King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 140 - 140 135 Deep Sleep
Chapter 140: Chapter 135: Deep Sleep Chapter 140: Chapter 135: Deep Sleep Muria, after remembering the array patterns that re-emerged from his deciphering of the Magic Array, left the exhibition hall. Under the gaze of some Dragonkin maids, he entered the library, picked out some books, and then left the Crystal Castle.
Instead of heading directly back to the land of the Titan Clan, he first visited the Giant City on Taiji Island. In the White Jade Divine Palace, he met with numerous giant leaders and Storm Giants, handling some important matters that had piled up. He also took the opportunity to accept the worship and audience of some giants who had recently arrived at the Titan Islands.
Finally, Muria returned to the Titan Clan Lands via the Teleportation Array he had set up in the White Jade Divine Palace.
When he returned to home in the courtyard, the place was serene and quiet under Muria’s psychic sensing. Cynthia, Jessica, Renata—the Red Dragon triplets—and Academic Overlord, the white dragon, were sound asleep in their rooms. White Tiger Troy was lazily sunbathing on the roof.
Muria, looking at the four sleeping Juvenile Dragons, did not disturb them. For them, fighting vicious battles in the Abyss was an extremely mentally draining affair, requiring constant vigilance.
For Muria, the Abyss Training Ground was merely a place to practice martial techniques and magic. Even though he was only at the Golden Rank Five, he could easily kill low-ranking Soul Intent Level demons when he went all out.
Even if he encountered a Major Demon at the Peak of Soul Intent, he could easily escape if he was unable to defeat them. As for Legendary Demons, it was not his concern. If such a high-level demon appeared, naturally, a Titan would take care of it.
However, to these adolescent dragons who had unanimously advanced to Golden Rank after consuming the flesh of the Legendary Sea Monster, the Abyss Training Ground was a dangerous place riddled with crises. Even a slight mistake could cost them their lives.
The Red Dragons’ power was around the Golden Third Tier. And among them, the six Red Dragons that had hatched first were far superior in strength to the other Five-Colored Dragons, just like Muria, they were at the Golden Fifth Order.
Although the rank was the same, the combat power difference was night and day. Moreover, Muria was on the verge of entering the Soul Intent Level at any time, whereas they would probably have to suffer through a dormant sleep before they could reach the Soul Intent Level.
Among the Five-colored Dragons, these six strongest Red Dragons could struggle to cope with demons at the first level of Soul Intent. Against higher-level Soul Intent demons, they were helpless and had to call for help from Muria.
That’s how the strongest Red Dragons are, and the younger Red Dragons and the four other weaker dragon races had even more difficulties surviving in the Abyss Training Ground. They had to always stick together for survival.
However, this was exactly what Muria was hoping for and loved to see. Under the pressure of death, the Five-Colored Dragons put aside their prejudices against the different dragon races. The strongest Red Dragons were willing to join forces with the White Dragons, considered a disgrace among the Five-Colored Dragons. The Blue Dragons also stopped despising the Green Dragons and Black Dragons, joining hands in the Abyss Training Grounds to survive, while killing demons in exchange for crystals.
This was one of the original intentions Muria had when he brought the Dragon Group into the Abyss Training Ground. He hoped that the Five-Colored Dragons he was raising could unite and learn to help their own kind.
While this idea may sound far-fetched, Muria hoped that the Dragons he raised could achieve this. For this purpose, he was not hesitant to use death to force them to learn unity. This method, so far, seemed to be quite effective.
“Big cat,” Muria flew onto the roof, came to the side of Troy, whose white wings were folded and whose body was snow-white all over. Then, he naturally lay down in its soft fur.
The large cat, half-closing its eyes and basking in the sun, felt Muria, who had nestled into its fur. Its ears twitched, and that was it. For over a decade, Muria had transformed into a human and laid on it countless times. Initially it resisted uncomfortably, but now it was truly indifferent.
“Cassio!” Muria, comfortably immersed in the snowy fur, called out the spirit’s name. At the same time, she transmitted the patterns of the Legendary Array she had memorized to Cassio through their connection.
A semi-transparent, slender figure formed next to Muria, about the same size as a regular human. After Cassio materialized her body, she waved her hand, and complex patterns began to form in front of Muria. These were the patterns that Muria had memorized yet was unable to break.
“Let’s begin breaking them.” Muria sat up and stretched lazily, then began to focus intensely on the patterns in front of her, attempting to break them. Meanwhile, Cassio stayed silent, quietly watching Muria, according to his mental wave, she produced holograms filled with profound array formation knowledge to assist him in breaking the patterns.
…
Time passed quietly, and a year flew by unnoticed. During this time, Muria kept training martial arts early every morning as usual, then she would challenge a few members of the Titan tribe and Blazing Sky God descendants, soak in the Pool of Life, study array formation, read magic books, and construct magic models within her Sea of Spirits.
Periodically, Muria also led the troop of Five-colored Dragon Race to the Abyss Training Ground, gaining experience and engaging in battles. She did everything in her power to erase the Dragons’ innate selfishness and brutality while instilling her own “correct” values.
Just as Muria turned 49 and was about to completely break down the defense arrays in the Golden Dragon Castle, the Dragon Bloodline subtly began to affect him.
At the age of 50, for the Dragon Race, it was time to enter adolescence.
As the sun just started to rise above the horizon, dispersing the darkness and casting the first ray of sunlight, some of the Five-colored Dragons who had stayed awake all night popped their heads out of their palaces and looked toward the ancient building on the hilltop. Usually, there should be the sound of weapons cutting through the air, but today, it was unusually quiet.
“What’s up? Why is it so quiet today?”
“Could it be that Muria is going to be lazy today? So she didn’t get up to practice her martial skills?” A blue dragon suggested unconvincingly.
“Do you think that’s possible?” Another green dragon contemptuously looked at the blue dragon who had inferred Muria was lazy, “Muria isn’t you, how could she possibly be lazy? For over a decade, I haven’t seen her rest for even a single day.”
“If Muria is not lazy, then something must have happened to her.” A white dragon calmly speculated, making the most accurate guess.
“What kind of problem?” A fierce-looking Red Dragon curiously asked. Although the white dragon was the weakest among the dragons, thanks to the presence of the Academic Overlord dragon Clodia, the white dragon’s magic casting ability was the highest among the dragons, and her intelligence was developed to an extreme.
“Muria has entered the hibernation phase, preparing to enter the next age stage.”
