circular shield, covering the entire temple.

All of this happened in a split second. Although Muria had the chance to stop and destroy it, she didn’t, because the fleeting divine patterns had caught her attention.

“A simplified Ancient Divine Text?” Muria squinted and thought, but the pattern was fleeting and quickly formed the light barrier, she didn’t remember much, “Interesting, the deities of today sure know how to make things fun.”

… When the defensive array of the temple was activated, the crowd watching the scene instantly erupted.

“That young man is done for. Assaulting the temple amounts to offending the deities, a capital offence.”

“Heh, I don’t care about that, I just want to know what he’s going to do now?”

“Maybe he will break the temple’s shield, then storm in and drag out a priest to rid this ugly…um, young girl of her curse.” An onlooker dressed as an adventurer laughed. It was clear to anyone that the boy with black hair and golden pupils had no respect for the temple whatsoever.

“Breaking the defense of the temple? What nonsense are you speaking? This is the esteemed temple of the Master of Dawn, the largest temple in Red Leaf City with the strongest defense array.”

“That’s right, I heard that seventeen years ago, three gold-class monsters, along with a wave of other creatures, broke the outer city walls. All the city’s residents took shelter in the temple district. The temple of the Master of Dawn housed the most civilians, so it attracted the most monsters.”

“Three gold-class monsters and thousands of others besieged the temple for three days and nights, but they couldn’t break the temple’s magic array and finally chose to retreat helplessly.”

“Even if he controls a silver-class gigantic wolf, at most he’s gold-rank if not how could he take on the temple’s magic array?”

“Ah, too impulsive. If he truly is gold rank, our temple in Red Leaf City should show him some respect and assign a priest to cure this girl.”

“Exactly, too impulsive, now that the temple has activated the array, it’s too late for anything.”

… Listening to the discussions behind her, Muria twitched her mouth: Summer insects cannot speak of ice, after all this is just a small city. People here, like frogs at the bottom of a well, can’t see the vast world outside. This temple’s defense, in their eyes, is the strongest defense in the world, unbreakable.

But,

“This is a mere Gold-Rank magic array, using divine power that’s been diluted countless times as its energy source.” Muria looked at the light screen in front of him, raised his hand, and pressed against it, “This kind of defense…”

“Can be broken with a wave of a hand!” Spider-web-like cracks sprouted beneath his palm, rapidly spreading out. “Crack!” A sharp and earsplitting sound of shattering erupted. In mere moments, the light screen enveloping the whole temple exploded into countless glowing specks that slowly dissipated in the air, a breathtaking sight.

“…” At the instant the temple’s magic array shattered, the chattering crowd fell silent, all staring dumbfounded at what was happening before them.

“Is this some kind of joke?” A commoner murmured to himself. He was a believer of the Master of Dawn, but now, his faith was shaking.

Because the magic array, which he’d believed was unbreakable, had been shattered by a single slap.

At the same moment the temple’s array shattered, Red Leaf City, this small city, instantly buzzed with chatter. The temple dedicated to the Master of Dawn was the city’s most significant building. Hence, when it summoned its defensive array, everyone in the city could witness it.

Therefore, when Muria shattered the magic array, all factions were alarmed. Temples worshipping other deities, and nobles controlling Red Leaf City, rushed to investigate the situation, keen to figure out what exactly had transpired.

However, Muria wasn’t concerned about such matters right now. He was stepping into the temple, heading towards the strongest entity he sensed—an entity seemingly no stronger than a Silver-Rank’s aura.

“Audacious, who dares to offend the great Master of Dawn?”

“Presumptuous, wicked one, get out!”

…As Muria stepped into the temple, over a dozen temple guards, clad similarly to those outside, drew their swords and rushed at him without hesitation. Clearly, they considered Muria a wicked intruder—who from the Good Camp would assault a temple?

Joining the rushing guards were priests in white robes, grasping magic staffs in one hand, and either a nail-head hammer or a shield in the other. They looked extraordinarily fierce.

“Close-quarters Combat Priests!” Seeing these fierce white-robed priests, who looked even more formidable than warriors, a smile appeared on Muria’s face, “Not bad.”

Next, a magic staff as tall as Muria appeared in his hand. Muria gripped his staff, slightly lifted it, and gently pounded the ground. Infinite blue-white thunderbolts erupted from the Wand of the End’s silver and nine-color rune-inlaid shaft, bombarding all the temple personnel who attacked him.

…Outside, the onlookers saw Muria shatter the temple’s defense and enter the temple, only to see a few thunderbolts flash at the temple’s entrance afterward. Then, the crowd heard the concentrated screams and curses, which were followed by silence.

Members of the crowd looked at each other in shock, in dead silence—was he planning to slaughter everyone inside the temple? Thinking of this, many looked at the giant wolf that Muria had left behind, their legs trembling before they left the scene hastily.

Solon, a young boy holding a dagger, looked blankly at everything happening before him. He looked at the temple guards who’d collapsed, coughing up blood, and four temple guards immobilized—he’d asked for help, but from what kind of existence? Someone who’d just waltzed into the temple—how was this person planning to assist him? The boy’s mind went blank.

Not long afterward, unhurried footsteps broke the stillness in the temple square. This was the sound of a boot hitting the ground. Those still on the scene immediately focused their gaze on the entrance of the temple, expecting something to happen.

Soon after, the black-haired, golden-pupiled youth reappeared before the crowd. It looked like he was holding a chain, having dragged something out from within the temple.

Once Muria left the temple, the crowd instantly understood what he was dragging behind him—it was a middle-aged man in a white robe with gold trims, suspended mid-air.

“The High Priest!”

“The High Priest!”

Voices filled with fear rang out in front of the temple square—these were from believers and adventurers who recognized the man’s identity.

“Hiss!” The crowd gasped in astonishment once again.
