King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 163 - 163 158 Interference
Chapter 163: Chapter 158: Interference Chapter 163: Chapter 158: Interference “Archmage Atris!”
In the resplendently illuminated hall of the Crystal Castle, a rift in space emerged above the throne, made of a mixture of fifteen types of legendary metals. This rift then spread out, from within the black crevice, shrouded in a hazy golden light, came a young girl with loose flowing hair as she stepped out.
Then, quite naturally, the girl sat upon the stone throne, looking down where neatly lined up on both sides, “humans” bowed to her. Among them, at the forefront on the left line, stood the striking blonde head maid, Sophia, possessing a beauty that bore some resemblance to the Golden Dragon Mother.
“Hmm!” The Golden Dragon Mother, Atris, gazed downwards, nodding slightly, carrying a natural authority inherent to those at the top.
“Archmage Atris, how much Legendary Metal did you manage to retrieve that young Master Muria has taken away?” At that moment, the head maid in the front of the line took a step forward, exuding radiance from her faint smile as she questioned the Golden Dragon Mother.
“He forged it all into weaponry.” Golden Dragon Mother, wearing a complex expression, said, “I couldn’t retrieve any!”
“This…” Hearing this news, the head maid was startled, then reveled in the unexpected joy, “Master Muria truly has extraordinary talent, to have used up all of the Legendary Metals already.”
Behind the head maid, the “humans” were also left stunned by this news which led to a flurry of whispers among them. In the blink of an eye, scales, horns, wings, tails, and the like were revealed. These were not humans at all, but rather monsters who had reluctantly been transformed into human shape.
These monsters were well aware of the huge amount of Legendary Metals that Muria had stolen.
Moreover, they knew what it would take for the Titan to forge his exclusive weapon. As followers of the Golden Dragon Mother, they have some understanding as to what it may have taken, as the head maid Sophia had recently explained to them.
“Silence!” Gazing at the noise below, the Golden Dragon Mother’s brow furrowed, reprimanding them, “Maintain your human guise properly!”
“Archmage Atris, please forgive them!” Sophia, looking at the slightly angered Golden Dragon Mother, soothingly advised, “It is difficult for them to maintain a human form.”
“What’s so hard about it?” The Golden Dragon Mother displayed her displeasure, “Every single one of the Five Colored Dragons under Little Muria can perform a shape-shifting spell. You’re telling me that you’re not even comparable to a bunch of un-grown dragons?”
“…” Below, those non-human entities glanced at each other, laughing awkwardly without speaking. They were monsters forcibly subdued by the Golden Dragon Mother by means of force; all of them were essentially wild and unruly, relying heavily on their innate talents.
Learning magic, especially that which allows one to assume a human form, was like forcing a square peg into a round hole.
“Does every giant dragon know magic!? It seems that young Master Muria has indeed put in a lot of effort with these dragons.”
“Yeah, that’s why, I’ve thrown all his dragons all over the world. Then, he will definitely leave here obediently to look for the dragons that he has painstakingly nurtured.”
“So, Master Muria will joyfully travel around the world in search of his dragons.”
“Exactly.”
“Archmage Atris!” The headmaid Sophia looked at the young girl sitting on the grand metal throne, “Even if Master Muria had not stolen your Legendary Metals, you would still find excuses to exile Master Muria’s dragons to various parts of the world, right?”
“Sophia, this is not a valid argument. Regardless, Muria definitely will come back to my castle, steal my Legendary Metals. Everything is under my control.” The Golden dragon mother confidently asserted.
“Then Master Muria, who emptied half of your treasury and plundered your most valuable collection of treasures, was he under your control too?” Sophia softly asked.
“…” The Golden Dragon Mother’s face darkened slightly. She had not expected Muria to come so prepared. “Sophia, you were present then. Why didn’t you stop little Muria? With your abilities, even after thirty years, little Muria would not have been a match for you.”
“Didn’t you order me to accommodate Master Muria as much as possible and not to interfere in his actions? I acted according to your instructions.”
“So, Angelia!” Atris pointed at the armrest of the throne, “Come out and explain yourself.”
“Master!” Countless spirit lights gathered in front of the Golden Dragon Mother’s throne, and then, a black-haired golden-eyed loli, who was extremely similar to Muria in human form, appeared. Her face looked extremely similar to Muria’s, as if she was a cute, miniature version of Muria!
“According to your request, I have adjusted the level of the defensive array in the castle to the lowest to facilitate Muria’s breakthrough,”
“So, you just stood by and watched little Muria steal all of my treasures without doing anything to stop her.”
“You didn’t issue any related commands,” said Angelia, the spirit of Crystal Castle, with a serious face.
“Oh!” The Golden Dragon Mother rested one hand on her forehead and sighed, “Why did I create you, wasn’t it to protect my treasures?”
“No, according to my calculations, the main reason you created me was because Muria is male, not female, and does not meet your expectations. You wanted a daughter, so, I was born.”
“Angelia, this is not a justification for you to stand by while Muria steals my treasures.”
“Don’t try to shirk your responsibility, Master. I have always been following your commands, lowering the defensive level of the array, and not creating any obstacles during Muria’s theft.”
“So, everything is my fault, it’s all my mistake.” The Golden Dragon Mother asked.
To this, both the head maid, Sophia, and the spirit of the castle, Angelia, nodded vigorously. Then, Sophia pointed at the many monsters behind her and said:
“Archmage Atris, if you let them stay in the castle, perhaps you would not have lost so many treasures.
But you didn’t; you had Angelia teleport them away every time young Mr. Muria came to the castle, leaving it unguarded in front of him.
Therefore, all the consequences are your own doing, so please don’t try to shift the blame onto us.”
The Golden Dragon Mother, Atris, remained silent for a moment, then, her expression shifted, and she tilted her head slightly, her eyes shining bright gold as if she had seen something interesting:
“Little Muria, it would be too easy to let you find the dragon like this, let’s add some difficulty!”
Then, the Golden Dragon Mother, sitting on her throne, reached out her hand, tore open a rift in space, and reached into it…
…
“Cassio, how long until the teleportation array is set up?” After a simple farewell with his many Titan friends, Muria returned to his residence and asked the spirit, looking at the almost complete huge teleportation array covering the courtyard floor.
“Almost done.” Cassio looked at Muria, and his voice flatly reminded him: “When you step into the teleportation array, you will be transported to the Ionian Subcontinent. According to the medium, you can directly reach the side of White Tiger Troy.
But after that, you will not be able to receive any help from me. Everything will depend on you alone. Are you ready?”
“I’ve packed everything that needs to be brought.”
Muria smiled, looked at the formed array and the single white hair in the middle of the array. Without hesitation, he stepped onto it, then, he activated the teleportation array.
The terrifying elemental fluctuation came, radiant spirit light exploded, and Muria was enveloped by a beam of light, tearing through the space, and began to traverse the long spatial distance…
At this time, a delicate, white hand silently reached out towards the pillar of light that contained Muria…
