Chapter 1404 - 1404 1370 How Did You Surrender Before Me
Chapter 1404: Chapter 1370: How Did You Surrender Before Me? Chapter 1404: Chapter 1370: How Did You Surrender Before Me? “It’s a bit tricky!” Muria gazed at the battle before him, his brows slightly furrowing, as the Feathered Fire God and the Wind Elf King, although both possessing Intermediate Divine Strength, still had a slight disparity between them.
This slight gap was infinitely magnified within the Divine Kingdom. Although the Wind Elf King promised not to use the Divine Kingdom for direct enhancement of his power, the Divine Kingdom still provided immense assistance during the battle, such as continually supplying him with power to maintain his peak condition.
Compared to the Wind Elf King, the stamina endurance for the Feathered Fire God was problematic, especially since he was battling in another Deity’s Divine Kingdom and had also dispatched an Avatar, making it difficult to replenish divine power.
The balance on the battlefield was now maintained primarily because the Feathered Fire God had brought all three of his Divine Artifacts from home.
But this kind of balance would sooner or later be broken, and by then, the Feathered Fire God would be cleanly defeated by the Wind Elf King, who was always at his peak. At that time, Muria would have no choice but to retreat from this Domain with his Subordinate God.
Muria naturally did not want to see such a scenario, but at this moment, he could not intervene in the battle. He still needed to save face.
“My lord, I may not be able to meet your expectations and defeat this Deity.”
A voice of frustration sounded in Muria’s ear–it was the voice of the Feathered Fire God, who had begun to fall into a disadvantage.
Although he didn’t want to admit it, the Feathered Fire God had to respect the facts. He couldn’t defeat a god of the same level in another Diety’s Divine Kingdom, even if that Diety didn’t directly enhance his power.
There was no way around it. If he and the Wind Elf King had met outside, no matter how intense their fight, at most, it would result in a stalemate, with neither able to absolutely overpower the other.
But now, the Wind Elf King held an absolute geographical advantage. Even with raging anger, the Feathered Fire God could not win this battle; rage and other negative emotions couldn’t enhance a Deity’s combat strength.
“Don’t worry, do your best.”
Muria naturally adopted a gentle tone to comfort his deeply remorseful and anxious Subordinate God. After all, it was not the crime of the war.
“What I’m doing is an unstoppable grand momentum, even if he could procrastinate momentarily, he couldn’t delay a lifetime, the outcome has already been determined.”
“I understand.”
Feathered Fire God secretly sighed in relief in his heart upon realizing his defeat, knowing that he would not be blamed by the Divine Lord. Defeat, for a Deity, was not really a big deal; it was merely a loss of some benefits and face.
As an ancient Deity, when it was necessary to save face, they would die for it, but when being shameless was needed, what was face really worth? How much per pound? Do you want some? If you do, I’ll sell it to you.
With no more concerns, Feathered Fire God let himself go, no longer worried about consuming his divine power, used his Divine Artifacts broadly, launching powerful attacks, which pulled him back from a disadvantage, even gaining a bit of an upper hand.
But it was merely a desperate struggle. As the opponent of the Feathered Fire God, the Wind Elf King knew very well that this was just a surge of burst attacks; once this output phase was weathered, his opponent would weaken significantly.
And the events unfolded as expected by the three Deities present; Muria maintained his impartial stance, not intervening, and the Feathered Fire God inevitably was defeated.
He infused the last bit of power maintaining his Avatar into his Divine Artifacts for one final attack before completely dissipating, leaving the three Divine Artifacts floating in midair.
“You’ve won.”
Muria, with a calm expression, gestured with his hand and all the Divine Artifacts left by the Feathered Fire God floated into his hand. He would later return these three Divine Artifacts to his Subordinate God; it was one of the basic guarantees of a Deity’s combat strength, and he would not be so greedy as to steal them.
“I misspoke earlier; he’s not a waste. If not for being in my own Divine Kingdom, I couldn’t have defeated him.”
Having won the battle, the Wind Elf King didn’t take undue advantage and respectfully backed off half a step, aware of what provoking Muria might entail.
“Fine.”
Muria responded flatly. Although the Feathered Fire God was defeated, at the moment his Avatar dissipated he had not been completely overpowered, sustaining his dignity. This was why the Wind Elf King was being very well-behaved now.
This Deity, holding the power of wind, was no fool. If his Subordinate God could fight to such an extent in his Divine Kingdom, let alone the main God who had subdued him with force.
He remembered that this mild-mannered, seemingly fair figure before him had subdued the Feathered Fire God even before advancing. With such strength before advancement, how much stronger could he be after advancing? This was a question worth pondering deeply.
“As per our earlier agreement, I will now leave and guarantee not to invade your ruled Domain for a set period,” Muria spoke evenly, sounding almost the same as before, not at all perturbed by his Subordinate God’s defeat or his own failed plans.
