Chapter 1402 - 1402 1369 The Excuse for God Killing

Chapter 1402: Chapter 1369: The Excuse for God Killing Chapter 1402: Chapter 1369: The Excuse for God Killing Within the blue dome of the sky, an endless wind howled through the heavens at an unchanged pace throughout the ages, forming a river of wind—a true Heavenly River. Here, a river made of wind suspended in the sky was teeming with all kinds of bizarre creatures that depended on the wind to thrive.

And such a Heavenly River, crisscrossing through the blue dome, seemed dense and boundless. At a glance, it resembled a gigantic maze from which there was seemingly no escape.

The wind whistled softly, making a sound that could almost be ignored. This was a world wholly made of wind, a blue world devoid of any land, where the creatures dwelling within had no concept of earth.

This blue world maintained its usual tranquility, exuding an indescribable serenity. It seemed as if such stillness would last forever until a sudden tremor of the sky dome shattered the peaceful harmony.

Thus, all the Heavenly Rivers began to churn, and the elemental life forms inhabiting them grew panicked, for to them, this was the shaking of their world.

“Your Divine Kingdom seems to be managed quite well, are you sure you want our battle to destroy it?” a voice, elegant and refined, resonated within the blue world. And with this sound, the blue sky above cracked open, and golden light spread from the fissure, forming a broad path.

A great being, with a Divine Wheel turning slowly behind them, descended upon the blue world along the Golden Light path, spreading a supreme pressure with their arrival.

“I find it quite a pity.”

Muria looked out over the unique spectacle of the Divine Kingdom before him, voicing the genuine assessment from within his heart.

“If the Death Lord finds it a pity, why not retreat? This place can remain as tranquil as it has always been.”

Indigo Light converged from all directions of the Divine Kingdom toward a central point, where the Wind Elf King, carrying the majestic Divine Might, manifested his true form within His realm.

Bolstered by his Divine Kingdom, the Wind Elf King, with only intermediate Divine Strength, faced Muria head-on, his presence even surpassing Muria’s.

“Can’t you stop with these ignorant, foolish words? I feel pity on behalf of your deity status. If you yourself don’t care, then I have nothing more to say. Regardless, however it’s destroyed is not my concern, it will not significantly affect me.”

Golden Light radiated from Muria as the center, eroding the Dominion of the Wind Elf King. A world of black and grey bones rose behind Muria, as the aura of the netherworld began to spread, and Muria started to enact his authority as the Death Lord.

Such an act spurred the world to resist fiercely under its master’s control. The Heavenly Rivers reversed, transforming into white pythons that coiled towards Muria—not hoping to cause him much harm but merely to bind him, if only for a moment.

“Muria, are you so confident in your power? This is my Divine Kingdom. And you are nothing more than a deity with powerful Divine Force who has just been promoted. I acknowledge your extraordinary potential, but as of now, if you want to compete with ancient deities, you’re still lacking.”

Hearing Muria’s words, the Wind Elf King was exceedingly enraged, and within His Divine Kingdom, He no longer restrained His anger.

Every deity is extremely proud, or rather, prideful beings, worshiped by millions of creatures, even whole races, who respond to the prayers of their devout believers according to their own whims from their lofty positions.

Before domains were interconnected, deities were typically the strongest beings within their own domains, controlling everything about all the living creatures there, possessing authority that transcended mortal emperors.

Having been in such a position for a long time, bowing and submitting to other beings was unthinkable for the deities during the early period of domain interconnection.

However, after the domains connected, deities unsatisfied with their own strength and desiring expansion and plunder started attacking each other, and some weaker deities, after being brutally defeated by stronger ones, learned to bend the knee and endure humiliation.

But the Wind Elf King happened to be one of the few who hadn’t been brutalized, as His own strength was sufficient enough that even deities with a powerful Divine Force wouldn’t trouble Him lightly.

However, now Muria had come and selected this rather special deity as the first target of his conquest. Under such circumstances, the Wind Elf King naturally wasn’t willing to submit easily and, given His status, He naturally had no desire to bend to other deities.

Yet when He addressed Muria, He didn’t talk tough to the end, because He had witnessed the fate of other deities and realized that He wasn’t among the very strongest, so He was prepared for the day when He might have to endure humiliation and bear burdens for survival, if absolutely necessary.

Thus, He didn’t close off negotiations but instead set the terms for His submission—Muria had to defeat Him within His Divine Kingdom. For a powerful deity, this was a challenging task.

The Wind Elf King had hoped by winning he could make Muria reconsider, or at least buy Himself some time. However, He hadn’t expected this newly anointed Death Lord to be so resolute, launching into His Divine Kingdom without the slightest hesitation.
