King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 142 - 142 137 Soul Intent Soul Intent
Chapter 142: Chapter 137: Soul Intent! Soul Intent! Chapter 142: Chapter 137: Soul Intent! Soul Intent! In the courtyard of Muria, a snow-white “large cat” strolled into a quaint stone palace. As soon as it walked in, an overwhelming vitality greeted its senses, much like stepping into a lush ancient forest, compelling the white cat to take a deep breath.
After getting slightly accustomed to the rich life energy within the stone palace—it was so dense it felt like it was about to condense into droplets—White Tiger Troy came to a large pool as still as a mirror, its surface as smooth as glass, and gazed downward into the jade-green waters.
His greenish-blue eyes squinted slightly, observing the pool’s water. Lately, it seemed to have become increasingly darker and denser with the life force over time. Even though the pool now looked almost as dark as ink, it still could not conceal the radiant tri-color spirit light at the bottom—a spectacle produced by a considerable heap of elemental crystals.
Under the illuminating tri-color spirit light, White Tiger Troy could clearly see Muria, with wings on its back and six horns on its forehead, lying still in the water. Below him were eighteen soul-intent circles, even more evident amidst the radiant elemental spirit light, emanating an aura which made even Troy wary.
“Incomplete soul intent circles!” the White Tiger murmured softly, “just a bit more.”
Underneath Muria, those eighteen soul-intent circles, though highly noticeable and emanating an intimidating aura, gave White Tiger Troy an unreal sense of vulnerability and fragility.
“Given this rate, Muria should be waking up soon,” White Tiger said in a soft voice. For some reason, it was full of anticipation for the wake of Muria—it felt that at that time, something very interesting and significant would happen, a turn of events that might drastically change its life.
“Troy, you’re here to see Muria too!” At this moment, a delicate, timid voice echoed from behind the large cat.
White Tiger turned around, his blue eyes staring towards the marble door entrance where three red-haired, red-eyed young girls in lavish dresses stood. Just now, it was one of the girls, who seemed somewhat weak in dispos, who spoke.
“Hmm!” Troy nodded his head at the soft-hearted Renata, then squinted his eyes, staring at the other two red dragons transformed into charming young girls, “You two, behave yourselves, don’t touch anything in here!”
Red Dragon Cynthia and Jessica felt a bit awkward under White Tiger Troy’s watchful eyes and started looking around restlessly, avoiding Troy’s gaze. Among the Five Colored Dragons, the red dragons were by far the greediest, harboring an intense desire for treasure surpassing that of other dragon races.
Unlike Renata, who only wished to meet Muria, these two were also eyeing the elemental crystals covering the bottom of the Pool of Life, practically submerging Muria. The purity of these crystals was far greater than that of the crystals found naturally in the outside world, making them rare treasures.
“You’re overthinking, Troy,” Cynthia laughed off, “With Cassio overseeing everything, what could we possibly do?”
“We’re just here to check on Muria, same as Renata.”
“Good to hear,” Troy snorted, his greenish-blue eyes a bit fierce. Not long ago, these two red dragons had sneaked into the pool in their human forms, attempting to steal the elemental crystals in the Pool of Life, and were caught red-handed by him.
However, just as he was about to act, Cassio had thrown these two greedy little female dragons out.
…
As Muria slumbered, time flew by swiftly like a galloping white horse. Every month, White Tiger Troy, the Red Dragon Triplets, and the Academic Overlord White Dragon Clodia would come to visit Muria.
During this time, quite a few of the Titans that Muria is familiar with in the Titan Clan Lands come to visit him specially, such as the female Titan Heloise, who already possesses her exclusive weapon, the Fourth Tier Soul Intent Titan Atrean, the Titan teenager Gerald of the same age, and others.
In fact, many of these fellows came just out of curiosity upon hearing about Muria’s deep slumber. After all, Titans are not like the Giant Dragons, that have to enter a sleep state at certain intervals to move into the next age stage.
Although half-blood Titans have indeed appeared in the history of Elasia, a high-ranking half-blood Titan like Muria, who possesses the Dragon King Bloodline, is an extremely unique existence, the first to emerge among the Titan tribe in tens of thousands of years.
Meanwhile, Muria, who is asleep, is unaware of all these matters, having lost all his perception of the outside world. His conscious mind is immersing itself into comprehending power and grasping special states of the soul. This is the necessary path for advancing one’s Soul Intent.
As Muria was comprehending the true meaning of power, his Soul Intent Circles under his body were gradually solidifying. The previous ethereal sensation gradually faded, while the aura he emitted became even more astonishing. The visiting Giant Dragons or Titans, if not very powerful, felt a hint of oppression.
When Muria started to break through the realm of Soul Intent, his body automatically radiated an absorbing power, which absorbed the vibrant life energy contained in the pool water and the Elemental Crystals that covered the bottom of the pool.
With an ample supply of energy, his body began to gradually grow larger and more robust.
While Muria was in deep sleep, the form that he took did not always remain in its original shape; it would change from time to time.
At times, the Titans who came to visit Muria would see a Golden Giant Dragon basking at the bottom of the pool, emitting a radiating golden light. Its six Dragon Horns curled back, like a crown, and a palpable awe-inspiring aura spread out.
This form of Muria would sometimes give the visiting Red Dragon Triplets, White Dragon Clodia and other Giant Dragons an urge to bow and submit.
On other occasions, Muria would take the form of a tall, strong, perfectly built Titan, surrounded by thunder, not showing a single Dragon characteristic, but resembling a near-god existence with a pure Titan Bloodline – a Titan.
Most of the time, Muria was in a hybrid form of Titan and Giant Dragon. For instance, sometimes his upper half was Titan and the lower half was the Golden Giant Dragon. On other occasions, his torso was in the form of a Titan while his limbs turned into Dragon Claws — he was purely a Monster in those moments.
His Titan Bloodline and Golden Dragon Bloodline were further evolving and merging during this deep slumber…
On the day of Muria’s fiftieth birthday, marking exactly one year of his sleep, the Soul Intent Circles beneath him fully solidified. The Hybrid-form Muria opened his eyes at that moment. His dazzling golden pupils shot out two pale golden beams of light, piercing through the lightened pool water as if they were tangible.
Then, Muria, who was lying at the bottom of the pool, stood up stepping on the eighteen Golden Soul Intent Circles beneath him. The slowly rotating Soul Intent Circles, wreathed in thunder and flames with a hurricane swirling inside them, were at his feet…
