Chapter 150 - 150 145 Nine Kings (Part One)

Chapter 150: Chapter 145: Nine Kings (Part One) Chapter 150: Chapter 145: Nine Kings (Part One) Muria looked up, affirming the cascading lights above him would not deviate from their paths and suddenly crash down on him before starting to walk slowly towards the pyramid.

Above him, the flowing lights coming from all directions posed a very strong threat to him, regardless of which beam of light it was.

Muria knew that any beam of light could annihilate him, leaving him nothing but a pile of ashes, or at best, some debris.

“I don’t want to stay in this place for even a second longer.” Muria, in his Titan form, surrounded by a hurricane, hurried towards the Void Forging Palace, not looking too pleased.

Anyone would feel uneasy with the ‘Sword of Damocles’ hanging above them. As for Muria, there were more than just “one” Damocles’ swords above his head. All he could see above were lights encompassing the sky, uninterrupted and seemingly endless, as they rushed into the pyramid.

“This style.” Muria, looking at the metal ground beneath him adorned with spirit light array patterns, couldn’t help but think of the Eternal Sky Mechanical City suspended in the void, with no definite end in sight.

“The Void Forging Palace should be the work of Mechanism Emperor Osiris, just like the Abyss Training Field is related to the Abyss Lord Ulysses.”

Before Muria could fully form his thoughts, he finally arrived under this silvery pyramid engraved with mysterious spirit patterns. Without hesitation, he plunged himself straight into the magnificent building.

Upon entering the pyramid, the feeling of impending death disappeared. The pyramid isolated all dangers, making it an absolute safe zone.

“Phew!” Muria exhaled, “No wonder this place is under the management of Mechanism Emperor Osiris.”

“Young Titan, this place is not under the management of that guy, Osiris.” As Muria’s voice fell, countless beams of light flew out from the walls, ceiling, and floor around him, eventually converging into a tall male Titan with bright eyes and a steely gaze identical to Muria’s height.

Muria had a brief moment of surprise. The manner in which this spirit appeared was exactly like that of a Mechanism Emperor-connected spirit. He found it hard to believe that the ‘Titan’ before him was not related to the Mechanism Emperor.

“You’re the Spirit of the Void Forging Palace!” Muria confirmed as he looked at the solidly formed Titan in front of him, who showed no signs of life.

“Correct!”

“So, if you’re a spirit, and Mechanism Emperor Osiris is not your controller, then who is your master?”

“I have no master.”

“No master? That’s impossible!” Muria frowned. The birth of a spirit leads to the existence of someone who can command it.

“Why is it impossible? I am the spirit of the Void Forging Palace, which belongs to the all Titans, not to any individual. Therefore, I can’t have a master. I am the most unique spirit of the Titan Clan.”

The young Titan Spirit spoke to Muria with a proud expression on his face.

“Then what does Mechanism Emperor Osiris mean to you?”

“My creator. He created me.” Upon seeing Muria’s enlightened expression, the Titan Spirit added: “But I don’t belong to him, I serve all Titans who need to forge weapons.”

“I see!” Muria nodded. In simple terms, the Void Forging Palace was a public property of the Titans, not privately owned.

“So, what’s your name?” Muria asked casually, “Or to put it another way, how should I call you?”

“A name?” The Spirit laughed, “Strictly speaking, I don’t have a name, because I don’t have a master. However, when I was first created, Mechanism Emperor Osiris referred to me as Hephaestus, the Spirit of the Void. You can call me that, if you want.”

“Hephaestus, Spirit of the Void!”

“Yes.”

“I am here to forge my exclusive weapon. What should I do?”

“Any Titan that comes here is here to forge their weapon.” The Spirit of the Void turned away and walked deeper into the pyramid, “Follow me.”

Muria followed him, looking around at the desolate silvery Weapon Casting Hall, “Don’t Titans visit this place often?”

“Would you want to stay here if you’re not forging a weapon?” The Spirit of the Void retorted.

“Uh…” Muria choked on his words. To be honest, the continuous flux of flowing light around the Void Forging Palace alone was enough to stir an impulse within him to leave the place. It simply wasn’t a place for a juvenile half-blood Titan like him.

Just being outside the pyramid felt like having a ‘Sword of Damocles’ hanging over his head, which was unbearable since his life would end the second any one of those sword dropped on him.

Muria decided to keep his peace, quietly following the Spirit of the Void deeper into the Void Forging Palace…

“What is this?” Muria stared wide-eyed at the scene before him, unable to hide the shock on his face.

At the deepest part of the Weapon Casting Hall, a nine-tiered, octagonal altar stood proudly, carrying countless complex and mysterious spirit runes that shimmered, producing horrifying fluctuations of power to distort the space around it.

At the top, the ninth level of the altar, a semi-transparent flame burned quietly, almost a hundred meters high.

Muria stood beneath the altar, watching the rampant flame. His mouth twitched, but he couldn’t feel any heat, even from this close distance.

Furthermore, Muria could not sense any danger from the flame, like it was just a normal raging fire. But how could it be a normal fire?

Because…

Above the altar, dense lights fell from the sky, forming a waterfall in mid-air which converged into the flame atop the altar.

The semi-transparent flame flickered gently, quietly devouring all the lights without changing its size.

“What kind of fire is this?” Muria questioned the Spirit of the Void with a look of curiosity, his face serious.

Each light beam carried a power that made Muria tremble. However, the waterfall of streaming lights pouring into the flame did not cause the slightest change in the flame, which only served to communicate how horrifying this flame was.

“Void-devouring Fire, Ten Thousand Void Divine Flames, God-devouring Demon Flame…”

“So many names?” Muria was stunned.

“Yes, I just thought of them.”

“…” Muria looked at the Spirit of the Void, speechless. He then proceeded to ask, “What’s its real name? Or, how do we Titans refer to it?”

“Eternal Flame!”

“That’s pretty good. So, I’m here to forge my weapon, what should I do?” Muria asked.

“Go up there, stand at the highest point.” The Spirit of the Void pointed at the altar.

Muria did as he was told, suppressing his unease, and walked up the altar. Finally, the black-haired Titan with golden pupils stared at the semi-transparent flame that was quietly burning before him.

“What’s next?”

“Throw your legendary metal into it.”
