King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 138 - 138 133 Almost (Part 1)
Chapter 138: Chapter 133: Almost (Part 1) Chapter 138: Chapter 133: Almost (Part 1) The greed of a giant dragon is rooted in its bloodline, it’s their nature. Even Muria couldn’t warp this nature, as he also possessed these dragon traits himself.
However, perhaps due to the presence of Titan bloodline in him, his greed only targeted rare treasures and resources such as legendary metals and life tree sap. As for resources like elemental crystals which are “common”, he didn’t care.
“Settle down and finish the elemental crystals. Don’t think about taking them out.” Muria sternly stared at these heavily injured giant dragons, “The elemental crystals you earn for slaying the demons will be given to you by Cassio after we tally up.”
What’s the best way to motivate a dragon? It’s money! Money, in other words, are all the valuable items and rare resources.
Nothing motivates a dragon more than this, from freshly-hatched baby dragons to ancient dragons that have weathered countless years. Young and old, they would all strive and fight for money.
So, when Muria took the dragon group into the abyss training ground, to prevent any dragons from loafing around, he set up a series of reward measures. Any dragon that killed a demon would be rewarded with elemental crystals. The quantity of the reward would depend on the strength and rank of the demon, thus maximising the dragon’s motivation.
Moreover, Muria didn’t just use discarded crystals whose elements had been depleted to fob off these Five Colored Dragons. Instead, he gave them real elemental crystals, abundant in elements, unused as rewards.
Twelve years have passed. The six red dragon eggs that the Dragon mother Atreus gave him have hatched and are almost entering the adolescent dragon stage. The dragon eggs that were given by his father, Ansol, have hatched and have all entered their juvenile dragon phase.
Dragons of this age should have some personal dragon fortunes. Being penniless is preposterous.
Reward and punishment were the strategies of kings. Relying solely on force and violence would cause problems sooner or later.
…Muria left the task of ensuring the eight severely wounded dragons eat their elemental crystals to White Tiger Troy. This beast possessing a legendary bloodline had also become stronger over the past dozen years, and like Muria, was on the verge of breaking into the Golden Peak Realm anytime.
Even if these dragons hadn’t been injured, they would barely match Troy even if all eight attacked together. So, with Troy watching, Muria wasn’t worried about these dragons causing any trouble.
“Cassio, after you’ve calculated the dragons’ rewards, distribute them directly. I’m going to take a bath.” Muria called out into the void.
“Understood!” Cassio’s semi-transparent figure didn’t appear, but her voice came from all directions. Strictly speaking, this courtyard was Cassio’s actual body, and what Muria usually sees is just a lump of elemental condensate.
Before entering the Stone Palace where the Pool of Life was, Muria turned his head to look at a hall entangled with green vines and blooming flowers. This hall seemed full of life, but the elf who used to live there was gone, leaving behind a desolate yet vibrant hall.
Years ago, after Muria learned the archery inheritance of the elf royal family, Hesel did not hesitate to bid farewell to Muria. Despite his numerous attempts to retain her, the breathtaking Silvermoon Elf was determined to leave and wouldn’t stay.
Not long after, the First Sword Saint, Ron, also left. Muria had passed on to the Sword Saint all aspects of swords in his Titan Martial Arts Inheritance. In turn, the Sword Saint taught Muria all the swordsmanship inheritance and experiences he had mastered.
When Muria sought to retain the Sword Master, he outright refused. He no longer had anything to teach Muria. Moreover, staying would not only prove unbeneficial to Muria’s growth but would, in fact, become a hindrance.
Day after day, year after year of instruction had fostered in Muria a certain dependency on the Sword Master Ron. It was precisely after the Sword Master Ron noticed this that he left directly after mastering the Titan’s Legacy Sword Technique.
The Sword Master’s departure left Muria quite regretful, but there was nothing he could do. Of course, what Muria was truly curious about was the Sword Master’s whereabouts. He had once heard the Sword Master mention that he seemed to have plans to leave Elasia and travel to other worlds. The Titan Clan Lands just happened to provide a means to this end.
Naturally, Muria wasn’t certain where the Sword Master had gone to, and even if he’d asked Cassio, there would be no answer. His cultivation was too low, and he did not have the right to know much news.
“Cassio, make the arrangements,” Muria commanded into thin air before sinking into the Pool of Life, “After my bath, I want to visit my mother’s castle.”
“Understood.”
…
Under the blue sky, radiant golden-scaled dragons flew, frolicking among the white clouds; beneath the group of dragons was a Crystal Castle, shrouded in a dazzling five-colored spiritual light under the sun.
Powerful dragons surrounding the castle emitted strong auras; their scales, like the dragons in the sky, refracted golden light under the sunlight.
They were all minions of the Golden Dragon Mother Atreus.
At that time, above the castle, a small teleportation array formed, and a child of about ten years old, with black hair and golden pupils, dressed in a dark blue robe, emerged and stood in mid-air.
“Roar! Roar! Roar…” The moment the child appeared, a few of the playful dragons noticed him. Then, startled roars rang out, attracting the attention of even more dragons.
Eventually, these originally idle Golden Flying Dragons scattered and fled abruptly, each dragon wanting to distance itself as far away from Muria as possible.
On the ground, some dragons that were lazily dozing off in the sun were awakened by the commotion of the skyward dragons. After noticing the child suspended in the air, these large fellows clumsily scrambled up, darting into the dense forest one after another to hide their forms and conceal their auras.
“Isn’t that an overreaction?” Seeing the skyward and terrestrial dragons treating him as fearsome as a wild beast and fleeing frantically, Muria sneered, “Didn’t I just train you a little last time?”
Every year, Muria would visit the Crystal Castle of the Dragon Mother Atreus several times, each time seeing those lazy dragons guarding around the castle. One or two times were tolerable but after many times, Muria could no longer bear it.
Having lived for over a decade on the Titan Islands, he could no longer tolerate such slothful behavior, hence he began to “train” the dragons in his own way.
